Villa was central to most of the beautiful cities...but beware...no air conditioning ...and he got very hot..bit the Pool helped that alot.but by far the best part were the hosts Alessandro and Caterina was AMAZING...such kind people...so helpful...they cooked us dinners 3 of the 8 nights and it was made with such love..it was amazing!! they told us of their families and the history of the home..I would go back in a heart beat...these 2 amazing people made a great family vacation and EIPIC vacation!! Thank you Alessandro and Caterina!..

We stayed at San Romolo end of May and June

We stayed at San Romolo end of May and June. We love the house, its garden and pool. House managers Catarina and Alessandro are very lovely people, so helpful, informative and responsive. It was a joy to come back to the house after sightseeing trips, cooling down in the pool, in the shade of the large trees and in the cool kitchen. House is complete with everything that you need. Highly recommend it. So much Tuscan beauty to visit within 30-45 minutes drive. Recommend La Spinosa in Barbarino for beautiful wine/oil/cooking class. For a nearby great dinner: Triocco in Barberino and Il Caffè degli Amici in Tavarnelle.

Tuscan heaven

10 family members, ages 34 to 71 spent a week here, up on a ridge overlooking valleys of vineyards and olive trees. Lovely villa with more than enough room for all of us. Large kitchen/dining area. Pizza oven outside. Beautiful swimming pool long enough for lap swimming. Great location between Florence and Siena. Very happy overall and reasonable too!

We had a wonderful week at San Romolo Villa

We had a wonderful week at San Romolo Villa. Caterina and her husband gave us a warm and friendly welcome and some very useful tips on sightseeing. They also cooked a delicious and substantial Tuscan feast for us at the Villa - so substantial we ate leftovers for two days. The Villa has literally everything that you can need. The Villa was very clean, spacious and all the beds and furnishings were very comfortable. The location could not be bettered - across a valley from Barberino and Castello Tignano, with views of vineyards and open countryside. The unheated pool was a magnet for the granddaughters and a sun trap for the adults. A great feeling of tranquility and a wonderful chance to get together with family and chill out. Thanks again for a holiday to remember.

This villa is located in a beautiful area of Tuscany with truly stunning views, but there were several comfort issues that significantly impacted our stay.One of the bedroom windows had holes in the screen, and because there was no air conditioning during an extremely hot period, we had to keep the windows open. Unfortunately, mosquitoes were constantly coming into the room, even buzzing around my son-in-law's ears at night. The fans provided were simply not enough for the intense summer heat.The most significant issue was the lack of hot water. Our family had to take cold showers for four consecutive nights before ultimately deciding to leave early. To the host's credit, they remained in communication and did make efforts to address our concerns, but most issues were not resolved during our stay.Due to the heat and lack of hot water, my children checked out two nights early and moved to a hotel in Florence, while we left one night early. Before departing, we left behind unopened bottles of Aperol Spritz and unopened lupini beans as a small thank-you gesture. We were surprised to later be told that leaving these items in the refrigerator may have caused "damage" to it.On the positive side, the pool was enjoyable, although there were limited comfortable areas for lounging. The views of the Chianti countryside from the pool area were absolutely beautiful.The highlight of the property was the breathtaking scenery. Dear Kristine, we are really sorry to acknowledge that your stay did not meet your expectations. However, we would like to bring a few points to your attention: The hole in the mosquito net was repaired immediately. We are very sorry that you did not have hot water; unfortunately you had switched off the boiler. If only you had contacted the keyholder, they could have turned the boiler back on for you. No one was informed that the bottles left in the fridge were a gift; in any case, no one ever told you that these items could break the fridge. The house does not have air conditioning, as per listing description. We remind you that you left the house without paying the tourist tax, broke several tasting glasses, and broke the fridge's food container, which was found behind a plant in the house. We thank you for giving us the opportunity to review, point by point, the shortcomings you reported, and to verify that the standard guaranteed lives up to the advertised offer. Kind Regards

Nuestra experiencia en esta casa de la Toscana ha sido preciosa. Fuimos un grupo de 10 personas incluido 2 niños 10 y 7 años y desde nuestra llegada todo fue perfecto.Las vistas al llegar son simplemente espectaculares, en plena Toscana, rodeados de un paisaje precioso y en una zona muy tranquila. El recibimiento fue muy cordial y durante toda nuestra estancia estuvimos en contacto por WhatsApp, siempre con mucha amabilidad y disponibilidad.La casa estaba en muy buenas condiciones, limpia y cuidada. Todo estaba correcto y la cocina estaba perfectamente equipada para un grupo grande. Las habitaciones eran amplias, limpias y cómodas, con ventiladores y ventanas con mosquiteras. Al estar en plena naturaleza, en verano hay bastantes mosquitos, pero es algo totalmente comprensible por la ubicación y las mosquiteras ayudan mucho.La piscina estaba muy limpia y fue un auténtico disfrute, especialmente después de los días de turismo.Además, queremos destacar la atención de los anfitriones, que nos orientaron en todo momento sobre la zona: nos recomendaron restaurantes, lugares donde cenar, sitios para visitar e incluso nos dieron consejos sobre dónde aparcar en las zonas turísticas. Todo fueron facilidades y recomendaciones que hicieron nuestro viaje mucho más sencillo.En definitiva, ha sido una experiencia muy bonita, en un entorno espectacular y con unos anfitriones encantadores. **Volveríamos sin duda y recomendamos este alojamiento al 100 %.**

