Really lovely house, very comfy beds, lovely bathrooms, great location close to the lake. We loved eating in the outside dining area with the view of the mountains. Grateful for the parking permit that made parking in the area easy.

One week stay for a family of four.

We stayed here for a week in the summertime. Check in was easy and we loved the house. Our two adult children were with us and there was plenty of space for us all. The house had everything we needed and we loved the outside seating area. We cooked and ate there several times. The house is well located for local shops and bars and close to rhe lake. There are also good local bus links to Annecy.

Beautiful quaint villa in stunning area of France

We loved our short stay in Talloires. The villa is beautiful, has plenty of space, and is well equipped . The lake is only a short stroll away and is so pretty. It was getting a little bit cold at the time of our stay but was still swimmable. The town of Annecy is only a short drive away and in my opinion is one of the prettiest towns in Europe (at least the towns I have visited). I would strongly recommend the villa to anyone wanting to spend some time in the French Alps.

Family vacation home in French village

Perfect for a family or group, this traditional stone house has a modern kitchen and bathrooms. Plenty of space for 8 people, including an outdoor deck and yard with mountain views. The private garden is nicer than it looks in the photos. Easy walk to the lake, grocery and bakery. The property manager is very helpful and can arrange a private chef for a special in-home dinner. Talloires is picturesque and quiet.

Stunning location !

We had a lovely time in Catherine's house, an old typical French house but with all modern confort and a well-equiped kitchen. The weather was already quite chilly but heating was working really well. It is perfectly located in the center of Talloires village, the lake is walking distance. There are many great hikes in the surroundings too. The property manager was really helpful and available when needed. We will definitively love to come back !

Lovely old French village house in perfect location

We had a great time in your lovely house which is so close to the town centre, good restaurants and Lake Annecy. The house is very well equipped and evening meals on the deck overlooking the mountains were particularly enjoyable. The fans helped to keep the upstairs bedrooms cooler as they got quite warm in the hot weather. We found the single bed mattresses a bit bouncy and soft, but otherwise the house is very well appointed and full of character.

It was a pleasure to have you stay and we would be most happy to have you come again.

Fantastic property in an amazing place

4 of us, all adults, stayed at this wonderful home in Talliores for a week. The location is fantastic, being a few blocks from the lake and the center of the village. The home is well furnished, clean, and well maintained with a wonderful backyard where we BBQ'ed practically every night. We were met when we arrived and had everything thoroughly explained. Couldnt be any easier. I would definitely recommend this to my family or friends.

The perfect spot !

We were visiting the Annecy area for a long week end with another family. We were 8 (4 adults and 4 Kids) and the house was a perfect match with our need. The owner is very nice and despite some other confilcting bookings Catherine did everything she can to allow us to use the House when it was available. Comunication was smooth and the in-town Manager was also very responsive. The house is very well kept and we liked being able to enjoy the lake a short walk away. The view on the dents de lanfon from the backyard porch is breath-taking.

Perfect location, great home

We loved our stay in this home. The house was beautifully decorated, had amazing view of the mountains from the deck, and was very close to everything in the town center - shops, groceries, restaurants, lake, etc. Lots of street parking so never a problem finding a place to park. The weather was very hot during our stay and the upstairs bedrooms became quite warm - but there were lots of house fans, so that helped. Street level bedroom was nice and cool, but just a little damp/musty which wasn't a big problem because we could keep the bedroom window open when we were in the room.

Lovely holiday home.

Quirky house in fabulous location in the town so sometimes heard street noise. In very hot weather bedrooms in the were roof were stifling but wouldn't expect a/c in such a house. Lovely private garden facing the mountains and everything within walking distance. There was a delightful terrace where we ate all our meals. Talloires smaller than expected but delightful. Facilities ( washing and cooking)in the house were excellent. We had a lovely time- many thanks!

Beautiful Location and Accommodations

We've been to several parts of France. But Lake Annecy offered something quite different. And Talloire was picture perfect. Wonderful location with bus and water service to the center of Annecy. Our home away from home for 1.5 weeks was beautiful. All of the amenities you'll need for a comfortable stay. A lot of care is taken by this owner to ensure your stay is a memorable one. We spent most mornings and evenings in the covered deck in the back yard. The view of the mountains is amazing. So relaxing. Equipped with a grill in the yard which really helped. It was very hot during our stay. The owner had fans delivered. Very much appreciated!! Highly recommend this property for your stay in Talloire.

Perfect Apartment

We are a semi retired couple taking my son, wife and 3 young children on their first holiday outside Australia This apartment was an inspired/perfect choice - it simply met and easily exceeded all of our hopes The greeter was easily to talk to and very helpful The location was fantastic - easy walking distance for a swim at the lake, they got the experience of a French village even a small market on one morning and SAFE. Naturally my son's family were nervous on their first overseas trip. Should also mention the boat trip to Annecy My son was able to hire a nearby tennis court for his tennis mad kids The apartment had everything - very comfortable and we even able to find space from my very active grandchildren. The garden was ideal and we had several unforgettable evening BBQ's admiring the scenery not to mention lunches looking at the multi coloured hang gliders In summary faultless!!!! Robyn

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT IN EVERY WAY!

