Great family holiday villa

Lovely, spacious villa. Pool is a really good size, it needed a clean on arrival, but this was very quickly rectified and was cleaned regularly throughout the visit. Single track road up to the villa is a bit steep and winding in places, but totally worth it for the view. Pelekas has some lovely restaurants and bars. Recommend walking up to Kaisers Throne for amazing views across Corfu.

Stay at Villa Daphne

Very enjoyable stay, villa was clean and tidy with all services provided. The only issue was the AC in one bedroom was faulty and didn’t work as it constantly leaked significant amounts water down the wall and didn’t cool the room.

Beautiful outlook, amazing pool

A beautiful secluded property in the lovely Pelekas village. Not easy to access the beach without a car but the view from the property is outstanding. A few maintenance issues, but nothing that really impacted us (tv not working, pool light out, one toilet not working) and easily fixed I imagine. Lorenco property manager very kind. Having the entire villa and pool to ourselves was fantastic. Fully equipped kitchen but no pantry staples, although eating out in the village is a better option than cooking! Overall, highly recommend for a quiet piece of paradise

fantastic house and view

We were really impressed by the house and the pool. It is even better than it looks on the pictures. You need a car, because it is far from Pelekas and the beach. you can walk to Pelekas in 15 min, the beach is 25 min away. In the evening it is very dark and feels even more far away. Our overall impression is good, but two of the airconditions did not work, and during our two week stay they didn't manage to fix it. When you pay this much you could expect it to be fixed right away. The owners were really nice and tried to help us, but still we had no aircondition for two weeks. Pelekas is a really nice little village, we would certanly come back to this lovely place.

Disappointing but could easily be improved

We were 6 adults spending 2 weeks in this house in August 2022 and the evaluation should have been at 5 stars because the view is amazing, the house is great with spacious rooms, very well located, quite with beaches within a 10 minutes driving distance and Pelekas village, probably the most living and beautiful small village of the island. However, we faced a lot of issues during our stay, then the evaluation is more 3 stars than 5. No water when we arrived (fixed in few hours) Bedrom baywindow blocked closed (repaired 10 days after) Corridor WC door blocked open (repaired 10 days after) Swimming pool filtering system not working (we had a week with dirty water surface and muddy water – ok the second week and definitely fixed the day we left) Perfect for 4 adults and 2 or 3 children but not really for 6 adults : the 2 separate beds mattress are not suitable for adults. Overall equipment lacking regular maintenance/change : dishwasher randomly working, fridge not closing well, all glasses different, no usable cooking tools nor cooking knifes, deckchairs crumbling and falling parts, poor quality BBQ, only one small parasol…

Beautiful home with amazing view and pool!

This home was everything we’d hoped. Very clean and a short drive from a nice beach area. Lorenzo the property manager great and very helpful. Hope to return someday soon.

Rural Pelekas

We enjoyed our summer holiday in Villa Daphne; the pool was fantastic and the view was amazing. The villa is very clean with lots of space for our party of 6. Great to have your own en-suite in each bedroom. Pelekas is fairly rural, there is a lovely village which is a 15 min walk away with great Souvlaki. We couldn’t walk to the beaches as they were too far away and driving was interesting going down the very windy & steep hills! Glyfada beach is amazing and nearby. We had a great day out at Aqualand which is not far away and also very clean and huge fun. Corfu Town is worth a visit - who knew Sephora was there :). We also went on a boat trip at Paleo-K. The property managers were friendly & very responsive and the villa was clean & tidy. Our only disappointment was not being able to eat outside (we usually eat all meals outside on holiday in sunny climates) - the wasps (inherent all over the island, even followed us on our boat trip!) and the mosquitoes kept us indoors. Overall, a lovely place.

Lovely villa with a beautiful view

We really enjoyed our stay at the villa, the view is beautiful, the pool is large and the outside seating area is lovely to use. The villa is very clean and well maintained, communication with the owner and Mr Makis who services the villa was very good and the mid week clean and change of sheets was an unexpected but welcome addition.

Nice house

A lot of positive points: spacious and comfortable villa, fantastic pool very well maintained and clean, nice sea view, easy access road (despite what I read from other travelers), nice location (close to several beautiful beaches), away from busy corfu town, etc. A few negative points: wi-fi rarely working and extremely slow (finally not the most important when you are in holidays), wasps and mosquito (probably the same everywhere on the island), bed mattress quality Suggestion to the owner: provide a pack with product for wash-machine, garbage bags, coffee filters, ... This will avoid having to buy everything for only 1 week.... Overall, nice house to be recommended.

