The house was in a perfect location. It was only a short walk to the lake, Truckee Pub, and the ice cream shop. The kitchen was well stocked for all cooking needs. Property management company is very easy to communicate with. Table/chairs in the back were very weathered, and scattered around the patio area. Lots of tall weeds so not usable. We enjoyed the deck and grill off the 2nd floor.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! The location was peaceful and beautiful—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The cabin itself was a great size for our family and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was decently stocked with essentials, and we especially appreciated the cozy atmosphere. We also lucked out with fantastic weather during our visit, which made it even better. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back again!

Great house / perfect location

The house was wonderful and could not have been more ideally located. Walking distance to Donner Lale Pub and the ice cream shop, five minutes to ski sugar bowl and ten minutes to Truckee!

Easy weekend in the snow

The house was perfect for our family and friends. 3 teens. 4 adults. Close to skiing and snow shoeing. Kitchen was stocked with all the equipment we needed. Great table for puzzles and board games. Easy in and out.

Central location, well-stocked kitchen, delightful owners

Stayed here in March so we could snowboard at Sugar Bowl, which is just 10 minutes to the west. There were only four of us, but the place could easily fit a large family -- lots of places to sleep. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, and when we wanted to go out for a meal, Truckee was only 10 minutes to the east. The owner gave us her cell phone number upon arrival, and we ended up using it when we couldn't find the remote for the DVD player. (They have a solid collection of movies also.) Her husband called right back, and we sorted it out. Next time we come to Tahoe to play, this is the place we'll book if it's open.

Great Tahoe Adventure for Family Reunion

We are return customers to this lovely, spacious home, where we gather grandparents, parents and grandkids, for a grand old time. Home is very comfortable and kid-friendly (they even supply a baby gate for the stairs, which came in handy for the one-year old).We enjoyed the comfortable living room area, large dining table, grill on the porch, spacious kitchen well stocked with cooking utensils, pots, etc., the nearby park at the lake with kid friendly jungle gyms and the nearby Donner Ski Ranch. Owner keeps the driveway well snowplowed too and the place was clean, the towels fluffy, everything was great.

Great Stay at a Cozy Cabin

This cabin is newly remodeled and really nice. Our children are just learning to ski this year so we have Boreal season passes. We stayed two nights and it was convenient to only be a ten minute drive away. We ate at The Pub at Donner Lake twice and the food was great. It snowed quite a bit on our last day but it wasn’t an issue since the roads and driveway were plowed. We had a wonderful stay and would use this cabin again! 5 Stars :)

Treacherous Home Entry

The house was fine. Downstairs was freezing! They are building a deck and the 6 feet from the parking pad to the front door was ridiculous. It was icy, muddy and full of holes which made it quite treacherous to navigate, especially at night. The owner’s response was uncaring. I would never rent this property again.

Absolutely loved our winter stay here. Quiet, comfortable, and despite massive snow and a road closure, it was easy to navigate and enjoy skiing at Sugar Bowl resort. We can’t wait to return and might even try the summer season vibe here.

Comfortable and Scenic Ski Cabin

We had a family reunion at the ski cabin including young children (who were old enough to navigate the stairs ). The rooms were perfect to accommodate our family of eight. Each subset of the family was comfortable. The roomy kitchen was well-equipped, had easy low benches for storage of food supplies we brought, and was easy to use. The living room area was cosy and accommodated a crowd, the dining table as well. There was a great hall storage as you came in for all the ski supplies and wet shoes. Easy access to local ski slopes that were kid friendly. And we loved the short walk to the Donner Lake park with beautiful views. The parking was well-plowed and accommodated our three cars-two trucks and a suv. Also, when we signed up, most of the reviewers were summer visitors. So I can say YES, the house was well-insulated, the whole house heater worked well, and the small room space heaters in the downstairs bedrooms were much appreciated especially to keep our youngest guest warm. The only downside was the challenge of meeting a ten a.m. check-out-we managed but it was a bit hurried.

Perfect location, comfortable home!

We loved our stay in Donner. This home has two bedrooms downstairs (master and bunk room) and one upstairs where the kitchen and family room are. We loved having 2.5 baths and a washing machine. Walking distance to the beach and pub along with public docks. Homeowner was very helpful and responsive. Kitchen well stocked. We would love to stay here again. Everyone was comfortable and happy!

Excellent location

We loved the home, especially the location as it was a close walk to the beaches. We lived out of a wagon all week. We just loaded it up with food and beverages and walked over to the beach. What a great stay!

Beautiful and relaxing!

This property was perfect for our little getaway. The house is roomy, clean, and cozy! We loved walking, hiking, kayaking and spending time across the street at the lake. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful house with everything we need

We like the place. But The cleanliness of the room with the bunkbeds is not good, one of the top bed sheets are not clean with hairs on the pillow.

Great House/Location!

This property was exactly what we needed for the week. We attended a wedding at Donner Lake and had 5 adults and 2 kids stay very comfortably. We probably brought too much because the house had everything and the attention to detail was spot on. I haven’t repeated a vacation stay before but we would rent here again!

Great property, just not in summer

This property is well-equipped, modern, and clean. It’s only a couple minutes from the lake, which is nice. I would, however, caution against booking in the summer. The property has no AC (like most houses in the area) and it gets uncomfortably warm inside. The living/dining/kitchen are on the second floor and the temperature goes up a good 15-20 degrees from the first to second floor. It was quite nice outside at night. And still very very warm inside. This would be a great property for Spring/Fall/Winter. With the increase in Donner Lake temps, it’s just not a comfortable stay in the warm summer months.

Perfect stay

The cabin was very clean and just as described. The location was prime . Very close to the lake , walking distance . Owners are very friendly a d accommodating. Would return.

A Wonderful Stay

We just had the nicest stay at this property. The proximity to the lake is great - its an easy walk even with kids and beach stuff. Also easy to access the China Wall hike, other trails, and there is a great ice cream place 0.5 miles away. The home is very well appointed - the furniture and beds are very comfortable. It is well stocked with hand sanitizer, shampoo + conditioner plus little extas like hot chocolate packets, microwave popcorn, and ear plugs. For the other parents out there, a quick description of the set up. There is a mud room as you enter, then the master suite, and the kids bunk room (two sets of bunk beds!) with a full bath + laundry. Upstairs is the third bedroom with a half bath, living area, dining and kitchen. Out back is an outdoor table and chairs. We have three small kids who loved the bunk beds and we like being close to them in an unfamiliar setting, so the set up was great for us!
