Hi Warren, It was also so nice to meet you, your wife, and your daughter Skylar. Skylar's got a beautiful and friendly personality and I can see she's gonna be a pleasure to watch grow up. I also was certainly surprised to hear about the two roaches as my husband uses a home defense system regularly to prevent those creepy crawly insects from getting into the house. We're right next to the ocean so it's important to keep the inside and outside of the property really clean and so I want to thank you for your kind review. Aloha Leo, I really appreciate your kind review of our three bedroom beach home but feel I need to respond to your concerns. Our current listing of the entire property for $385 nightly does include all three units; upstairs one bedroom unit, downstairs two bedroom unit, and studio, however, your booking request which was made over a year ago did on the website indicate that for 5 or less guests the nightly fee included just the one bedroom upstairs and two bedroom downstairs units. Your booking request and the contract I provided indicated just 4 guests (yourself, your wife, daughter, and son) and the contract and Welcome Letter indicated just the two units with the nightly fee of $245 which you paid for 4 guests. At the time of your booking we did have a base rate for four guests with a charge of $30 nightly for additional guests for up to 10 guests. It was only this past November that the listing changed and now indicates a set nightly fee of $385 for the entire property for up to 10 guests. While you informed me the afternoon of your check in that your wife's mother was now with you and needed the studio, I was unable to accommodate you and felt bad that you had not informed me earlier of the additional guest. Had I been informed earlier we could have worked out the adding of the studio unit. I was also surprised that you indicated your daughter needed to sleep on the downstairs sofa as you told me she would be sleeping on the queen futon sofa sleeper in the upstairs living room where I provided additional bedding for her use. I am sorry if the four beds (three queen size and one full size) used did not provide enough comfort for your family of five. Please know that I fully enjoyed meeting your wife and your daughter during their previous stay at our beach home several years ago and appreciate having you and your family as return guests.
