Anne and Graham welcomed us warmly to the building, and they provided everything we needed at the house. The building has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. Each bedroom had plenty of room for us and with everything being on a single floor it would make it ideal for those with mobility issues. The house comes complete with washing machine, dryer, dish washer, a barbeque, televisions. In the bathroom there is a power shower and a bath so it suited our needs.
After the initial greeting and walkaround the house, Anne and Graham left us to ourselves, only asking if we wanted a badger alert - and that is the main attraction here. The owners are clearly animal lovers. In the morning you can watch a variety of British garden birds feeding on the feeders. We saw most commonly seen garden birds as well as a lesser spotted woodpecker. At dusk, from the front window you can see badgers, throughout our stay we saw between 2-4 badgers every night. On the last night we saw two foxes as well.
If you're exploring Cornwall, Badgers Holt is a great base to start from. Just outside of Redruth, it's a few minutes from there to the A30, the main road through Cornwall. My family and I loved Badgers Holt and we can't wait to stay there again.
