This modern loft in the historic S&W Cafeteria building mixes old and new elements for comfort and relaxation. On the inside you will find a well-appointed, spacious loft. On the outside the city extends your experience to the rest of what Asheville offers...just a walk about to a dynamic culinary scene, shopping, art, music, theater and historical treasures. With this property, location is EVERYTHING! You will find yourself at the center of the downtown core. Within short distances, experience many outdoor activities, the famed Biltmore Estate, the historic Grove Park Inn and the beautiful vistas along the Blue Ridge Parkway. This is a beautiful loft in a great location. The host made arrival extra special by adding thoughtful details, but I won't spoil the surprise for you. This will always be my first choice when traveling in Ashville.

The loft is a beautiful apace and in an excellent location. It is central to all that downtown Asheville has to offer. Everything we needed was supplied and the furnishings were very comfortable and lovely. The host had great communication and answered our few questions quickly. Will definitely try to stay here again. The space is cozy, beautiful and convenient.

I had an amazing stay. The property is in a perfect location. Secure and convenient garage parking a short walk away. Amazing style of decor!! Such a cool place. Melanie was readily available throughout the stay and so helpful finding the property and throughout the check-in process. I can't wait to go back and wouldn't consider staying anyplace else.

The central setting was ideal. Parking was a little tricky, but once we figured out where to park, it was fine.The eclectic furnishings were charming and very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. Great shower and lovely king size bed.

The loft and building is lovely. Convenient to downtown restaurants and retail. Parking garage on the street behind the building is safe, secure and well lit with reasonable rates. Love the historic feel of the loft with the brick walls and knotty pine floors. We really didn't use the kitchen but it is well provisioned.

The apartment was incredibly well equipped. The towels and linens were great. We spent the week as digital nomads and had everything we needed. The location is walkable to everything downtown and even to the River Arts District if you’re up for it. Communication with the host was easy. We’ll definitely be back again!

Built in 1927 and originally the home of the S&W Cafeteria this property was restored to preserve its art deco inspired architecture and history while creating livable space with modern and natural elements that make it a unique lodging experience for those who want something authentic to the City of Asheville. It's our love of historical loft living and exploring the western region of NC that gave birth to the James Loft.
