Fantastic place to stay!

The pictures of this property don't do it justice. It is absolutely amazing! This cabin is huge, and it is in a nice quiet location. We were looking for a relaxing get-away and this was perfect for us. We also liked that it is only a few miles to town. We would definitely stay again.

Amazing place to stay!

The pictures don't do justice as to how big this cabin actually is. You feel like a little kid when you walk into the main room. We wanted to get away from city life and this was perfect for us. It is close to town but not so far away that getting groceries or something to eat is ever a problem. The cabin seemed well maintained, and it was a perfect place for any family wanting to visit. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Large Fairplay cabin close to town

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cabin. It was only a few minutes from town but felt very secluded. It had tons of space and even larger than the pictures show. Great bar area and pool table in the basement. We also enjoyed the large wrap around deck. We would rent again. Thanks for having us!

Better than expected

When we first pulled up we thought we were at the wrong location. The cabin was more stunning than expected. Be ready to get your steps in, this cabin is massive. There was plenty of room for my little kids to run and play. We enjoyed feeding the chipmunks sunflpwer seeds

Huge beautiful cabin, well equipped with every thing you need, Great views, we were there when it was 6°f, and we found down stairs was easier to keep warm with the low ceiling. Only issue was there was very little fire wood, only enough for 1 night, so we had to go and buy it, and for the amount we paid for the villa, we would expect a good supply of fire wood to last our visit. Apart from that, we had a great time and if in the area again, would defiantly be back.

Very nice place but, far too many complicated situations within.

The home is very nice but, very complicated. Far too many remotes that don't seem to go to anything or work. Light switches that don't seem to connect to anything. Was happy with the WiFi. House is extremely noisy as it is constantly moving which makes sleeping while being a light sleeper somewhat difficult. Getting hot water upstairs was a waiting game. Was happy overall though.

Excellent Stay!

We loved our stay!! Plenty of space, beds, and plenty of places to park. We saw multiple moose walk through property during our stay which was a wonderful surprise! Hot tub and sauna worked great and were a great touch on a wonderful weekend. The host was very responsive and assisted with the rare issues that we encountered at an appropriate and satisfactory rate. 10/10 will be staying again!

Beautiful place

We enjoyed our trip for the most part, only complaints I have is it was 14 degrees the evening we arrived & no heat was in the house & was not aware we needed to provide our own firewood so the entire house the first night we was there was 57 degrees even with having to drive back to town an purchase firewood for the fireplace in the living area. It was the next evening before the temperature was around 65 in the house with fireplace going an finally made it to 68-70 by our 3rd night an maintained 68 throughout the rest of the stay. Also was not aware the hot tub was 200ft away from the house with a camera pointed directly at the hot tub from the house. Heated floors were great once everything heated up! We had to have someone come check the thermostats an reset them for the house to begin to heat up, the house doesn’t have central heat, the heat comes from the heated floors an fireplaces. Fireplace in the master was junk wouldn’t stay ignited from gas an the 20mins it actually stayed on it did not put out any heat so was just a wind decoration for the master room. It’s a very beautiful & spacious place but the manager or whoever is taken care of the property for the owners needs to take into consideration to turn heat on especially when it’s supposed to be 7 degrees outside by morning along with explaining you need to bring your own firewood because it’s not provided. The first night we were there my wife & daughter was so cold they wanted to go find a hotel after paying the rates for this place per night even with the fireplace going. Food for thought if going in the winter while it’s cold have them turn the heat on unless someone is staying prior to your arrival, the excuse we received was nobody had been in the has for a week well that’s fine but my booking had been paid for 6 months atleast have the curtsy to turn the heater on knowing it takes 48hrs to heat to a decent temperature inside. This is the first place we have stayed in Colorado for our Christmas vacation that we have had this issues at all & first place that didn’t offer central heat nor firewood. Pretty ignorant in my opinion due to the cost of this place, regardless of the size.

AWESOME PLACE

Overall this is a great place to stay. The heated floors were amazing. The bedrooms and bathrooms were nice. The cabin is high! Great place for a big family! We had minor issues. The fireplace didn’t light in the master bedroom. Host notified and told us it was because of the direction of the wind. A few things in the kitchen could have been updated. Coffee machine etc. My vehicle didn’t make it up the hill. Got stuck a few times. Will definitely visit again!

Amazing!

This property is beautiful. We had an amazing time. We were visiting from Florida and had so much fun playing in the snow, sledding down the driveway, and enjoying the hot tub. Four grown adults (ages 30-50) playing and relaxing without a care in the world.

Beautiful (and clean) Mountain Cabin!

