Hi Nathan and thanks for your kind review. We are delighted you enjoyed your holiday. In relation to the points raised... We are glad you didn't find the walk into the village / lake too arduous. We normally assume 10mins there and up to 20mins back - the downside of being in the Alps is there are one or two inclines! With regard to the mezzanine bedroom, we do make the point very clearly on the website and all information provided that it is not full height, as we wouldn't want anyone booking the property under any misapprehensions. It is unfortunate that the timing of your holiday coincided with the pan-European heatwave. We actually lived in the property throughout the last heatwave and found several ways of mitigating the effects (opening both velux windows at sunset, leaving the patio door open but bringing down the security shutter over night to ensure there was adequate throughflow of air etc.). If we had known you were struggling, we could have helped with this advice. Kind regards Mark

Hi John and thanks for your review. We are delighted that you enjoyed the property and it’s level of equipment, location and view. In relation to actually finding the property, we provide a very detailed arrival pack, with maps and pictures. We only tend to encounter problems when guests don’t manage to read or print it in advance. With regards to the plates, this is the first time we have ever received a comment of this nature. We do pride ourselves on the condition of the property and so we will take this up with our property manager. We were very disappointed to see your comments relating to the size of the property and the mezzanine height, as we do go to great lengths, both in terms of the description and photos, to make sure the property is accurately represented, so this should never be a surprise. If you found the restricted height to be a problem on the mezzanine, we are a little puzzled as to why you simply didn’t use the rear full-height bedroom instead as there were only 2 of you. It is unfortunate that the mezzanine was too warm for you. It has 2 opening velux windows and a large tower fan and this seems more than adequate for most guests. For information for other guests, we should also point out that we directly followed on from you in the property in a 4 adult group and, as usual, had no issues with the size, height or warmth of the property.

Merci pour votre avis et vos suggestions. En ce qui concerne les meubles de jardin, je ne suis pas certain de comprendre votre commentaire, car les meubles fournis conviennent à un usage de jardin. Nous envisagerons de fournir un grille-pain, bien qu’il y ait un gril dans la partie supérieure du four. Nous sommes très heureux que vous ayez apprécié vos vacances à Talloires.
