No loud music - we have elderly neighbors; please be respectful! Nothing should be heard when outside the house.
Do not use the vacant lot to the east of our home for recreation as it has now been sold to a new owner, including the hill (ie no sledding).
Feel free to park in garage or driveway. Please do not block the shop to the right of the garage. Access may be needed via car.

This home is great for a family! You can walk to Ski Hill and snow play, or just visit the lodge for cocoa. At the house, there are enough large tables (2 upstairs, 1 downstairs) to keep the jigsaw puzzle going AND gather for other games at another table! We loved it so much last year, we booked right away for this year's Christmas trip. Lisha was super helpful and responsive!

The host was very nice and responsive when I had questions about booking. We really enjoyed our stay here. The home was well stocked, kid friendly and in a beautiful location. The small touches, like adding Christmas decor, made this trip even more magical and special. Loved waking up to a Christmas tree with snow in the background! Would highly recommend this VRBO and host.

Everything was beautiful. We woke up to wild turkeys on the lawn Saturday morning and a small herd of deer on Sunday. Leavenworth is a great town. (Would not recommend the Rhein Haus, however.)

Winter Wonderland!

Came here with family to celebrate Christmas, and had a wonderful time! There is plenty of space, and the proximity to ski hill is a bonus! We can’t wait to come back

Great views & lots of room!

We really enjoyed that the lights were on when we arrived including the c-mas tree, the house was cozy, & the hot tub amazing after sledding with toddlers at the downtown park in the snow. We made Christmas cookies, two dinners, & enjoyed the gorgeous view. The house was perfect for 4 girls under 7, & 5 adults with toys & space. Well stocked kitchen & nice to have a garage. Everyone was sad to leave.

Winter birthday

We came with our family and friends to celebrate our kiddos birthday and had an amazing time. The house is very kid friendly and perfectly located near town. We can’t wait to come back!

Great place but some major issues.

The house is large, good beds, a modern kitchen and baths and also well appointed. The view of the mountains and valley is superb. The issues were the deck cushions, which were dirty and ripped, and the bees. Two trees on the west side of the house drop seed husks on the deck, which had to be cleaned every day. The husks draw yellow jackets.

Great place to bring your family

This was a great place to stay for my relatively large family. There was plenty of room for us and things for everyone to do. The kitchen had everything we needed. I loved the view from the back porch and the close proximity to hiking trails. It's not a long drive from the Leavenworth city center. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Bucket list visit with 4 generations

Stayed in the house a plenty with our parents, our kids and grandkids, and had an amazing time! So close to all attractions in town and the kitchen was very well supplied/stocked!! The amount of rooms and space in the house was just what we needed for 9 adults and 2 children.

Great location, lots of space

Our family of 9 had a great stay. The location was great; just a few minutes from downtown Leavenworth. The A/C worked well during the 100 degree weather. The arcade game unit with 1980's games was a hit. We also appreciated that we were in walkable distance to the ski hill with lots of hiking trails in the national forest. The kitchen had lots of useful utensils and cookware. Note that the office with the futon does not have a door so someone who needs privacy may want to be in a different room. The owners were very responsive and helpful. Overall, great time!

Gorgeous Property, Great Host

Beautiful property that is close enough to walk to downtown Leavenworth (if you are a walker), but tucked away and very private. There was construction going on next door, but the way the property sits, we were never disturbed by it. The views are breathtaking, with a long deck that runs the length of the house and can be enjoyed from the master bedroom, living room and kitchen area. The house is older but has been renovated to have a very modern feel. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the linens are soft and top quality. Downstairs there is a playroom that would be perfect for smaller children. There is also an entertainment room with an old arcade game console, big screen tv, mini bar and fridge. We experienced a few tiny bumps with things like light bulb outages and appliances getting to the end of their lifespan, but Lisha was amazing to work with. Communication with Lisha was swift and clear. She was always kind, thoughtful and quick to respond. Our reservation ended up changing due to flights and reduction in travelers, which created a glitch with the VRBO system. Lisha patiently helped me work through the details to fix our reservation. Even if we didn't love the house (which we REALLY did) I would rent with her again, just because she was so incredible to work with. We would give this experience more than 5 stars if we could.

Good but quality not quite up to price point

Pros: Gorgeous views, good location, perfect size for everyone to have their own space. Cons: dated, worn and broken outdoor cushions, umbrella, terrible coffee maker. We had a kitchen drain problem that involved a fair amount of back and forth before a plumber was called. Construction right next door and on the MBR side of the house that started at 6:30A. Nothing huge, but when you’re paying this much money…

Amazing location!

We went to mountain bike the ski hill trails and this was the perfect location. The house is amazing and great for the whole family. Spectacular views from the back deck. Pack n play on-site. Kids loved the yard and riding bikes/ scooters in the private driveway. We would stay again!

Great experience with our stay

The property is wonderful. We had a large group and it met our needs well and was a wonderful environment to be in with enough room for everyone to spread out or be together. The view was incredible. It's a beautiful home and we are so glad we got to stay there. There was a glitch at check in but the host was quick to respond and take care of us. I would highly recommend staying here.

Everything is as expected

The property is huge. We all were able to fit comfortably. Everything was as expected. Lisha was very responsive and accommodative. We truly enjoyed our stay.

I'm originally from Oregon, but moved up to Seattle after graduating from UofO (Go Ducks!). I've been in Seattle ever since, with a brief one year rotation in Munich. My husband, Ryan, and I have 3 young kids who are all bursting with personality. We love the outdoors, even in the rain, and most all sports (watching and playing). I also love to read, ride my Peloton bike, and keep up on new shows and movies when I'm not trying to catch up on sleep.

We purchased our personal vacation home in Leavenworth in July 2019 - it's a special place to us as we got married up there in 2015 and love going back to make more memories.
