Lovely cosy property, with an incredible host! Angus answered all our questions about the area and anything ski-specific. The fireplace was great! Kitchen equipment sufficient for any person arriving with only a suitcase.

Snow trip

We have stayed at this property a number of time over the last 5 years, it is a great cost effective base for a ski trip. Kalkite is a peaceful village away from the Jindabyne hustle, a bit further to drive but well worth it. Angus is a great host, excellent communication, we have never had one issue at the property everything works, nice and warm with a couple of living spaces and functional kitchen, electric blankets keep everyone warm at night! We will no doubt be back. Cheers Greg

Relaxing stay

We have stayed in this house for the winter holidays three years in a row. The house has everything you need to just come and live, including some of the food and other necessary household items that you would use in your own home. If you are not afraid to use a fireplace and do not require modern design - this house is for you.

Older property, very comfortable. Good facilities except no WIFI. Fire place added great atmosphere. A couple of the mattresses need replacing. Overall good value, pleasant vibe & would stay again

Another snow trip!

We have now stayed at Angus property on 4 occasions, it is great for our family, well equip, clean, fresh line, elect blankets and wood stove, plenty of room and a host that communicates well and makes sure everything is ok. Will stay again when we head to Perisher!

Nice place to stay

The house is very spacious, and the wood heater provides special comfort. The owner is a very caring person, in the house you can find absolutely everything you need for living.

Snow Trip to Perisher

We had 10 days at Angus property, it is a great place for family and friends to kick back after a hard day on the slopes, great wood fire with good stock of wood, all the heating and facilities you need, clean linen, towels etc. All good for our second stay at this property!

definitely a winner considering price/location.

Old style house and could do with a proper spring cleaning and may be aircon as it was quite chilly and the fire place took 3 days to start pumping heat. Hot water in the en-suite bathroom ran out pretty quick too. But overall we had a great stay and the house is relatively close to the slopes (it's actually 15 mins drive to the closest shops/service station, not 7 as it says in the description). If you want to be early at the ski resort on Saturday and Sunday make sure you leave not later than 6.30 am or even earlier if it snowed the night (they stop cars and make them fit chains)!!!

Great stay in spite of some nuisances

Great base for the Snowy slopes. Some minor issues but good communication with owner so overall it was a good experience. Just note you will need some advanced aptitude with fireplaces to keep yourself warm.

Amazing Stay

We had a lovely stay with great hospitality from the owner. He went above and beyond to make our stay incredibly enjoyable. The bottle of wine when we first arrived and a top up of wood for the fire were particularly amazing. The house was super cozy and functional and right over the road from the lake. Unfortunately our stay was cut short due to lockdown but the owner was very understanding. Overall great stay and looking forward to booking it again next year.

A great location, away from Jindabyne crowds and stroll to the lake for swimming. Great in Summer.

Great spot for a week of skiing

This was the perfect home for a week of relaxing skiing, cooking and resting. We made good use of the kitchen and the fireplace was a dream! The hosts were great, responsive, and very easy to be in touch with - really appreciated their help with answering a few questions in the lead up to our trip!

Amazing holidays

Great place to stay!! Very clean, comfortable and with all utilities available. We had one day snowed! It was incredible!! My husband loved the quantity of movies and the bath to relax our legs after all day skiing was great! Thank you so much! We loved the house!!
