Lovely Place

Nice property for 4 adults. Immaculate, beautifully cared for property. Lots of well done outdoor space. Would definitely rent here again. Great location in Marathon.

We had an amazing stay! Our home away from home was clean and well decorated. Very comfortable. We had everything we needed! Close to Publix, Walgreens, and a bike ride away from Sombrero Beach. The pool was perfect and being on a canal was a bonus! Easy access to fishing for my guys! We would 100% rent again.

Great house, great place

This home was absolutely adorable. The pictures on the listing were good but didn't do it justice. Better than my expectations. Had everything we needed for our stay. The grills were wonderful, as was the hot tub. Location to the beach was perfection. Hope to visit again soon!!!

Great vacation in Marathon

We had a great time at Casa Carrera. Our family of 4 really enjoyed our time here. The house was very clean and pictures are accurate in the listing. Our kids loved the pool and was the highlight of the house. It was close to the beach and grocery stores. There were a lot of extra things in the house like beach chairs, sand toys, and a beach bag that we used while we were there. We will definitely come back!

Low Key in the Keys

Property was an awesome choice. Perfect for 4. The house was clean, had everything bath towels, beach towels, everything kitchen. Outside space… where do you want to sit? There is a seat or lounge for that! Pool was phenomenal, outside kitchen, shower. Could not beat location. A mile from sombrero beach. A mile from grocery stores, pharmacy and a mile from Dockside Boot Key Harbor bar/restaurant.

Casa Carrera Highlights

The location was great. Close to Sombrero Beach. The property was amazing. New in ground heated saltwater pool with hot tub and outdoor cooking center. Lots of places to sit with friends or alone. Fishing off the dock was fun - caught lots of fish (including a barracuda). We ate at the house mostly but lots of great restaurants close by. House was clean and beautifully updated. Sad we only booked for one week…could have stayed much longer. Only slight complaint was dock needs attention. Outdoor grass or refinishing - both guys got quite a few splinters in their feet. But overall it was amazing.

Fun, relaxing week!

Pictures are accurate for this lovely home. Outdoor area and pool can’t be beat. This was our second visit to Casa Carrera. We loved it again!

Nice rental, would rent again!

The house was very nice and well equipped. However, lounge chair cushions for chairs on the dock are in terrible condition and should be replaced. Plus there were only 2 cushions and there were 4 chairs. Also, dish towels were pretty stained and should be replaced. Additionally, smaller and more coffee mugs are needed. Finally, there really is no pantry or cabinet space to store dry food but it was ok. However, in spite of these minor issues, we would definitely rent this property again!

Enjoyable and relaxing stay

A great vacation rental. The new pool and upstairs deck were the best features, although inside was also perfect for 3 adults. The photos really showed a true representation of the property condition and size. We had one defect to report, which was dealt with swiftly. We enjoyed the friendly iguanas. The only criticism was the grill - the drip tray was very dirty and a fire hazard if we had not cleaned it ourselves. Thank you

Great getaway in the Keys

My family of 4 spent a great week at the Casa Carrera. The house had everything as described, clean and comfortable for the 4 of us. Please note the house is more of a 2 bdrm apt - renters are only to use the top floor while the bottom is locked, a bit of inconvenience if you have to go to the bathroom while lounging by the pool. I guess the owner wants to keep part of it private for own use, no prob. But my expectations were that when the pictures show a 2 story house, I will have the use of the entire house no exceptions. The manager of the property was very responsive to our needs- they got things that the house came short of such as coffee filters for a coffee maker. No biggie. Small suggestions from my own experience and I’ve stayed in many VRBOs all over the world: Leave some non-perishables for renters, such as salt, oil, spices, flour, sugar, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, paper towels ( we got a roll in a welcome basket) , etc, it makes a huge difference when you arrive at the house and don’t have to run to supermarket at 9pm to get a full supply of those. Just a suggestion, makes me feel at home and welcome, my vacation much more relaxed. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves at this house.

The house was nice but not up to a standard VRBO. No cabinet space in the kitchen. The dishes were thrown in the few cabinets that were there, no organization at all. Had to pull things out to find what you were looking for. The 2nd bedroom bed is a king bed but horrible. Anytime you sat, laid or moved on the bed it made a crunching noise. No where to sit and eat indide

Comfortable & Relaxing

We enjoyed our stay and were happy with the home. The pool is small, but perfect for 2 couples. Screened-in porch is a plus also. Be aware you will hear frequent airport noise during the day (not at night) if you’re out in the backyard. But you will enjoy the use of kayaks and paddle boards, love the hot tub, and possibly see manatees off the dock!
