Great experience

Loved our one-night stay. Our hostess was very kind and accommodating. Her granddaughter helped with translating, helped us with parking, and offered to carry our suitcases up and down the stairs. There are a lot of steps, but that is just Dubrovnik.

Great Experience

Very nice, clean, and cozy apartment for our 4 day stay in Dubrovnik. Unbelievable view of the old town. Very comfortable bed, cold AC and well equipped kitchen. Marinko was a very responsive host and assisted us with transfers. His mother was a very sweet lady who made us feel welcome during check-in. The only downside to this apartment is the number of steps to get up to it from the old town. Dubrovnik is set on a steep hill and this apartment does not escape that. Overall a great experience.

Great Dubrovnik view!

Marenko and his family were nothing but helpful and hospitable, with everything from a driven escort to find the property, to beer and snacks when we arrived, to laundry. We were offered a parking spot for a nominal fee, which was very helpful given narrow streets and limited street parking. The apartment is in a charming neighborhood and the view was incredible— it added so much to our experience of Dubrovnik. The bed was very comfortable to boot.

This is a comfortable apartment with a fantastic view. Good bed. We had outstanding service from the family, including arranging transfers and tours. It was a little more of a climb from the old town than I had realized.

Special Holiday

Booked on recommendation and far surpassed our expectation. Owner (Marinko) so helpful and welcoming as were the rest of his family especially his mother. It was our 37th anniversary and my wife's 60th birthday whilst in Dubrovnik and before and during our stay he helped me plan/book surprises for my wife. He picked us up and dropped us off at the airport as well as booking our trip to Montenegro. Apartment spotless and well equipped. View from the balcony into the Old City is stunning and there's so much activity in the harbour that you can just sit there and chill with a glass or two. As previous reviews have stated there are a number of steps to negotiate but Marinko can provide an easier route. We certainly felt fitter after the holiday. City walls and cable car are MUSTS but either early or after 1600 when the crowds from the cruise ships are not around. Homeland Museum well worth a visit to appreciate the damage caused by the siege and how well the city has recovered. I can remember seeing the news footage when it happened! Would recommend for location, facilities and first class customer service.

Perfect

We were collected from the airport by Marinko's brother, who took us directly to the apartment and was full of information about the area and its recent history. The apartment was perfect for our requirements, a well appointed kitchen was a bonus for the preparation of food that we bought at a nearby supermarket. The beer provided on our arrival was especially welcome. There is a small balcony set out with a table and two chairs. The balcony may be small, but the view from it was sumptuous, looking down straight into the old city. We found the people of Dubrovnik very friendly and welcoming. We would not hesitate to recommend this apartment and the city to anyone.

Nice Studio Apartment with Great Views

This is a very clean and comfortable studio apartment with a fantastic view of Dubrovnik and much of the picturesque Ploce area. Just about everything a traveller needs is provided except perhaps a washing machine. It's located on the hills in the Ploce area, just north east of the old town and about 10 to 15 minutes away on foot. On the way there, you'll pass the down hill end of the cable car entrance. The climb, especially the stairs, provides a good workout. The owner, Marinko, is a great guy - very accommodating and helpful. His mum also seems like a very nice lady. If I have a complaint, its not a major one - the shower stall is very small. It's not possible to have a shower without bumping into the walls and door - and I'm not a big guy. Overall, I was very satisfied with my four-night stay here and would certainly recommend it to others.

Great view

We had a great stay in studio Petra in the same house, fabulous views of the old town & harbour from the balcony, & an easy 10 minute walk down to the old town, but a bit of a climb back up- be warned! However the view makes up for this & it's quietly situated away from the main road, so no traffic noise. The bed is king size & comfy, small supemarket & bakery are just a couple of minutes walk away. Marinko is very helpful when booking, & his family are so friendly, nothing is too much trouble, but they are not intrusive, lovely, kind people. I've not given 5 stars as the apartment isn't luxury, but it has everything you need. Marinko's mum showed us apartment Ivana, which is very nice indeed (probably 5 stars!) but we were very happy with 'Petra', breakfast on the balcony with that amazing view, & sat enjoying a beer in the evening watching the little boats going in & out of the harbour. We asked Marinko to arrange transfers from the airport for us, his brother picked us up on time, carried our bag up the steps to the apartment, gave us all the info we needed, maps etc, & of course, the now legendary, refreshing jug of his mums home made orange & a beer. A great place to stay, as long as you don't mind the climb back up from town. We hope to return.

Wonderful appointment

Property was clean and well maintained with a fantastic view of Dubrovnik. Family who owned property were welcoming and very helpful including picking us up and transporting us back to the airport. Would definitely recommend this apartment.
