Séjour Laglio!

Appartement très agréable et très propre avec belle vue sue le lac. Absence d’ampoules dans toutes les lampes( soucis d’economie!), wifi très faible,BBQ sale. Procédure d’arrivée à revoir. Nous avons mis 1h à trouver l’appartement car les renseignements fournis étaient inadéquates ,nous faisant garer ds un parking à l’autre bout de l’appartement. Heureusement que l’hôtelier proche de ce parking a pu nous guider( visiblement habitué à ce problème)…..Alors qu’avec un numéro de rue et un restaurant tout proche,c’etait tout simple!!!!!!

Prachtige woning op een prachtige plek. Mooi uitzicht vanaf het balkon ovef heg Comomeer. De woning was van alles voorzien. Mooi privé zwembad, deze had wel vaker schoongemaakt moeten/kunnen worden , mooi zitje. Nadeel is de trap naar boven als je een lichamelijke handicap hebt. Mooie plek en een hele mooie omgeving

A superior property , close to the Lake with wonderful views - perfect for two couples

A superior property with regards to the living area, balcony and small private outdoor grass area. Wonderful lake views and also close to the pool with a view of this as well. Kitchen has all you need but on the smallish size. The bedroom with the two single beds has double French doors making it nice and light. The king bed room has an en suite but just a single French door and therefore a bit darker with a more limited view. However, you spend much of your time on the balcony or in the living area with the great views. The balcony faces east. There are 62 steps from the lakefront road to the entrance of the property so quite a climb with heavy luggage but so worth it. A garage is available but as we were slightly off season public parks were always available at the bottom of the steps. The hosts were so helpful with arranging a taxi to attend a crucial event. The ferry does not stop here so to have a car is best as the C10 bus is a bit unreliable. We would stay here again without a second thought.

Lovely Laglio!

We enjoyed our stay immensely here in Laglio. The home was just as advertised online with a stunning lake view and garden to take in that view! Thanks to Gemma who met us on arrival and gave us lots of useful local tips on where to eat and drink. Laglio is very relaxing as a location with just a handful or restaurants and bars, with a great local feel to the place. Just what the doctor ordered. We will be back!

Tolle Lage, in der Ausstattung der Wohnung einige enttäuschende Details: Balkonbeleuchtung funktioniert nicht, Sonnenschirm hält nicht, Sofa fällt fast auseinander, viele angeschlagene Teller, dicke Rostflecken in der Dusche etc . Dafür ist der Preis dann zu hoch!

The views are amazing, the property was clean and well equipped, the pool is lovely.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.The property is fine but there were just a few things that needed checking. There was nothing major and it certainly didn't spoil our stay and we would return. Laglio is a quiet,pretty village but it is worth noting that eating out at a reasonable cost without getting in the car is challenging. However, the Pizzeria just up on the top road looks quite ordinary but the food and hospitality are excellent. The nearest supermarket, Bennet, that we found, is just in Como and has a wonderful selection of food and drink. The little grocer in Laglio is small but has most things and there is a fruit and vegetable stall in the small car park at the bottom of the apartment steps on a Tuesday morning which is also good. We didn't find the steps to be a particular issue although were glad to reach the top with our suitcases! However, for some people they could be a problem.The swimming pool is lovely and we were lucky enough to have it to ourselves nearly all of the time. The difficulty, if you can call it that, is actually leaving the wonderful view. the pool, and the feeling of peace and making the effort to go out. The nearest lake boats are in Argegno about fifteen minutes drive away and it is certainly worth using them to visit Bellagio and other lakeside villages. The cable car in Argegno is really worth the effort. A week was hardly long enough and we would love to return.

Thank you so much Julie and Barrie the property agents for making this such an enjoyable holiday. Matthew and his parents had stayed here twice before, this was my first visit with them, it was everything they described and more. Great property, very well designed and fitted out, with exceptional views. Laglio is perfect and a great base to explore from or just relax as we did many days. Wonderful stay!

Enjoyed our break here in Laglio, which was the ideal location to recharge our batteries. Laglio is a quiet village with some idyllic scenery and friendly locals, perfect if you really do not want to do much (there are busier villages for sightseeing we found close by such as Argegno which offered a local atmosphere and Cernobbio, an upmarket feel) The home was beautifully presented and clean on arrival. Julie met us close to the home and ensured we were settled in and had all we needed for our stay (she even organised a welcome pack on arrival which was very well received, thank you) The steps took 2 minutes to walk but as Julie said on arrival it will be worth it when she see the view from living room. It was!

