Location and views and close to shops snd restaurants but the apartment itself was a bit of a let down its a little tired the spiral stairs are very tricky to get up to the bedroom with your suitcase also a safe would be good

All as described! We liked it very much and therefore 5 stars!

The appartement is very close to everything and almost in the middle of the city. The Parking is very helpful, because the small village is not build for car traffic. I was lucky! I liked also the satellite TV with German channels. The plan was, to sit on the balcony in the evening and listen to the waves. Because Caraveiro takes so much care on his guests, it was unfortunately not possible to follow the plan.. Every evening, there is a open air show in the center of the City. The singers from the Show were not bad. Because of the good location of the apartement, you are always sitting in the first row of the show. And this every night. Only on that reason, i suppose that my wife and I will not return to Carvoeiro. (We are to old for highlife) But you should!

Super property with fantastic views of beautiful Carvoeiro.

We spent 9 great nights in Casa Griotte. Couldnt fault the two level house with the terrace on the 2nd floor off the large double bedroom and with spectacular sea views. The lower level also has a balcony off the Living Room/Kitchen and again with fabulous coastal views and a view of the town. The location could not have been better with a great choice of restaurants within minutes walk. No disapppointments in any of the restaurants chosen. People with walking difficulties would find Carvoeiro very challenging however, with many hills and steps. Nonetheless there were numerous people of retirement age (possibly now living there) who seemed to manage very well. We would definitely love to return to Carvoeiro and if Casa Griotte was available we would hope to stay there again. One thing that surprised me for a beautiful and quaint town was the cleaniless level. Although never dirty looking, I noticed on steps we daily used that cigarette butts and even broken glass were there for at least a week which I found very surprising given that tourism is it's main source of revenue. I understand that it is probably caused by tourists and not the local residents but these steps led to a restaurant and other businesses which should ensure high standards nearby. This type of coastal location would always have been our preference, trying to avoid high rise buildings and big long stretches of beach.The beach in the town is vey nice and accessible with limited sun beds and parasol @ €25 for two. There are many other options a little further away with many steps to the beaches. If you like to ramble and don't mind a few hills or steps then Carvieiro should be a great choice.
