We enjoyed a wonderful week at Casa Colorin which offered the perfect balance of comfort, beauty, and kind, attentive hospitality. We will return for the unparalleled views from the infinity pool (whale watching while swimming is now a forever cherished memory), Lara's warmth and delicious food (highly recommend checking her availability for preparing a memorable meal), and Nerina's kindness with coordinating shuttles, advice on activities and restaurants. We had a hiccup during the end of our trip when our son became ill (not food borne!). Lara and Nerina both went the extra mile to help make him comfortable, and we will never forget their gracious warmth.The location on the edge of town was perfect for us. We loved the quiet, peaceful setting, the sound of birds and waves lapping the shore. As others have mentioned, the home is on a very steep hill. Renting the atv is highly recommend, but the hike is a great workout!

Was the perfect home with the perfect host. Loved the North side, quiet and stunning. Being up on the Hill provided stunning unobstructed 180 views, nestled in the middle of gorgeous jungle, vegetation, with a 60 second ride down to a hidden beach path to the most secluded part of the beach in North Sayulita. Alejandro was very attentive and accommodating to all needs at all times. We will be back every year!

5 StarsAn Amazing Stay in Sayulita!

We had such a great experience staying at Alejandro’s place! Alejandro was an amazing host — so gracious, incredibly helpful, and truly an expert on everything Sayulita. He made us feel welcome from the very start.The house itself was fantastic — a killer location with all the amenities we needed, plenty of space, and it really felt like our own home away from home. It’s a little outside of the main town and sits up a pretty steep hill, so I would definitely recommend renting an ATV to get around easily. It made everything super convenient and added to the adventure!We did encounter a situation with ants, but it’s pretty common in the area — they move quickly and didn’t cause much trouble once we got on top of it. Alejandro’s cleaning lady, Andrea, was a total saint — always so kind, helpful, and kept everything spotless during our stay.Overall, we had an amazing time and would absolutely recommend staying here. We can’t wait to come back!sound!)

Better than you can imagine!

Look no further. This property is amazing. The pictures do it no justice. Just spent 8 nights there and didn’t want to leave the house. From the moment you arrive Alejandro is welcoming and easy to communicate with. The house has everything you need and nothing you don’t. The pool was perfect for my kids (8 & 10), my wife and I (40’s) and my parents (70’s). The beds are comfortable. The living spaces both upstairs and downstairs are so well thought out and make it so easy to relax. If it weren’t for going to restaurants and the 2 beach for 2 days, there was really no need to leave the house at all. Even the kids were content at the house and didn’t need to go to the beach everyday…it’s truly an amazing house with an absolutely amazing view. We rented the Polaris ATV to get around town and up and down the hill, well worth it. There are beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas, pool toys, snorkel fins and masks all at the house. The kitchen has a great selection of cookware and utensils. It’s got everything you need and nothing you don’t…Lara, the caretaker/maid was absolutely amazing. Cleaned everything so nicely every day. Made us amazing dinner one night as well. Tried to bring her home with us….Would book this same house again on another trip without hesitation.

Wonderful Stay at Casa Colorin

Our group of five had a fabulous time staying at Alejandro’s colorful casa! The house is beautiful and modern with interesting collections and artwork throughout. We slept with the screen doors open so we could hear the waves at night. Alejandro was a great host and set up shuttle service to/from the airport for us. We also rented his Polaris instead of a golf cart, which was very convenient and made getting up and down the steep hill a breeze. There were beach towels, blankets, and chairs we were able to bring to the beach and sunsets from the pool were a highlight of each day.The housekeeper Laura was wonderful and cooked our group two delicious meals. We enjoyed talking with her each day and practicing our Spanish. We would absolutely stay here again next time we’re in Sayulita!

Lovely Family vacation

We so enjoyed our week at Casa Colorin. Alejandro is a lovely host. He communicated details of the house, helped us arrange our transportation from Puerta Vallarta and answered any questions quickly. Laura our housekeeper is amazing with a warm and welcoming personality and a fantastic cook! We highly recommend having her prepare a few meals for your stay. The shrimp ceviche was amazing! The location north of town on the hill has stunning views and is so peaceful. The beach close to the house was beautiful and quiet. The house was the perfect place for a family vacation. We spent tons of time in the pool as well as relaxing upstairs in the open air living space. Having a bathroom and a deck in each room allowed for everyone to have their own space when needed. We highly recommend this house and hope to return soon!

