This modern loft in the historic S&W Cafeteria building mixes old and new elements for comfort and relaxation. On the inside you will find a well-appointed, spacious loft. On the outside the city extends your experience to the rest of what Asheville offers...just a walk about to a dynamic culinary scene, shopping, art, music, theater and historical treasures. With this property, location is EVERYTHING! You will find yourself at the center of the downtown core. What a spot! We loved being here. Location is second to none. Great variety of restaurants downstairs for when you're not wanting to go out on the town. The property was full of amenities and was beautifully decorated. It made for a very pleasant relaxing stay. The bonus is the "speakeasy entrance" coming in the back door when you need to! I used to live in Asheville years ago and it was wonderful being able to walk to all the great restaurants. Asheville is still a foodies dream and this property helped us enjoy that once again. We'll definitely book this property again no doubt
The famous Buxton chicken sandwich is available downstairs!

Wonderful spot. Very clean, comfortable, and stylish. Great location. The kitchen is also very well equipped. Was a delight.

Great location with easy access to shops and restaurants with lots of great food options. The kids loved being able to get ice cream just downstairs. A little confusing upon arrival using 3 different codes to access the building, elevator and then the unit but the host gave great instructions and once here, it was a breeze.

The host provided thorough instructions for entry into this public building that has secure upstairs condos. Location of a nearby parking garage was helpful as well. She also checked in with me via the app upon my entry to make sure all was well. The unit was really cozy, clean and comfortable; amenities were plentiful. It was also very quiet. I was a single woman traveling alone and felt really safe with all of the electronic locks - building access, elevator and unit entry door.I was able to walk to great restaurants and art galleries/markets in downtown Asheville and the Biltmore, Biltmore Village and River Arts District are short drives away.

Beautiful place, perfect for 2. Super convienent to all downtown. The only thing is that the walls are thin so whatever anyone is doing next door you hear, if you know what I mean.

This property was amazing. Very clean and well decorated. Loved the historic arts area it was located in. It had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. Host was very responsive. Would definitely stay again.

We had an excellent stay at this property. The home was just as the description and pictures portrayed. The host was informative and responsive. Very well appointed space and extremely convenient location. The bed was nice--not too hard and not too soft. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed. TP and paper towels were nice quality as was everything. When we return to Asheville, we would like to return to this property. Thank you for a great experience.

Beautiful condo in Asheville

We stayed at this beautiful condo for a long weekend in Asheville. It’s exactly as pictured. Clean and beautifully decorated. Responsive and available host. This condo is in an amazing location where there is a food hall on the ground level (Flour, The Hop etc.) of the building. You can easily walk to a lot of shops, restaurants and bars from this location. We did not do any cooking but the kitchen seemed well equipped (utensils, keurig, few kitchen staples in the fridge, wine fridge etc) if you wanted to cook during your stay. Parking deck close by was 12 a day. Shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion and hand soap all provided. Occasionally we heard a little bit of hallway noise, but quiet hours are posted from 10pm to 8am and that seemed to be respected by everyone on the floor. We really enjoyed our stay and I’m sure you will too!

The loft is AMAZING. We had a wonderful stay, and everything was perfect. The location in the S&W cafeteria building is fantastic, right in the heart of downtown and a short walk to everything. Parking convenient and reasonable in garage next to property. The loft furnishings and amenities are outstanding - everything (towels, kitchen supplies, etc.) are all very high quality (much better than one would expect for a rental). Everything you could possibly need is available in the loft. The host was very responsive and provided a lot of useful information. This is a much better option than staying at a hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

Built in 1927 and originally the home of the S&W Cafeteria this property was restored to preserve its art deco inspired architecture and history while creating livable space with modern and natural elements that make it a unique lodging experience for those who want something authentic to the City of Asheville. It's our love of historical loft living and exploring the western region of NC that gave birth to the James Loft.
