I am very sad to hear of your dissatisfaction with Vila Mar, where majority of my reviews are 4.9* or 5*
My Families love Vila Mar and I have a lot of return Families, because they feel so at home, so comfortable.
I was in communication with you from the UK days before you arrived, when you wanted address details and how many hairdryers there were for all you ladies and if you could stay till 12:30am on departure day as this was your pick up time( which i said "yes" too). I answered all your questions and was in contact with you when you landed till you were inside Villa Mar, I accompanied all your steps, till you were safely inside Vila Mar, even helped when your transfer Company dropped you off at the wrong Condominium, even after I had sent you the physical address and "Google Map" location via WhatsApp. Giving the Restaurant O Lavrador as a reference point.I am sorry you had a bad start to your holiday by being dropped off at wrong place past midnight , but that was not my fault. I was in touch with you all the time and you soon found my Condominium with my help.. You got into Villa Mar 30min past midnight as per our conversation. With no problems.
You mention the loungers, which I have 8 in total, 4 are plastic and 4 are a light material to carry to pool area. The only way the lighter loungers will collapse is if they not stretched out properly. My Villa has pin locks on all sliding doors, and has locks on the metal shutters. My front door has a brand new lock, put in by the handyman Mike whom you met just before you went out for dinner, so you he could just show you that one has to slightly pull the door towards one when doing the last turn. You said Mike was very helpful in showing you the door knack before you Ladies went out. This is this first time you mentioned having a problem with the door, as we were in touch via WhatsApp, as I mentioned I had broken a foot and could not drive under Doctor s orders, but I had Maria my very efficient and trusted cleaning lady and Mike my trusted handyman.
You mentioned not leaving a starter pack. But I leave coffee/tea, sugar, spices, a bottle of complementary wine, all sorts of spices. I leave at keast 1 roll of toilet paper in 3 bathrooms. I leave dishwasher liquid, sponge and cloth, dishwasher tablets and Washing Machine liquid for clothes. I also leave loads of big beach/pool towels for my Guests so they don't have to come loaded with towels as extra weight. If you wanted some shopping done for you you could have asked, and it would have been at Villa Mar upon your arrival. I have done for Families with young children who arrive late and they pay me for the shopping.. Usually adults don't ask for this as the Strip has restaurants and bars open till late. The Strip is 3/5min walk way.
I am sad with all the your issues which you never mentioned to me, as I even made sure you all arrived safely home and when Maria cleaned Villa and found reading glasses, I immediately communicated this to you, in case you wanted me to post them to you.
You forgot to mention the broken varnish bottle that went all over the place and the broken spirits bottle that was high up in a cupboard, and the broken sliding door handle to the garden, that you left broken without mentioning, so I could not get it fixed in time for the next Guests.
Regarding the garden, August is when our gardens are at their fullest bloom. I try avoid disturbing the Guests with the imposition of a gardener and garden tool noises whenever possible.
I wish you had mentioned these issues whilst on holiday, so we could get to the bottom of all of what was worrying you. Despite having the communication channels open to you all the time, and being in communication with me various times you did not mention any of them. This put me in an unfair advantage as I had no knowledge of your issues.
I like openess and transparency and I make all my Guests feel free to do the same.

P.s.I am truly sorry if you were unhappy as I really want all my Guests to be happy Guests. We communicated so many times via WhatsApp and you only mentioned the front door, which I explained one had to pull it slightly towards one when doing the last turn, and sent my handyman to come show you and you said you had learnt the knack.
