Charming rural cottage but with easy access to lots of amenities.

We had an amazing week in Lozay, the cottage is well equipped and has loads of character. We especially loved the little walled courtyard eating area. At night it lit up like a secret garden. Just gorgeous!!!!! I would definitely recommend the region, Saint Jean is a charming market town with a lovely local market on a Wednesday and Saturday morning. We also visited La Rochelle and Fouras. There was also a beautiful heated pool with surrounding garden to chill out in. Just lovely with a glass of wine .

Rural peace and quiet...

We had a wonderful week. Communication beforehand was great and nothing was too much trouble. If youre looking for bright lights and busyness this is not it - though its only a car journey away. The pool about a minute's walk down the path was beautiful. The cottage was clean and contained everything we needed. Would return.

Not as advertised on your Web site property is below what is being advertised and not as described

Easy to rent would not recommend to others and found it misleading from the owners description of facilities.

I was very surprised to hear that you thought my description of the cottage was misleading, we have never had this feedback before. With regards to the access directions, I can only apologise that you found this confusing.. I take your feedback on board, I very much welcome any ideas of ways to improve our guests experiences .

I’m very sorry that you didn’t enjoy your holiday and that the property did not meet your expectations. I do, however, feel that the gîte is clearly and accurately advertised, with detailed descriptions and photographs showing the property and its facilities. The location of the swimming pool is also clearly explained, and I provided a video showing the property, everything it has to offer, and even a guide showing the route along the private road, which is part of the complex, down to the pool. I would also like to address the comments regarding cleanliness. I do dispute that the house was not clean, as we take cleanliness very seriously and have not received any previous complaints regarding this. I am nevertheless sorry if you felt that the property did not meet your personal standards. We always want our guests to have an enjoyable and comfortable stay, and I’m sorry that on this occasion you were disappointed.

Thank you so much for your lovely review! We’re thrilled to hear that you had such a lovely time and loved the cottage as much as we do. Unfortunately, sometimes things happen that are beyond our control, such as the electrical issue during your stay. However, we were confident that it would be resolved and acted as quickly as possible to get everything sorted. Once again, thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. You’re very welcome back anytime, and we’d love to host you again!

Zeer rustige cottage

Thank you Philippe for your review. We have taken on board your comments about the TV and have had an aerial put into the cottage so there is now access to French channels. It was so lovely to meet you and your family.x

Hi my name is Jo,

Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or queries. I've spent many a summer holiday in the area so know all the best places to visit.

My parents bought the cottage back in 1994, and our childhood holidays in France were nothing short of magical. We all fell head over heels for the Saint Jean area – it's like a serene little bubble where time slows down, perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

But don't let the peace and quiet fool you! The location is a gateway to adventure with places like La Rochelle, Cognac, Saint , Fouras, La Grande Cote, Royan, Chatelaillon- Plage and Ill de Re an hours drive away.

So, when you’re ready to swap your sun lounger for some exploration, there are plenty of exciting spots waiting to be discovered. Adventure and relaxation, all in one place!
