Casa Amarillo is a self catering, holiday duplex (two storey) apartment on the second and third floors of a detached villa with stunning views out over the Bay of Kotor to the Adriatic Sea. Situated beneath the sunny slopes of Mt Orjen it is approx 10 minutes by car to Topla, Igalo, and the citadel town of Herceg Novi with shops, banks, a marina, and many, many restaurants with both local and international cuisines. Beaches, and all water sports are available along the 7Km promenade Danica.

The apartment has been refreshed and looking great for the holiday rental market for summer 2022. There is private parking for two cars, or three depending on size. A private garden for alfresco dining with built in BBQ and open views to the Adriatic Sea. The garden is fenced and safe for children.

The apartment is approximately 20 minutes from the Croatia/Montenegro border crossings (however in summer months this can take longer because of the volume of traffic) so arriving at Dubrovnik airport is very easy with flights from the UK and European cities arriving daily. There is also an airport at Tivat. A car is really necessary for guests to get back and forth to the beaches and towns of Herceg Novi, Igalo and Topla. Although it is only 10 minutes by car it would be an uphill walk to the apartment, which guests may find too much in the heat of the summer. Both the private parking and garden to the apartment are to the back and side of the villa.
The nearest supermarket and shops are in the village of Topla which is less than a km downhill. Strongly suggest to all guests to have a car.

Places of interest around and about include the walled towns of Herceg Novi, Perast (20km) and Kotor (1 hour) as well as beaches and the mountains Orjen & Lovcen are both over 5,000ft. Lake Skadar is a paradise for bird watchers. The renowned Igalo Spa and Health Centre which is only 5 minutes or so by car from Casa Amarillo is the largest and best-known institution for multidisciplinary and European Spa treatment in the Mediterranean. The Spa specialises in preventative and physical medicine, rehabilitation, wellness, fitness & sport, massage, facials, hydrotherapy, thermal waters, and mud applications. The coastal resorts of Topla and Igalo are lined with restaurants and shops and are adjoined to Herceg Novi along the 7km promenade, Pet Danica. There is also a very lovely Marina where boat trips can be arranged and all water sports catered for.

Das Objekt wurde uns sauber übergeben und ist sehr schön - der Blick auf das Meer ist, wie auf den Bildern ersichtlich, hervorragend. Der Weg zum lokalen Strand ist fußläufig in 15 Minuten machbar - bergab. Der Weg zurück veranschlagt circa die doppelte Zeit, da er relativ steil ist. Empfehlenswert ist hier ein Taxi (weiße Taxis): mit Taxi More oder Maestro kostet es EUR 4,-.Die Kommunikation war sehr gut: sowohl wenn wir etwas benötigt haben, als auch bei der Registrierung im Tourismus-Büro, war sie für uns da.Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert!

Die Wohnung ist schön groß. Die Zimmeraufteilung war ideal für uns zwei Familien. In der Küche war bis auf eine Kaffeemaschine alles da. Hat uns nicht gestört, da wir eine eigene kleine Kaffeemaschine mit dabei hatten.Die Kommunikation vorab und auch vor Ort war sehr freundlich. Auf Nachfragen wurde sofort reagiert. Lieben Dank an Branka. ;)Der Ausblick war super schön. Allerdings ist der Weg nach oben auf den Berg etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Aber nach 2 Tagen haben wir uns daran gewöhnt. Ohne Auto ist der Weg zur Wohnung allerdings nicht zu empfehlen. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. :)

Sauber, schöner Blick und guter Preis

Es ist eine schöne große Ferienwohnung mit einem sehr schönes Blick aufs Meer. Wohnung ist sauber und geräumig, perfekt für eine große Familie oder Gruppe mit bis zu 8 Personen. Lage sehr weit oben auf einem Hang, man muss man unbedingt ein Auto oder Taxi nutzen. Ausstattung ist in Ordnung, leider nur im Garten mangelhaft. Verbrauchsmaterialien müssen selbst gekauft werden. Kontakt sowie Check-in und Check-Out waren unkompliziert und nett. Preis-Leistung sehr gut!

Gute Wohnung

Unser Aufenthalt war gut. Leider funktioniert die Kanalisation nicht ganz. Es hat zwischenzeitlich im oberen Bad nach Abfluss gerochen. Das passiert wohl, lt Auskunft der Vermieterin, schon mal. Nachdem wir aber die Badematte über den Abfluss im Boden gelegt haben, ging es so einigermaßen. Die Wohnung war sehr groß, genau wie im Inserat beschrieben, relativ gut bestückt mit Küchenutensilien. Hatte eine Spülmaschine, Waschmaschine und Trockner.

Séjour très agréable

Appartement très très confortable, moderne, lumineux, très propre, 3 chambres ont 1 balcon. Bien équipé. La vue est panoramique et fantastique. Photos conformes. Accueil efficace . Situé sur les hauteurs, il nécessite une voiture (trajet à pied peu envisageable).

Amazing Views and luxury apartment!

