Our family had a truly fantastic week-long vacation at the Sunset Lake cottage.
The cabin is cozy, comfortable and well stocked. The porch with a net is a great place to sit back, read, drink morning coffee and hide from the rain while still enjoying the fresh air. The outside shower is kind of cool:)
The host, Kevin was very helpful and always available via phone to answear our enquires.
It was our first trip to New Hampshire and we'd planned to see as many tourist attractions as possible;however, we ended up spending most of our time at the Sunset Lake: sunbathing, swimming in clear water and barbecuing. The location is great: secluded, away from it all... you can really relax and forget about the rest of the world there:)
If you want to go sightseeing the major attractions are within 45min-1.50h driving distance. We recommend visiting Castle in the Clouds, tubing on Saco River and My. Washington cog railway. If you have younger children it is worth taking a trip up north to Santa's Village, but arrive early as there is lots to do there and you can easily spend there an entire day.
We mostly prepared our own food on the grill, but for a dining out experience we recommend The New Woodshed in Moultonborough (very nice ambiance).
To sum things up, what we enjoyed the most about Kevin's cabin was the beautiful location, the fact that all the major attractions are within driving distance and that we could bring our dog along.
We don't have any complains, our vacation was all and more what we were hoping for and we will definitely be back in the future! Thank you Kevin for having us:)
