The good fortune continued and resulted in the Apple Treehouse being built in 2007 on a new lot that was created from the side yard of the house that I bought when I moved here.
Possibly the very best location in all of Bozeman, a 6-7 block walk from DOWNTOWN, the NE NEIGHBORHOOD, the CANNERY DISTRICT, and MIDTOWN. Also between two parks.
The Apple Treehouse was the first of my smart infill projects and is "green" in many respects (an infill project, small lot, small footprint, well insulated, solar hot water, solar electricity, green materials used throughout).
Across the alley from the Apple Treehouse, I bought my neighbor's place in 2013 and have created two new small lots for quality infill, as well as fully restoring the historic brick house that was on it. The restoration project received a Historic Preservation Award from the City of Bozeman. Apple Treehouse version 2.0 was built across the alley in 2017 and is my current house.
