Mint Julep House

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was in a great location. Easy bike ride or golf cart ride to the beach club and camp watercolor. The house was clean and we were able to check in early. Having six bikes and a golf cart on the property (all in working condition!) when we got there was very convenient. We loved having the pool in the backyard as well as the grill. The property management company was responsive when we called. No issues at all. We had a great week and would highly recommend this house!

July Family Vacation

Just as described. We had 4 adults and 6 kids. Everyone slept comfortably. There were even additional beds that could have been used. Pool was in excellent condition. Hot tub worked. Golf cart was in excellent condition. Very smooth process and stress-free!

Great property

We loved our stay at Mint Julep. Very comfortable for our family of 10. Plenty of space. Easy check in/out. The bikes and cart are a bonus.

Graduation Trip

Great stay. There with 18 year old daughter and 5-6 friends. They had a great time. Nice home. Good private pool. Excellent service from property manager when we had an issue with included golf cart. Property crowded but that was expected. Beach access could be easier. Ideally beach chair rental for the trip would be included.

Great Girls Weekend

We had a great stay at the property and loved having access to all of the Watercolor amenities. The hot tub didn’t get hot, just stayed the same temperature as the heated pool, but still enjoyable!

Excellent stay!

We had a wonderful time with family here! The house was great for our group with kids from 6 months- 10 yo as well as 6 adults. The home was well stocked and clean. Plenty of space for everyone. Coffee on the porch and nights in the hot tub were amazing. We had a brand new golf cart that was so fun to drive around. Excellent location- minutes to a grocery store, pools, beach and shopping/restaurants- we didn’t need to get in the car at all. The host was extremely responsive and accommodating. We will be back to Watercolor and would highly recommend this home to anyone. The only thing I would recommend is to bring or buy towels for the pool- with all of us we were short on towels for pool and showers. Thanks for a great stay!!

Fantastic stay!

This is a great property for entertaining kids but also for adults who want to just relax! Sand Dollar could not have been more responsive and helpful. Highly recommend.

Perfect!

We love watercolor and visit several times each summer, but this was our first Christmas there and this home was perfect! The house was spacious with great porches and ample parking for three cars (some houses only have space for one car) a great pool with a jacuzzi we used nightly, and a fabulous six seater golf cart! We hope to visit this property again!

Great stay at Mint Julep

Wow, we loved our stay at this property. Very well appointed, great floorplan, fantastic outdoor area with hot tub and pool, and convenient location near all Watercolor amenities and services. Really appreciate the communication with property management, they were very helpful and responsive in resolving an issue with the golf cart. Would definitely stay here again.

Disappointed

The description of the house was a lie. There was barely a yards for our dogs. The grill was awful. The golf cart is old. The bikes were old and we had to call property manager to bring decent ones. The house was dirty. No drawer space to put clothes in. Been coming to Watercolor for 12 years worst house. Side note the property manager showing up fixing the bike situation was why I gave it 2 stars

Watercolor with the dog

I chose the Mint Julep because we could bring our furry family member along. I know that homes that allow a dog are not as nicely kept as ones that do not…This home has nice space and is decorated very nicely. The slip covers on the couches and chairs are all dirty and stained… because it’s pet friendly. The kitchen has dishes ready for use. There was one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and one roll of paper towel in the kitchen… the minimum stay is 7 nights. There are no beach or pool towels. There is one trash bag for use. There is a small bar of soap for hand washing at the sink. For almost $2,000 a night, the host was stingy and we had to purchase basic essentials in order to make it the full week. The bikes are rusty and old, the golf cart broke down at major intersection.

Nice stay

We enjoyed our stay at Mint Julep. Here are the pluses and minuses of the home: Pluses: -golf cart was a huge plus for getting around -location is fantastic. Super close to Publix and Camp Watercolor as well as the beach -beds very comfy -spacious home with great floor plan -cute front porch with big swing -upstairs area was perfect for kids Minuses: -pool alarm was absolutely annoying. We stay in Florida homes with pools every summer and have never dealt with anything like this. Constantly having to remember to push the button to turn off was so annoying when you have a family of 9 with 5 kids. -floors seemed very dirty, almost like a black film -screen porch is oddly located and only has a dining table on it. Would be better with some chairs and couches -fire pit area needs cleaned up. Not inviting. -No beach towels provided. Which just means more stuff to pack. -no lids for any of the pots! -cover on front porch swing cushion could use a washing -no cushions on back porch couch. And the pillows were dirty We would probably stay here again but the property just needs a a few little basic fixes to make it a 5 star stay. With the money you pay to stay here it needs to be better managed rather than “set it and forget it”.
