What a great location, made even better by the comfortable, well appointed and unique house! This is a perfect base to explore all that the region has to offer - in all directions. Cosy for a couple but great also for a larger group. If you’re looking for a relaxing holiday by the sea, you’ll love this. Highly recommended!

Family Time

My sister and two nieces stayed from Auckland. It was a wonderful break with treasured family. We only used the hot tub once as we were so busy. Highly recommend.

Amazing Place!

Great place to stay for some R&R!

We had a great time, staying three nights with our two kids (4 and 1). Great cozy house (we just stayed upstairs) and very accessible to the various tourist spots across Tasman/Golden Bay + accessible to Nelson/Richmond and Motueka. Kids loved the place and especially the container of duplo! Thanks for having us Sue!

Amazing place to stay

Fantastic beach house to stay at, so friendly and welcoming with everything you could need. We fished right off the beach in front of the house...many snapper were caught. Sue and Whitney are awesome to deal with. Hopefully we will return to Costa Ruby at Ruby Bay one day.

What a magical gem in an amazing location

This has been one of our favorite picks in the Tasman / Nelson area. The property is quirky, stylish, functional and lovely. The beach right out back is gorgeous. Nearby Māpua wharf became a regular visit for the family and we enjoyed every aspect of this place, the walking paths, the food, the shells. A little slice of heaven on earth.

Perfect holiday!

A wonderful holiday home, with some much love and details put in. Thank you for a great holiday! The view is spectacular and the house has everything you could need. Starry spas were a winner for us. We will definitely return! Absolutely brilliant!

Beautiful spot

Lovely family villa. We all stayed on the top floor no issues and used the bedrooms below to store luggage. Gorgeous spot on the beach. We cycled and went for long walks. The takeaway next door had great Thai!

Stunning Decks and Gardens!

Immaculately clean house. Our party of 6 loved the deck which wrapped the house for all day sun or sit by the outdoor gas fire at night. Loved the retro touches. Beautiful gardens. Would highly recommend, Thanks for our stay.

Perfect

We Loved our stay at Costa Ruby - such an amazing place to relax and unwind. Comfy beds, great shower, stunning views and of course the Hot Tub! Love the retro theme upstairs and all the little Knick knacks. so much thought has gone into everything. Very cool!

Fabulous and funky

A fabulous retro 2 bed house upstairs and a modern apartment downstairs. Well appointed and great extras like the kayaks and the spa pool which both got lots of use. Close to lots of fun stuff like Abel Tasman, Biking / mountain biking vineyards etc. The whole family loved our stay, and owners went the extra mile to send us back a key we left behind.

Stunning location with every detail taken care of.

The Costa Ruby was the perfect place to stay, we were not disappointed. Every detail was taken care of, making it a home away from home. Sue & Whitney were fantastic hosts, they were very organised and the communication we received from the time we booked, lead up to our arrival, the information booklet at the property and responsiveness to our texts showed we were important to them. The home was well appointed, even catering for your entertainment needs with kayaks, hot tub, games and local information. Absolutely loved the decor - it made the home feel so welcoming. Highly recommend this place, we would certainly come back and stay at this location again Thanks for having us - 5 stars from us!!

5 Star Beach House

Our 3 night stay at Ruby Bay with family at this amazing beach front property was fantastic. Massive out door balcony area extremely well equipped with sun lounges, BBQ, tables the list goes on. Kitchen had everything you needed and oven was excellent. Loved the décor, that 70's feeling took us all back. Great bedrooms and comfortable beds. View was wonderful and you are steps away from the beach. Take away next door which was handy but took full advantage of the BBQ and balcony and fantastic view. My only negative for this property was there was a little too much chlorine in the spa, but apart from that would highly recommend and would not hesitate staying again. Central location to explore the Tasman Region which is a magical part of NZ. Thank you Sue, your property from the front gate to the beach is 5 Star

After holidaying in the region for the past 20 years, it was time to have our own place to call our own. Drawn to the warm climate, friendly locals and being so close to the water, it was an easy decision to make.
