We have stayed at several Vacation Rental properties throughout the years and this was the first time that we were disappointed. The Condo is nicely decorated and fully stocked with everything you need, plus additional extras, that was very nice. Beautiful views of the ocean and easy access to the pool and beach. However, the owner should really look into finding a New Property Mgmt Comp. We paid for early check-In, due to Covid19, check-in's were between 4pm-6pm so that each unit could be thoroughly cleaned after each guest. Upon arriving to the condo, we could smell what appeared to be a cleaning solution, however, that was not the case. Clothes were still in the washer, there was months worth of dust coating the ceiling fans, walls, doors and furniture. (skin cells, hair, bacteria of previous guest) Stains on the sofa, food crumbs on the stove and counter-tops, food splattered on the walls, backsplash, cabinets. Dirty dishes in the cabinets. Hair from previous guest on the dinning table, in the fridge, sink and freezer. The light switches were dirty as well as the outside of the kitchen cabinets and clearly had not been sanitized, why would you clean a door knob/handle and NOT wipe the area around it? The floors were dirty, we could see that a mop had been used by the dried dirt and hair lying in clumps. We killed 5 cockroaches during our stay. There were several "questionable" stains on the decorative pillows in the second BR where my children were suppose to sleep. Could be soap buildup, but these aren't pillows that you can throw in the wash. Thankfully, we packed our own sheets and brought our own pillows, habit. We contacted the Property Mgmt Comp and they were quick to send a cleaning crew. The crew entered the condo w/out wearing face mask and wanted me to point out everything that needed to be cleaned, that should never be the responsibility of a Guest. They left 10mins after arriving and right before they left one of the cleaners wiped the debris on the counter into the floor and did not sweep it up before leaving. I called the Mang Comp back, spoke to Manager on Duty, "Ron", he advised that their cleaning standards may not be up to par with how I might clean at home and they perform 2 deep cleanings yearly and do not have time to clean behind the fridge after each guest? I emailed pics to Ron, he sent another cleaning crew and offered a late checkout,which we declined, he never apologized for the inconvenience.
