Amazing villa - incredible 180 degree views!

Our trip to Yerakina last June was glorious. The villa is set into the highest part of the north-east end of the island, with majestic views over olive groves and far out to sea. Unlike a lot a places you find online it looked exactly like the photos and in real life was enhanced by the incredible 180 degree views and peacefulness. The interior of the villa reinforces the feeling that you are actually in a private property – one that belongs to somebody with great taste in furniture and art, and the exterior is made up of the pool and a number of terraces where we enjoyed long breakfasts/lunches - and ideal for entertaining in the evening. The seating areas on each end of the main terrace are perfect for sunbathing by day and stargazing by night. The house log book gave us lots of useful info about the north part of the island – the best tavernas, bars, supermarkets etc, most of which are a short 10 minute drive away. We’d particularly recommend visiting La Historia for dinner (ask for a table on the beach) and Dennis’s in Volimes. Yerakina is the perfect villa for families or a group of friends. Would highly recommend!!

Wonderful holiday home

We had the most marvellous time staying in this magical place. The view from the Terrace and the two main bedrooms and kitchen is simply stunning. It has been beautifully decorated and furnished and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it . Very well equipped and is a short drive to many beaches and fab restaurants.

Idyllic villa.

Situated high above the shore with views across the Ionian Sea to Cephalonia and along the coast, Yerakina is in a stunning position. It is also very well placed to explore the North part of the island and the many local restaurants. The villa itself is decorated with warm Mediterranean touches and is equipped to the highest standard. It is supremely comfortable for ten people and with the wonderful pool, balcony and terraces there are plenty of places either to congregate or to escape the party and find peace and quiet. It is so obviously loved and cherished by the owner who maintains it in sparkling condition. I could not recommend it more highly.

A remarkable property, divine view, just perfect.

The villa is set up on an olive clad hillside and has the most wonderful view across Zakynthos to the distant Peloponnese and islands as far as Ithaca. The facilities and pool are perfect as are the walks, local restaurants and the beautiful azure sea, which is only a short drive away. Ideal for anyone who wants to experience a holiday in an unspoilt, beautiful part of Greece.

A villa with a definite wow factor!

We have been lucky enough to stay in this villa about 6 times, as guests of the owners and renting it ourselves. The view is simply spectacular and the villa awesome - more than comfortable, extremely well appointed with many lovely pictures (mostly painted by the owner herself), fabulous pool, pretty garden, and choice of terraces on which to sit or sleep. It feels like a proper home. The bedrooms all have their own bathrooms and lovely views. It is easy to drive down or up to local villages to eat out, lots of beautiful walks with amazing scenery. Go in the spring and enjoy the flowers which are to die for, or late summer when the sea is at its warmest. August is hot, but not unbearably so because it is up high and catches the breeze. It is also the time to take advantage of the Peligoni Club while it is in full swing. Couldn't recommend it more highly.

I have five children who have enjoyed coming to Yerakina over the years. As someone who runs art courses in England and in Greece, Yerakina provides a beautiful backdrop to inspire those who stay. I also love reading, walking, swimming, sailing, animal and bird-life as well as hosting dinner and drinks parties which Yerakina can host very well.
