Ancient Rome View Apartment

Luxury apartment located on the third floor of a building with elevator on Via San Nicola de’ Cesarini, in the heart of Downtown, a few minutes away from Piazza Navona, Campo de’Fiori (famous for its colourful open-air market), Piazza Farnese, the Pantheon, the Capitol Hill, Piazza Venezia and Trastevere. Finely furnished with a classic style, it is comprised of a living room equipped with wi-fi and LCD TV, a dining room, a comfortable double bedroom with LCD TV, a twin bedroom, a bathroom with shower and washing machine, a second bathroom with bath-tub and a fully equipped kitchen with dish-washer. The apartment is enriched by three little balconies offering a wonderful view over the archaeological site of Torre Argentina- where, according to the tradition, Julius Caesar was assassinated on 15th March 44 B.C. (the famous Ides of March)- and from where you can enjoy the sight of the Romanic bell- tower of S. Maria in Cosmedin Basilica and of the Baroque domes of S.Carlo ai Catinari, S.Andrea della Valle and S.Agnese in Agone churches. The exclusive location, which allows the visit on foot of the main city’s landmarks, and the efficient network of public transport which connects the apartment with the rest of the city, the airports and the railway stations, make it perfect for an unforgettable vacation in the Eternal City.

The apartment was spacious, well maintained and comes with a great view of Largo di Torre Argentina. The host was available at the agreed check in time and showed us the apartment in person. It is in central Rome and is only a short walk to both the Pantheon and the Colosseum. There are several good restaurants nearby as well as markets, pharmacies, and gelato places. (I mention the gelato because it is one of my favorite things about Rome!) There is a taxi stand and public transportation nearby to easily get to other parts of the city. Drawbacks include the street noise of Rome.

We loved this location and the historical significance but the apartment itself was spacious and accommodating for our family of 4. We had some space, two bathrooms and the views are really cool. Clean, comfortable and unique with decor that was cozy. The ‘lift’ was nice for the luggage trips and unique in and of itself. Jacopo was available to us for checking d so kind and friendly and helpful- thank you!
So being above the area from The Ides of March was well- made an impact. It is such a sight and to be over it and able to see over top view? Made the stay extra special especially with children who are studying the ancients this year in school.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in our Ancient Rome View Apartment. The view overlooking Largo Argentina is spectacular and the location is very convenient as it is close to restaurants, stores, and many of ancient Rome’s historic sites. Our host Allesandro was very accommodating and arranged transportation from Rome Fiumicino Airport to our apartment, met us at the apartment, and did a walk through. We thoroughly enjoyed our accommodations and would not hesitate to stay in the Ancient Rome View apartment in the future.

The host was extremely helpful walking us through the apartment and things to look out for. He recommended several great places to eat as well as different driving services and coffee shops!! I highly recommend staying here!

Family vacation

We had a wonderful time at this apartment. The location is perfect. Walking distance to most of the sites. The apartment was larger than it appears in the photos. The property manager was quick to respond to all of our questions and check in with Alessandro was a breeze. Would definitely recommend.

Unfortunately, this was the most stressful accommodation of our entire 7-country trip.Check-in Issues: This was the only property requiring an additional credit card hold for damages, surprisingly earmarked 'only for major issues - like a fire', which is frightening for people who intend no harm to a property. Once inside, we found numerous threatening notices throughout the apartment warning of fines for various infractions (see photos). These two things created an unwelcoming atmosphere from the start.Elevator & Hostile Neighbors: Despite carefully following the elevator instructions provided, we were scolded by the next-door neighbor and then later by another resident who each blamed us 'vrbo people' for operating it incorrectly. When we contacted the property manager for help, we received no response. We couldn't use the stairs as an alternative because the neighbor had changed the locks on the stairwell door. Trash Disposal: We were told to use public bins in the square for trash. A local restaurant owner informed us this was because the property manager wasn't paying for building trash service—essentially requiring illegal disposal in public receptacles.Property Condition: The seat on all the chairs were either sunken or entirely broken (see photos). One set of towels was provided for a 10-night stay.The lack of support from the property manager, hostile building environment, and questionable operational practices made this stay unnecessarily stressful.

Great location

The apartment was a good mix of historic charm and functional updates. The location was great - easy to walk to many Rome attractions. We would recommend to friends and would consider staying again if we are in Rome.

Perfect location!

This apartment was exactly what we were looking for in the heart of Rome. We walked to the Spanish steps, Trevi fountain, The Pantheon, and the Travestere neighborhood. Grazi!