Ein schönes, geräumiges und mit Liebe eingerichtetes Haus in einer traumhaften Landschaft. Es war sehr sauber und der Empfang und die Betreuung durch Caterina und Alessandro war sehr herzlich. Wenn etwas fehlte, wurde sofort Abhilfe geschaffen, auf Nachrichten wurde sehr schnell reagiert. Der Pool ist groß und erfrischend, liegt auch nicht den ganzen Tag in der Sonne, so dass man ihn lang genießen kann. Schade ist nur, dass er sich nicht beleuchten lässt.Toll ist die überdachte Terrasse, auf der wir meist gegessen haben. Leider ist das Dach nur Sonnenschutz, so dass bei Regen immer alles nass wird. Ein wetterfestes Dach wäre toll gewesen, da es hin und wieder geregnet hat. Das letzte kleine Minus war die Internetverbindung: man musste den WLAN-Verstärker in dem Zimmer einstecken, in dem man gerade ins Internet wollte, die Reichweite ist sehr begrenzt, in der Dependance gab es gar kein Internet. Alles in allem haben wir uns aber sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt. Es ist so traumhaft schön dort, der Sonnenuntergang und der Blick in die umliegenden Ortschaften... man kann so viele wunderschöne Orte besuchen - die Zeit hat nicht gereicht!Vielen Dank an Caterina und Alessandro: wir können uns sehr gut vorstellen, wieder zu kommen. A presto !

Sehr entspannend und tolle Lage

Die Anlage ist wie beschrieben. Im Haus ist es sehr ruhig. Nur manchmal hört man Geräusche von Arbeitern auf den umliegenden Feldern. Der Garten ist groß genug, um sich zu beschäftigen und man hat einen tollen Ausblick auf die typische toskanische Landschaft. Man braucht auf jeden Fall ein Auto, wenn man bekannte Städte sehen will, diese sind aber in kurzer Zeit zu erreichen. Der Pool ist groß genug, um Bahnen zu schwimmen, aber es macht auch Spaß, darin einfach nur zu plantschen. Die nur 5min entfernt gelegene Ortschaft Barberino ist sehr schön. Dort gibt es auch nette Restaurants, mit schönem Ausblick. Außerdem gibt es auch einen kleinen aber gut sortieren Supermarkt. Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett und hat uns viele Tipps gegeben. Die Duschen brauchen ein paar Minuten bis warmes Wasser kommt. Zusamenfassend ist die Ferienwohnung sehr schön und geräumig und in einer tollen Gegend gelegen.

NOTRE VOYAGE DE NOCES EN FAMILLE

Nous avons emmené nos enfants et petits enfants à l'occasion de notre mariage. La villa a totalement répondu à nos attentes : sur plusieurs niveaux, elle nous a permis de nous retrouver mais aussi de nous préserver des moments d'intimité. La piscine en contrebas permet également d'être au calme dans les espaces de vie de la maison. Le cadre quant à lieu est superbe ! Cerise sur le gâteau : les propriétaires qui sont adorables, serviables, disponibles et toujours de bon conseil sur les suggestions de lieux ou animations à découvrir.

Erholsamer Urlaub in der wunderschönen Toskana

Das Haus ist wunderbar geeignet für 2 Familien oder einer Groß-Familie. Es liegt in einem grossen weitläufigen Garten mit geschmackvollem Sitzplatz, der zum frühstücken einläd. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und die Zimmer geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Der Pool ist ein Schmuckstück. Sauber, groß, mit einem wunderschönen Blick auf die Toskanische Landschaft. Parkplatz vor dem Haus. Die Anfahrtstrasse ist für große Autos etwas schwierig zu meistern.

Casa bellissima, confortevole, pulita. Proprietari gentilissimi e disponibili. Dotazione completa anche se con qualche piccola imprecisione nella lista dell’annuncio (per esempio i teli per la piscina non vengono forniti a differenza di quanto specificato nell’annuncio).

We had a lovely week at San Romolo

We had a lovely week at San Romolo. Catarina and her husband were excellent and very helpful. There were a few problems, however they helped resolve them quickly. The house is very large. 9 of us and space to spare. We used the pizza oven in the garden and had great fun.

Great villa in the heart of Tuscany. The bedrooms are comfortable and the bathrooms clean. The size of the property means that there’s enough communal space should you be with friends etc and want your own space.
