My sister and adult daughter and I spent the weekend here. We were impressed with the cleanliness, the design, and the view from the patio and deck. From the primary bedroom and bathroom, you can see the mountains through the windows. We especially loved the location as it's just two blocks from shops and restaurants. Walkability is a high priority for us. This property was just right!

Just right for BV weekend wedding

Location! Kitchen had basics on hand, comfortable seating and gathering spaces, and comfy beds. Check-in was easy. One guest had mobility challenges so no main floor shower was something we had to work around.

Great Mountain Getaway!

Really nice house decorated with a modern mountain vibe. Neat and clean. Didn’t need the host for much but very responsive when we had questions. Make sure you take advantage of the second floor deck for star gazing and morning coffee. Very close and walkable to Main Street.

Cute property in great location. Property included a lot of the extra items like shampoo, deodorizer, laundry detergent. Construction is loud in area, but is only from 7:30 to 4:30 most days.

Great Time in Buena Vista

We were in Buena Vista for a wedding. We have been to Buena Vista several times for rafting over the years but had never visited downtown. The downtown area was a pleasant surprise. Many great restaurants. Louie’s ice cream was a fun way to end an evening. The property was ideally located and comfortable. We walked downtown several times. The hiking trails near the river are also nearby. We would definitely like to visit again.

Enjoyable Accommodations in BV!

The orange house was great! Plenty of room with 3 bedrooms, living and kitchen! Great outdoor spaces on top deck and front porch. We could listen to music from Main Street in the evenings. Kitchen was equipped with everything you need and a nice pantry to store everything. There’s no ice maker-ice trays were nice to have! The house does not have AC or an attic fan. Upstairs got warm especially front room. The rooms have light colored blinds-hard with little’s during the summer. Quiet neighborhood and loved being able to walk to Main Street, park, and river!

Nice place, clean, convenient location. Somewhat difficult to see the house number at night time, it’s really dark and there are no street lights. The house numbers are a darker color on top of darker background paint. Front yard needs some mowing, as you have to walk through thigh high weeds to get to the front door. Keys are hanging from a cage around a plant across from the porch , not on the porch. It’d be an easy 5/5 with these annoyances on check in.

Very nice house!

This is a beautiful, cozy house on the wild side of Buena Vista. I say “wild side” because we saw deer feeding in the yard almost every day and all the burros for the burro race were billeted in the field just outside the kitchen windows during our stay! The house looks new and modern. It has plenty of room to be comfortable. We spent several afternoons on the front porch, rocking away and watching the sun set. The bed in the master bedroom was comfortable and we enjoyed being able to open the windows at night to feel the cool air while we slept. Who needs AC?! The kitchen is well equipped. We liked cooking on the gas hob and taking our meals at the picnic-style table. This is a very nice mountain home and we plan to return soon!

Nice property

We stayed 3 nights - we were in town for a family reunion and a memorial service. It’s location was great for both. The house construction in the neighborhood is a little less then desirable.

Great place, great location

Excellent property for up to 7 people. great view from the house/porch. Very close to main street(walkable), which has plenty of good restaurants. Not far from the river.

Fantastic Place!

Perfect location and wonderful house. Check in process was super easy and the place was very clean. We walked to all restaurants, shopping, and grocery store. The neighbors are close but very quiet. I would definitely stay here again!

The Orange House is a great place to stay in BV. Location is perfect and close to everything - Main, South Main, trails, grocery store, river recreation. Also , BV is a wonderfully, chill town with so much to offer and convenient for day trips to Salida, Breck, Twin Lakes, etc. The home is very well equipped, had everything we needed. Beds super comfortable, front porch was lovely, deck off master bedroom super nice, laundry useful (even had supplies available for our use), games to play, kitchen is top notch and had all we needed (even spices/supplies in the pantry)! The only suggestion I have for the owner is to try to improve the master shower (floor very slick and water pressure is not good). Highly recommend this home for your BV stay!

Great house

This house was perfect for our stay in Buena Vista. Bedrooms were good size with comfortable beds. The location to the hiking trailhead was a welcome plus. And there was a disc golf a couple blocks away.

Fun time in Burns Vista

The home was charming and has the perfect location for all things in Buena Vista. The only problem we ran into was getting into the home upon arrival.