Treasured memories of Lake Como.

We stayed here as part of a 3 centre holiday and fell in love with the home and laglio. We are used to staying in high quality homes throughout the world for special celebrations and this one is up there with the very best of them. Kitted out to a high standard, every home comfort has been catered for here. The walk to the home whilst steep only took 2 minutes from the parking although anyone who is unfit or elderly may take a little longer to reach the apartment. When you do the view is majestic and worth every step! We enjoyed afternoons lazing in the private garden or taking a dip in the pool. Laglio is the picture perfect lakeside village with a couple of nice restaurants, wine bar and a couple of shops so we really felt like a local staying here away with the tourist masses. The ferry in Argegno is a 10 minute drive so we think a car is essential here. A large supermarket is also located 10 minutes drive as a more touristy villages to explore. But we liked nothing more than returning to the home, enjoying the sun go down with a glass of wine. Bliss! A special mention to Julie for all her help on arrival. I would recommend this home to any one looking for a relaxing and quiet lake experience and would return to this home in a heartbeat.

Wonderful relaxing break

Stayed here in Laglio last month and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The home was immaculate with views to die for. The location is relaxing, and serene just as we hoped and Laglio picture postcard pretty away from the tourist masses. A big thank you to Julie, who met us on arrival, could not have been any more charming or helpful, full of local knowledge which helped make us feel right at home straight away and ensured we found our feet knowing where to visit, to dine and the best local tips. Overall a holiday to treasure. I would definitely book with this company in the future and can recommend their services 100%

Lakeside delight!

Just back from a 2 centre stay on the lake. This home really was hard to top with spellbinding lake views from the balcony and living room and just as the photos suggested has been furnished to exacting standards throughout. We are perennial holiday home dwellers and this one was up there with the very best. We loved walking the lanes and streets of Laglio meandering around the lakeside hills and so forth. The village is very tranquil and with just a couple of local bars and restaurants with a couple of mini markets so a car is definitely recommended to venture further afield where lots more restaurants can be found however we loved the slow pace of life here, the private garden to relax in and watch the boats bob about on the water in front of the home. Parking was easy as the home has its own garage but we tended to park beneath the apartment and take the steps to the property so never needed to use it. Thank you to Julie for all your help and co ordination throughout the stay. We will definitely return and have recommnended this home to friends for next summer.

Luxury apartment, 5 star service!

We had a wonderful stay here in Laglio. I have to say the home was every bit as good as photographed which is always a relief when you take a leap of faith and book a foreign holiday home. The property has been furnished to a high standard, the view is spectacular and the village was very tranquil with just a couple of superb restaurants and bars to walk to, so nice and quiet just as we like it. The steps are many as the advert mentions but the view make it worthwhile and only takes a couple of minutes to reach the home from the car parking space below. We spent many a lazy day in our garden or taking a dip in the pool. A special mention for the cheery Welsh lady Julie who gave us such a warm welcome on arrival. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she gave us valuable tips and recommendations for the best places to eat, shop and visit..in that order!! We didnt bump into Mr Clooney, my wife is sorry to say, who lives close by but there is always next time!

Lovely apartment and view. Beare agent and extras

Lovely apartment, lovely view - but beware the agent, the extras and the steps We stayed in this apartment last week Our Easyjet flight on Sunday was delayed (surprise.) And we called the agent rep to be told we would be charged for a late arrival. On Monday morning we reported to the rep that the freezer door would not fully shut. We propped it shut as best we could with a dining chair. Daily chases led to the response "nothing happens quickly in Italy". Eventually on Friday we used a table knife as a screwdriver and released the outer door so the blockage could be removed. It could have been a quick fix for the agent's handyman but nobody checked. End of stay cleaning charge us significant. At the end of the stay we had a food stain on a cushion if the sofa. The rep withheld alarmed amount for dry cleaning of two cushion covers.... Finally, please be aware that there are 63 cobbled steps fro the parking level to the fate if the property, followed by 21 more more to the apartment level. You, your luggage and your shopping will need to go up (and down) these. Not for the unfit! Steps are a necessary evil to have such an excellent view, but we would recommend to the owners that they should take a close look at the agent they use.