We had the good fortune of renting this darling home for an extended period of time. Thanks to the charm of the property itself, the professionalism and kindness of the property owners, and of course Talloires itself, we plan to live on Lake Annecy indefinitely. There isn't one straight line in this 18th century home, and that's part of what contributes to making it so perfect. It's incredibly charming, with tons of character. One can't help but feel right at home on arrival. The property is ideally located, within walking distance to everything Talloires has to offer, and sandwiched between two lovely, local neighbors. The house is spotless, the housekeeper is punctual, professional, efficient and also very kind, and the furnishings are all tasteful and comfortable. The linens are brand new, comfortable and fresh. I simply cannot recommend it highly enough. We are loathe to leave, but are only doing so because we are buying a home of our own nearby. I would recommend this home (and this town) without hesitation to absolutely everyone and anyone.

Lovely House Full of Character

We really enjoyed our stay in this house which is split over three levels and is quirky and full of character. The garden is large with a great deck you can sit out on in the evening and enjoy a drink. As there are not that many bars in the village we opted for this before going out to eat and it was certainly no great hardship. All the amenities worked well and the kitchen was well equipped. In hot weather we would recommend staying in the ground floor bedroom as it is the coolest and the en suite shower room looked brand new. Rooms upstairs can get stuffy in hot weather although fans are provided. There are a couple of tips I would give about the village of Talloires. The first is that many of the restaurants are high end/Michelin starred which for us as a couple was great. However if you are bringing children, especially younger children, the formality of a lot of the restaurants may not be for you. There are a couple of family friendly restaurants but if you’re here for any length of time, I would consider self catering or another location. The other tip is around weekends. The village (as it is right next to the lake) was heaving at the weekends during hot weather, so if you want a restaurant booking on a Friday or Saturday night, make sure you make it well in advance. We had thought that everyone would go to nearby Annecy which is much larger in terms of lakeside space, but there were what felt like hundreds of people in what is essentially a village of two or three streets! If you’re a couple or a group of adults looking for a peaceful time in a spectacular setting and enjoy top quality French cuisine, this is for you. We really enjoyed our stay.

Thank you, Richard, for taking the time to leave us a review. Talloires and the Annecy Lake are beautiful and I am glad that you enjoyed your stay in our home. You are right in guessing that the downstairs bathroom is new. We were pleased to be able to use local artisans who were able to create a space that was both modern and comfortable but kept the authenticity of our old village house (which is what we fell in love with). Thank you, too, for your hints for future guests with regards bookings and restaurants. We would happily welcome you back. Kind regards, Catherine

Maison spacieuse et très bien située au centre de Talloires, proche du lac, des commerces et à partir de laquelle nous avons pu faire de nombreuses randonnées. Lovely airy, spacious & well equipped traditional French village house

We had a lovely week in Talloires. The house was perfect for 2 families with teenagers with plenty of inside & outside space for sleeping, relaxing & dining. The house is within easy walking distance of Lake Annecy and the shops & restaurants of Talloires. The house is well equipped & we had many sociable mealtimes sitting outside with a mountain view. We enjoyed many of the activities available in the area including mountain biking, white water rafting, a visit to Chamonix as well as the water sports available on Lake Annecy itself. The owner was very helpful beforehand with advice and the local agency were on hand, if needed. The checking in & out processes were straightforward. This is a lovely property in a lovely part of France.

Beautiful village house on Lake Annecy

We enjoyed a wonderful week in Le Cormoran (not long enough) and would certainly go back again. The house is lovely and well appointed, perfectly located in the village which has everything that you need for a relaxing or exercise filled holiday without travelling anywhere else - but equally very its very easy to get into Annecy or enjoy the surrounding countryside. We were a party of 8 ranging in age from 4 to 75 and the house catered for all our needs. Excellent holiday house in a great location.

I am so pleased that you had a lovely holiday and that you all were able to find your individual pleasures. As you mention, Talloires is not only a beautiful village, but it is well-serviced so that you can spend your entire holiday there enjoying it if you choose. Kind regards, Catherine.

The best location in Talloires for 8 people

We spent a wonderful week in this house. It is perfectly located for parents and kids so you don't have to take the car for any activity. The house is recently remodeled and well equipped. We were 2 families and everyone is thrilled to come back.

My husband and I headed to France with our three children several years ago to live for a year. Our original choice of destination, the Annecy area, was a lucky fluke arrived at after flicking through the pages of the Lonely Planet Guide, stopping on Annecy and reading not only of the beauty of the lake and the proximity to multiple ski stations but also the international airport of Geneva and Italy a hop, skip and jump away. With our interest piqued, we made enquiries, enrolled the children in local schools and decided after a month of living à la française that a year away would be way too short.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

We lived for several years in Menthon-St-Bernard, the next village around the lake and the children attended the local primary school Le Clos Chevalier. Over the years we welcomed many visitors to our simple French life and began to laughingly comment on the increasing pride with which we did so. It was as if we were becoming French ourselves. A place to call home - in France - became our goal and armed with a list of criteria ( close to a bakery being number one! ) and after several years of serious looking we were amazed to be able to finally purchase such a house in the heart of Talloires.

この宿泊施設の特徴

The location of the property in the heart of the village of Talloires, only 150m or so from the Lake shore, is second to none. Additional to this is the charm and history of the house itself, complete with a fully enclosed garden and magnificent views. The daily ritual of opening and closing the shutters with lake and mountain glimpses is a pleasure to be savoured as is quiet contemplation from the terrace or beside the lake watching the sun go down.