We loved the amazing Views from the balconies and the extremely clean villa. Parking was also a plus. A car is a huge help for the location. Beds were super comfortable. The area is quiet in the evenings. Check out The Amber Restaurant, Georgian food.

Traumhafte Aussicht auf die Bucht und die Stadt.

Das Haus an einer Hanglage ist am besten zu erreichen mit einem Allradantrieb, da die Zufahrtstraße sehr steil ist. Dafür ist die Aussicht auf die Bucht und Stadt traumhaft. Schöne, große, helle Wohnung wie auf den Bildern war sauber, die Küche in Ordnung nur der Wasserboiler hatte die Sicherung ausgelöst. Duschkabinen Tür war kaputt. Permanenter Abwassergeruch hatte uns ab dem zweiten Tag begleitet. Vorsicht bei einer Schlafzimmerlampe, das Kabel ist abisoliert. Insgesamt hat uns die Wohnung sehr gefallen, überall war eine Sitzgelegenheit zum Genießen da. Die Kommunikation und Kontakt vor Ort war sehr angenehm und nett.

Es ist eine schöne große Ferienwohnung mit einem traumhaften Blick.Wohnung ist sauber und gross, perfekt für eine große Familie oder Gruppe. Der Anstieg zu Fuss bis zur Wohnung ist nicht einfach. Muss man unbedingt eine Auto haben. Schade ! Besonders bedauerlich ist, das nicht alle Zimmer über eine Klimaanlage verfügen. Bei die Hitze mit 38 Grad waren die Nächte viel zu heiss zum Schlafen. Kontakt sowie Check-in und Check-Out waren unkompliziert.

Very nice 👍

The apartment is very nice, clean and fully furnished (the paintings on the walls of the living room are wonderful), spread over 2 floors with 2 large terraces and with a splendid view. It features 4 bedrooms, 2 complete bathrooms, one with a bathtub and one with a shower and an additional bathroom with sink, toilet and washing machine. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a dishwasher. The only thing to know, but which absolutely does not change the excellent review, is that you need to have a car to get there and for this it is obviously equipped with a large parking lot for 2/3 cars. From the welcome to check-in, with very welcome gifts up to departure, the stay was very pleasant. Thanks to the owners who have made their apartment available to us.

Ein tolles Apartment auf 2 Etagen

Es war sauber und mit einem atemberaubendem Ausblick aufs Meer. Direkte Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Parksituation allerdings schwierig), Ambulance, Polizei und zur Promenade. Ein unkomblizierter Kontakt, sowie Check-in und Check-Out. Montenegro hat eine tolle Landschaft.

Breathtaking views and the perfect area for exploring the bay

We loved our 3 week stay in this beautiful spot up on the hill overlooking the bay. Every room had gorgeous views. The home is modern with all amenities and very well appointed. We did have to bring our own spices and such but that was to be expected. The hill could be an issue for people without a car but we had our car and had a great spot to park at the house. Plenty of markets and restaurants close by too and my son even had the chance to take sailing lessons at the local marina - only 100 euro for 10 lessons! We took the boat tour to see the Blue Cave and surrounding sights. We also easily drove around the bay to explore the other towns and to visit Kotor. The roads up to the adventure park and the serpentine road were very narrow and had many switchbacks but they were worth the views and trails at the top. This whole area has such a laid back, beach vibe - we loved it and we loved the people here as well. So friendly and helpful. Thank you Elizabeth - we hope to be back again one day.

Spacious but filthy

The villa is located in Topla 3...very high up, not easily walkable for town, especially in summer temperatures. The rooms are spacious. The is no air-conditioning in any reception rooms, only two top floor bedrooms. The villa was filthy upon arrival; we requested the cleaners come back, much of the grim and dirt had been there for months/years...the kitchen dishwasher had not been cleaned for years! There were no plug convertors for our bedside lights, so we couldn't use them. There was not one hairdryer in the villa for 8 people, no iron but a board. Only one of the three showers was functioning...far from satisfactory for a rental for 8 people. Much work needs to be done to get this villa ready for rental for 2022...I would not recommend it as it is presently. We also experienced much noise from the neighbouring rental, Anvira apartments, which whilst out of the control of Villa Casa Amarillo's owners, but it impact on our holiday and on the lives of the local neighbours.

More than expected

Just got back from our trip to Montenegro. Although the general feeling about MNE is not that good and far from my expectations, Casa Amarillo was way better than expected, way better than in pictures. Everything was new and shiny, the view is great, the kitchen was fully equiped and the yard more than ok for a barbecue and a nice dinner. The only bad thing is the access road, which is a steep hill and can be difficult for an unexperienced driver. We didn't have any problem in making this climb 1-2 times a day with an Opel Astra but I recommend a small diesel car or an SUV. I would recommend the apartment to anyone, anytime, but Montenegro and its inhabitants need improvements regarding the way they treat tourists and the services in general. Thank you for everything Mrs McCuscker and Montenegro Living.