The cabin is amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and well maintained. It has everything you need including a fully stocked kitchen. The view from the deck is beautiful. Having a hot tub and sauna was a real treat. During these (COVID) times I've had some concerns about the cleanliness and sanitization of rentals. Those concerns went away very quickly once we arrived and saw the place was cleaned very well. It has been over 14 days and none of us that stayed there had any symptoms! I highly recommend staying here!!!

Beautiful cabin

The cabin was very beautiful. We rented it for a family get together, 12 of us ranging from age 6 to 59. It had everything to keep all ages entertained, from the hot tub to the pool table and family dinners at the huge kitchen table. We even got to see an elk outside our window. Everyone enjoyed our stay. My complaints: Some of the tv remotes didn't work, and the cabin could use a really good dusting. Dust was all over everything. And something to be aware of. Fairplay sits at an altitude of almost 10,000 ft. Some of us got sick the first couple of days, and others experienced headaches most of our stay.

Amazing getaway

This property is amazing! So big you could get lost in it. My family had a wonderful week here. Air conditioner didn’t work but it was cool enough with the widows open. We loved everything about this place! Sure to return!

Beautiful secluded mountain house

Just like the pictures. House is beautiful and warm floors for a winter trip. Hot tub was great. Read the description as a 4 wheel drive is needed in this area.

Beautiful home for a large family retreat!

This house is everything in the photos and more! It looks just like the pictures, and everywhere you look, you see more great decorative detail! The charm of this home gets the highest possible rating! On the main floor, the kitchen is open to the great room living area with fireplace focal point and massive dining table. The views are phenomenal. Also on the main floor is a master bedroom with bath that includes jet tub and shower and a gas fireplace. The main floor also has another bath with shower. The entry hall has good space for coats, shoes, and our hats and gloves in the winter. The heated bathroom and kitchen floors on thd main level were a nice luxury. The spiral staircase leads up to a small loft and spacious bedroom with 2 single beds, the views up there are best in the house. The basement was another favorite space, there is a bedroom with 2 queens, and one with a king bed. There is a washer/dryer. The full bath has a sauna too! The bar area is massive, we enjoyed playing games and hanging out. We played pool, this was also great space for my toddler granddaughter, nice carpeted with TV, we could shut the door to upstairs and most baby proof spot in the house. There were just a few hiccups and I made the property manager aware so that they can fix them. We never did get the gas fireplace in the master to work, they said the pilot must have blown out. Not all of the T.V.s worked. The blinds on the master were broken so you could not open and see the views, some lights were out and it was dark in the master. However, this home did provide what we were looking for in a family vacation spot where we could all be together. There is not a lot to do right here in the winter, but we enjoyed visiting the Southpark sovenir store and some of the local restaurants & bars. Southpark brewery had great craft beer, and Soup pot for soup, grillec cheese, and baked potatoes. My sons rented snowboards at Alpine Sports and went to nearby Hoosier pass. Breckinridge is less than an hour away. We enjoyed skimobiling and dog sledding at Good Times Adventures just outside of Breckenridge. I came with my family of 8, including toddler and a senior, for one week. As people have said in previous reviews, the house number is tough to see when you first arrive especially in the dark and partially covered by snow, it would be nice if the sign could be raised and/or lit up. The stairs were tricky, but we did find shovels and there was a good handrail. T

Annual Snowboard Trip from Florida

This property was amazing! Everything we saw in the photos and more! We had one small problem finding the house on check-in day but after a couple U-Turns we located the “175” address sign in all the snow. It was literally dreamy pulling into the driveway with snow EVERYWHERE. This house along with our experience at Breckenridge made us fall in love with Colorado and the mountain lifestyle. A few of the guys on the trip along with myself plan on moving out there after we finish college next year. The hot tub was an amazing addition after being on the slopes all day. We boarded Breckenridge from 9-4 then cruises over to keystone to night ride from 5-8. After shredding for nearly 12 hours, hopping in the hot tub with a cold beer was the ultimate icing on the cake. The house stayed very warm surprisingly throughout our stay! Last years rental home we had problems with people sleeping on the bottom floor keeping warm throughout the night but this house was perfect! We found ourselves hanging out almost nightly on the 1st floor playing pool and watching movies with the whole squad. It seems as if every day I discovered something new in the house! The sauna / extra fridge on the bottom floor / and the jacuzzi tub in the master! One of our favorite parts was honestly the heated floors in the kitchen. I was not aware the home was equipped with this until the 2nd or 3rd day when we were cooking dinner and someone told me to take my house slippers off. It really is the small things in life that make a difference. I would 100% rent this home again in the future. One last thing regarding the driveway! I am glad we got two 4WD vehicles to bring us up the mountain because the driveway was very snowy. Some afternoons after the slopes we found ourselves sliding up the driveway even with the 4WD equipped. I appreciate the heads up letting us know that was a necessity. 10/10 overall.