Delightful

My husband and I spent a fabulous week here from the 18th July. We are 60. The house is well equipped with everything you need + parking. The only thing I didn't see and could have done with was a microwave. Every bedroom has its own bath/shower room and there is a separate upstairs toilet as well - very sensible. There was a wasps nest in the corner of the roof on the upstairs balcony which could be a problem for some people. If you leave them alone they will leave you alone. Wasps are necessary for pollinating, so they are an important part of the ecosystem. Although there is a neighbouring house right next door to you they have been built to allow for a high degree of privacy. Nevertheless, the peacefulness will depend a lot on the neighbours you have. We were lucky - our neighbours were pretty quiet and out a lot, but it could have gone the other way if there had been a big group next door. The pool is fabulous and not over-chlorinated (thank goodness). Big and with a view across the sea. The forest to the left ensures seclusion from that side. There is a small portable BBQ (we ate out every day so we didn't need it), a garden water hose on the terrace and a sprinkler for the grass area. The shaded dinning gazebo area was lovely. There were enough sun beds for six people, but only one sunshade. There is no outdoor shower for the pool so you will need to go inside to shower off. The dirt track to the house is fine, but I would recommend a 4-wheel drive - especially if you want to see more of the smaller villages on the island. Otherwise the roads are surprisingly well-maintained. Makis and Feh, who take care of the villa, were very helpful and brought us wifi that connected to the phone line. Be aware that this doesn't always work and any downloads can take quite a while. It is extremely slow, but you are on holiday so be patient when you are using it and be prepared for when it doesn't work. Makis was very considerate and also phoned up-front to let you know when they would be round (mid-week) to maintain the pool and clean the house. The room sizes, pool and terrace areas are very generous in proportions. During the day you can watch the swallows swoop down and drink from the pool - at night the bats come for a drink. On a clear night you have a wonderful starry sky. We actually lay out watching the galaxy move and saw a total of three shooting stars one night. All in all a wonderful villa which we are happy to recommend.

Everything is so suitable

This is a fantastic. So quiet I cannot stress you don't hear cars, bikes nothing just birds, bees and the nature sounds do the island. You are totally private by the pool, the management are very helpful but do not interrupt your stay, well worth going on a boat hire trip which the manager can get a good rate for you. We loved tootling around the islands on a boat for a day. Also take a drive by car around the island to explore. Don't be put off the roads all easy to drive around a bit hairy at times but you get used to it. Maid service great. Everything is so suitable. Hope to stay again.

Nice but expected more

The house and the pool was very nice but we had some issues that may be interesting to know about (we have informed the owner about our issues): 1. Wi-fi was not working at all, in you info on Home Away you described it as if it was a regular wi-fi NOT a 3G connection who works sometimes barely and mostly not at all. We had to ask for the wi-fi 3 times before we got it and we got it on tuesday, two days after we arrived. 2.The road was very bad to the house and describing is as only rural is not enough we would have rented a suv/jeep car if we knew how bad it was now we struggled each time with a regular car... 3. The tumble drier didn't work at all and they couldn't fix it. 4. It was a wasp nest beside the pool so we had a lot of wasps, not so nice. Especially since one of my friends is allergic... 5. Not so far to walk to Pelekas village about 10 min but not so easy to walk to the beach, quite steep slopes, about 30 minutes walk down to the beach. 6.Pelekas was very nice both the village and the beach! To summarize, nice place but we would have appreciated more honesty especially about the wifi and road from the beginning. We really liked Corfu,

Fantastic stay

A stylish villa with a nice view. Close to the charming city of Pelekas the wonderful Pelekas beach, and the water theme park Aquaworld. Be sure to hire a car and you will find this location at least one step above any other on the island in this price range. We loved our stay there and would gladly come back one day.

Nice calm and stylish place

Villa is very well described and description is quite accurate. it is very cozy nice equipped place with special charm. It is very well maintained and provides very comfortable holiday. Wonderful view to the seafront especially from the pool. I would recommend it for families as well as for young couples or friends. Villa is near the main road which lead to pretty village with shops, bakeries and restaurants. Corfu town can be easily reached in 20 minutes. I would strongly recommend this villa as a quiet and relaxing city escape.

Beauty of Corfu Island

We spent 7 wonderful days in Pelekas at Villa Daphne. Villa is located 10 kms from Corfu town, on the way to Glifada and Paleokastritsa, on the hill with faboulos see view. Village Pelekas is on 1 km far from the house and you can go there on foot. Interior of the house is equipped with nice, modern furniture, English style. Colors are Greek, white and blue, cleaned and light. In front of the house there is a parkjng space. In the back there is a pretty nice swimming pool, desun-beds, sun-umbrellas, garden with beautiful flowers. Sandy beach Pelekas is 700 m from the house. Famous Waterland is also very clise to Pelekas. We strongly recommend this type of vacation-absolutely relexed, comfortable and excited spent in nice house and place. Villa Daphne in Pelekas will be our first choice for forthcoming summer holiday.