Everything we had hoped it would be

The apartment was everything we had hoped it would be...and more. With the hot weather, the air-con and shutters were a blessing and the pool was great for cooling off as well! It was lovely to have our own private garden and we made use of the BBQ too. Never tired of the amazing views over the lake either. We plan to return to the Lakes and would be more than happy to stay in the same apartment again!

Entspannter Urlaub mit toller Aussicht

Wir waren bereits dreimal in dieser Wohnung und haben den Aufenthalt in Laglio immer sehr genossen. Wir sind immer in der ersten Septemberwochen dort gewesen. Das Wetter war dann ganz nach unserem Geschmack: 20-25 Grad und selten bis kaum ein verregneter Tag. Zur Wohnung gelangt man über die Via Nerba, welche keine Strasse im eigentlichen Sinne ist, sondern eine Treppe, die die alte mit der neuen Uferstrasse verbindet. Bis zu dieser Wohnung sind es ca. 70 (flache) Stufen – für die Fitness ist also gesorgt. Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll und mit hochwertigen Einrichtungsgegenständen ausgestattet. Die Fotos im Internet entsprechen der aktuellen Einrichtung. Zu der Wohnung gehört eine überdachte Terrasse (auf der sich alle Mahlzeiten - vom Frühstück bis zum Abendessen- mit grandiosem Ausblick auf den See geniessen lassen) und ein eigener kleiner Garten. Das Masterschlafzimmer hat ein Bad en suite. Für das Kinderzimmer mit zwei getrennten Betten gibt es ein gesondertes Bad. Das Wohnzimmer verfügt über eine bequeme Couch (die auch als weitere Schlafgelegenheit genutzt werden kann), einen großer Fernseher, iPod-Dockingstation, kostenloses W-LAN, Blueray-Player, etc. In der Küche findet man neben ausreichend Geschirr auch genug Töpfe und Küchengeräte (Spülmaschine, Mikrowelle, Backofen, große Kühl-/Gefrierkombination, Nespressoautomat, kleiner Küchengrill und Wasserkocher). Eine Waschmaschine, Bügeleisen und -brett sind ebenfalls vorhanden. Der obligatorische Haarföhn fehlt natürlich auch nicht. Im Garten zu dieser Wohnung findet sich zudem ein eigener großer Gasgrill. Die Terrasse und der Garten sind mit verschiedenen sehr bequemen Gartenmöbeln ausgestattet. Neben Liegen und Sonnenschirm findet man dort auch eine sehr bequeme Sitzgruppe und einen Esstisch mit Stühlen. Ein Pool zur gemeinsamen Nutzung ist direkt auf dem Grundstück. Die Außenanlagen sind sehr gepflegt. Im Vergleich zu anderen Ferienwohnungen vermisst man hier keinen Komfort. Zu der Wohnung ist uns immer auch ein Tiefgaragenplatz in der Nähe (ca. 300m) zur Verfügung gestellt worden. In Laglio gibt es Einkaufsmöglichkeiten für den Grundbedarf. Ca. 15 Autominuten entfernt ist ein großes Einkaufszentrum (Bennet in Cernobbio) in dem man alles Notwendige an sieben Tagen in der Woche kaufen kann. Unsere Ansprechpartnerin vor Ort war Julie Webb. Die Kommunikation erfolgte in Englisch. Julie ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und unkompliziert. Der ideale Ort um einen entspannten Urlaub zu vebringen.

By staying here with us we can recommend where to eat with the locals, hire a boat at the most competitive cost, show you the hidden places with the locals shop from finding the freshest baked bread to the best markets to the trattoria's where the Italian's dine away from the tourists or the very best bar's where the tastiest snacks keep coming with the drink's! If you need to hire a scooter or cycle, find the best hiking routes, or pathways around the lake for scenic walks we will point you in the right direction.

Quality fixtures and fittings inside and out. The home benefits from air conditioning and secure parking. Laglio is a gem of a village. There is a real local feel to the place. Meandering cobbled paths, a local bar just a few minutes walk from the home serving excellent wine, snacks with superb local produce as we'll as delicious ice-cream. There are also two authentic restaurants located within walking distance from the home as well as a mini market for convenience of shopping. The home and village boast majestic views, lazy walks along the lakeside and a relaxing atmosphere reminiscent of bygone days. Just 10 minutes by car will take you to busier villages, the ferry to access the whole lake and boutique shopping.
