So pleased that yo had a good stay. It is a quiet area with just a baker and vegetable shop in walking distance. Bike hire is available which is great as it brings the canal paths and local villages with bars and restaurants within 10 or 16 minutes cycling.

We stayed a Le Parc for two weeks in August, and loved the large garden, pool and its outside lounge area, and the long dining table to enjoy the summer days and nights. The house has everything one can need and is charming throughout. We loved walking to the boulangerie on the corner each morning and there were many a local fete to enjoy also. There is a lot to see and do in the area, and it's just a 15-minute drive to Narbonne.

Superb

Everything was exactly as advertised. A beautiful house in a fantastic area. The village itself is very quiet, but there are lots of places to visit within a very short drive. The owner was extremely helpful and the property manager Jess has been incredibly generous with her time.We very much hope to return in the near future.

We were two families – 5 adults and 6 teenagers – who stayed in this wonderful house for 14 days, and we had an absolutely fantastic time. The house was amazing and had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to cook meals for our large group. The pool was simply magical and became the heart of our holiday. There was plenty to do, whether it was playing pétanque, table tennis, or simply relaxing by the pool. The location was perfect. Everything was within walking distance, including a bakery, grocery stores, and several restaurants. We were also lucky enough to experience the local village festival during our stay, which made our vacation even more memorable.Communication with our host was excellent. She always responded within just a few minutes, was very helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay.We truly loved our time here and would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. We would happily come back again!

Wonderful House

We had a wonderful stay at this amazing house. The large grounds with boules court and table tennis table and a big pool provided plenty of entertainment for adults and children. The amenities in the house were more than adequate. Communications with the property manager and owner were very easy and helpful with quick responses to our queries. Some of the outdoor spaces could use some TLC. Overall a great place to stay. Thanks to Jess and Tim for helping us when our flight home was cancelled. Best regards David.

Cool characterful house

Beautiful old house - perhaps better for older children than wee ones(?) we had 3 teenagers and it was ideal. House and pool very clean and well equipped. We had helpful comms from the owner and Local contact, Jess, was fab - couldn’t have been more helpful or welcoming - and so patient and kind when I thought I’d left passports on departure. Fantastic location. Great local baker and fruit shop. Handy For lots of interesting day trips. Would highly recommend and would love to go back!!

Perfect home away from home

We stayed 2 weeks at Le Parc at the beginning of July and where a group of friends composed of 6 adults and two 2 children. The house, the pool and the garden are all just beautiful and very spacious, allowing everyone to have their own space and intimacy when needed. The decorating is elegant French style with antique objects and furniture that gives a very personal touch and atmosphere that makes you feel immediately at home. We are all foodies, so the kitchen was “THE” plus for us as it is perfectly equipped with absolutely everything you need, up to the slightest detail. Tim, Miles and Jess where just great, very attentive and reactive. The location is also perfect, 20 minutes from the beach and a lot of great restaurants and places to discover nearby. We even found an organic farmer for our fruits and vegetables, and you have a large Intermarché market 5 minutes from the house. Al in all, we had a wonderful vacation. We were sad to leave and could of easily spent another week and are already thinking of going back next summer!

Lovely home in a beautiful location

Lovely home . Great location close to lots of amenities. Pool great although for the first few days was very cold . Miles the caretaker of the property was very obliging and came ASAP and fixed it for us . There is an issue with the pool cover at the minute and it doesn’t work so the heat evaporated overnight leaving the pool at 25 degrees which is icy cold . Once he sorted it out it was lovely . The house itself has is very comfortable. The beds and bed linen gorgeous. It did however get very warm at night . Even with a fan or two blasting . Air conditioning would be a great addition. Most nights it was 28/29 degrees and whilst downstairs stayed relatively cool upstairs was at times unbearable . However we did enjoy our week at Le parc . X

Louise, we are so glad that you enjoyed your stay at Le Parc. We take great pride in the property and receive many compliments from our guests. I am sorry that the pool cover switch was malfunctioning. We were awaiting the replacement part which has now been fitted. The pool temperature was set at 28 degrees C and did cool down slightly overnight but as the day time temperature was 33 degrees in the shade I think it was the contrast that made it seem cold. We did increase the temperature for the heater up to 29 degrees which is really too warm as bacteria, algae and other organisms thrive under warm water conditions. 28 degrees is the recommended setting. As you were in the middle of a heatwave it was very important to follow the house advice on keeping all upstairs shutters closed during the heat of the day and then opening everything up during the evenings. We normally visit in August which is the hottest month and find that we can control the temperatures this way. The house has large airy rooms and very thick walls and is designed to cope with the weather. Once again, we are all pleased that you enjoyed your stay and appreciated the finer touches such as the quality linen.

The best way to explore the South of France

We stayed 8 nights at Le Parc with our 6 family members and enjoyed the house very much and all its facilities which has all what you could need. We were received with a nice cold bottle of wine in the fridge, some cookies, flowers and others. The house is decorated in its French style with old furniture everything very clean an according to the French house style. I would really recommend Le Parc as a excellent base to explore the many fantastic and historical places around the South of France.

A wonderful relaxing week

We had a wonderful relaxing week at your beautiful house. The pool and gardens were amazing and the house provided enough space for everyone to get away from each other if needed. Thank you for the wine and welcome basket that was a lovely touch! Also being supplied with pool towels - we've never had that before. We visited many places including the atmospheric Carcassonne, the lake at Homps, the beautiful city of Narbonne and the local beaches. Fantastic - can't wait to come back

Easily the best property we have stayed in.

The house is furnished in traditional French style, but not so much that it makes you feel uncomfortable. The stairgate at the top of the curved staircase was such a thoughtful addition, as were many other things to make the house child friendly. Kitchen very well stocked and as a bonus, a drinks fridge as well as the American fridge/freezer! The children’s favourite was the collection of blow-up and beach toys. The pool and garden are superb. A wonderful house for any family. Nice village, shops within walking distance and a very helpful maintenance man

Having started in Provence and finding it too touristy we moved to the next department of Languedoc which has all the charm but is still very French. The area is dominated by the Canal du Midi and the vast vineyards. It is less crowded than its neighbour and eating out is a pleasure both in terms of quality and price. Menus are also incredibly varied.
It is a fantastic are to tour with less traffic but many interesting places from the world famous Carcassonne to a fabulous local artists village of Someil nestling on the banks of the Midi.
Beaches are just 20 minutes drive away.

Whilst the property is on the edge of the village and just 5 minutes walk to the local bakery it is totally private as the aspect is over vineyards towards the river Aude.
The grounds of around 1 hectare are totally secure with many large trees offering shade and a lovely heated pool positioned in a secluded area close to the house and surrounded by lavender and an ancient olive tree.
Supermarkets are within a few minutes drive and you can walk or cycle from the property to many local beauty spots and even take a dip in the mountain fed river Cesse.