Alejandro's house is stunningly beautiful! All three bedrooms, an upstairs terrace and the outdoor dining area all overlook the Pacific Ocean and Punta Sayulita; you can hear the waves breaking on the beach 200m/yards below. The nearby birds and lizards provide nature's entertainment. The downstairs and bedrooms have large sliding doors to open for fresh air, with screens to keep bugs out. If you need to chill, the whole downstairs and both upstairs bedrooms have air conditioning, which works well to cool those rooms down for good sleep. Alejandro is an excellent host, with detailed instructions for arriving and enjoying the house; he can arrange transportation to and from the airport with a local company. Laura the housekeeper is awesome and a great cook! Be sure to ask Alejandro for a menu of what Laura can make for you in the house kitchen. We loved everything about our stay!

In town for a wedding

A truly magical experience in Sayulita. Great house set up with everything you need. Having filtered water from the kitchen was a huge step up from having to use all of the bottles. The housekeeper was fantastic. Alejandro went above and beyond and picked us up at the bus station when we came into town from Guadalajara. Comfortable, clean, spacious, great pool. You won’t regret booking this place.

Magical stay with my amigas

We had the most amazing stay. The view was absolutely beautiful and never got old- it is 100% worth the hike up that hill!! - but renting the Polaris makes it easier and is so much fun too! As an active group though, we did enjoy the walk into town (15-20 mins) as it was really beautiful. The location was great- being in the North end, it is a little more removed and quieter than the bustling centre- we found this a relief. But also, extremely walkable to town, restaurants and shops. There is a great beach access at the bottom of the hill. Communication with Alejandro was quick, easy and very pleasant. Laura kept the place really tidy and was so friendly- we truly loved her. The estate was beautiful, the beds comfortable, the living areas perfect. We were even able to watch the Canucks game on the TVs many channels. The kitchen had a few dirty utensils on arrival, and my only suggestion would be a few more cutting boards and knives- otherwise everything was perfect and we will definitely be coming back. Thank you Alejandro!

Fabulous Villa!

A true gem! Beautiful location perched above Sayulita with stunning views, yet very accessible to the beach and town. An open layout with Impeccable design and decor. Filtered drinkable cold water out of the kitchen faucets was a plus. Well appointed kitchen with plenty of coffee makers and microwave. Daily cleaning service is provided by a friendly, kind hearted woman who helped with our Spanish. A responsive, accomodating host made sure our family of 7 adults were settled and comfortable. The steep hill to access the house requires some horsepower or 4WD or provides a great workout!

The most perfect house in sayulita

We enjoyed every single thing about this unique house, the curated art, the warmth, comfort, and the host Alejandro and house person Laura. Location is great for being in town or on the beach, but it gave us a quiet place to retreat to, cook a few meals, and relax. I can’t imagine having an more enjoyable vacation anywhere in the world. It was exactly what we wanted, and more.

House is amazing. Location is perfect if you want to stay outside of town center. Best beach is right down the hill. Alejandro was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay again. Be aware the house is on a steep hill so recommend renting the Polaris - makes it easy to carry your beach stuff or pop into town.

HOME AWAY FROM HOME!

12/10 experience!! Alejandro and Laura made us feel right at home. The home is beyond beautiful and perfectly spacious for 6 people. It is the perfect distance from town and the ocean. The food that Laura cooked was THE HIGHLIGHT of the trip and she was so warm and welcoming. Id recommend this listing to every single person I know and hope to come back soon. Thank you Alejandro!

Luxurious, Relaxing and very comfortable

This was our favorite property thus far in Sayulita. We have visited there 3 times in the past 12 months so needless to say we love the town and know it well. You have to walk a ways to get to restaurants or the beach which was a pro and a con. The privacy and peace was sooo nice and the house and pool are so comfortable that it was nice to stay at the property. The views are unobstructed and breathtaking and you can listen to the ocean while relaxing in one of the hammocks. The A/C works great and the kitchen is well equipped with all the amenities you need. The housekeeper is extremely attentive and is an amazing cook. Her Chile rellenos and coconut flan were the best we have ever had. They have a Ranger at the property which is much nicer than the typical golf cart or you can walk about 10 minutes to restaurants and the beach. All 3 master suites are private and spacious and have their own bath and there is an additional bathroom in one of the living areas. We really enjoyed our stay there and can't wait to go back.

His appreciation of the unique qualities and beauty of the area show in his thoughtful and expressive design that captures the heart and soul of this special place. Nerina, who hosts Casa Colorin ,came to Sayulita from Argentina and fell in love with the beauty of the place and the warmth of the people. We all love the ocean, nature, beach walks, bird watching, turtles and of course the amazing cuisine right at our doorstep and are passionate about sharing this beautiful piece of paradise with our guests.
