A place like paradise in the heart of Toscana

We had a precious stay in this wonderful villa placed in a pittoresk place. We enjoyed that much that we will come back for sure. Our hosts are really helpful and lovely people. They did everything to create for us a unforgettable stay.

A cozy villa in a quiet area with all the equipment you might need. Your kids will love the swimming pool with a jumping board! Nearby good wineries. Nice beaches in 20 minutes by car. Highly recommended.

Idyllic retreat

We had a wonderful week at "Il Peperoncino". It was the perfect place for a relaxing holiday and we took full advantage of the peace, seclusion and sunshine! The pool was amazing and we spent many hours on the very comfortable loungers. We enjoyed exploring the area and Rita was able to arrange wine-tastings for us as well as giving us some very good restaurant recommendations. Rita is a great hostess and we would certainly love to return to her charming home in the future. David and Mary

Two week vacation in july

Great villa, suitable for two families with up to ten people. The house is great, the pool us awesome and the garden is huge. Enough pots and pans available. Downside are the muskitos in the morning and evening. But you can prepare for that!!! Hosts are great and have lots of great ideas for dinner and visits.

Gorgeous location and wonderful customer service

We had a wonderful month at Il Pepperoncino! Rita and Claudia were very attentive to any questions and helpful with suggestions for the local area. The property is gorgeous, the highlight being the beautiful swimming pool and meticulous grounds, full of olive and fig trees, grapevines and an incredible view of the Tuscan hills. The small city of Castiglione della Pescaia is charming and fun to visit and the beaches nearby are sandy and beautiful. We also particularly loved Osteria del Mugnaio, in Grilli and just a 5 minute drive from the property - such delicious pizza! This property is perfect for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat and relaxing vacation.

Fabulous Tuscan Holiday

This villa was everything and more than we could have hoped for! A fantastic first impression as you drive through the gates and up to the villa entrance. The beautiful garden full of flowers and herbs and the splendid pool with views of the hills beyond. The villa was so well equipped. Everything was there. We felt so at home. Very comfortable and grand interior and lovely bedrooms. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. we were so sorry to have to leave. Would love to return one day.

Wunderbarer Urlaub in der Toskana

Wir haben mit drei Generationen die Unterkunft gebucht und haben für jedes Alter einen Lieblingsplatz gefunden. Das wunderschöne Grundstück, der große Pool, der angrenzende Garten, die Terrasse, oder auf den Stühlen vor dem Haus, wo auch mittags etwas Wind ging. Die Lage ist gut und schön ruhig gelegen. Zum Einkaufen, Strand, Stadtbesichtigungen ist es nicht weit. Die Stadt Castiglione della Pescaia hat uns ihre schönsten Seiten gezeigt und war am Tag wie auch am Abend einen Besuch wert. Die Vermieterin Rita und ihr Mann waren super. Ob Tipps, Reservierung von Tischen im Restaurant oder auch Hilfe in allen Bereichen. Sie waren unkompliziert zu erreichen und reagierten immer in sehr kurzer Zeit. Wir haben unseren Urlaub genossen und können Sie Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen. Danke dafür!

Eine viel zu kurze Woche in der Toskana

Das Haus entspricht exakt den Beschreibungen. Die Lage eignet sich gut für einen Mix aus Städtetripp (30 min nach Massa Marittima, 1h nach Siena) und Strandurlaub (Strände in 20…30min Entfernung). Wunderschöner Garten. Äussert nette Gastgeber!

Wunderbarer Toskana Urlaub

Wir haben hier einen sehr schönen Urlaub mit unseren erwachsenen Kindern und deren Freunden verbracht. Dank fünf Schlafzimmern und vier Bädern gibt es auch ausreichend Platz. Die sehr große Außenterrasse sowie der große sehr schöne Pool laden zu einem wunderbaren Aufenthalt ein. Auch zum wunderschönen Strand ist es mit dem Auto nur eine 25 Minuten Fahrt. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder hier hin.

Perfect place for relaxing holidays

Lovely place, very quiet suited. It seems like an older house, but with modern standards and a lot of space (we were 4 grownups and 5 children). Kitchen with everything needed. Outside a nice garden, a really big pool (much frequented cause of high temperatures) - we missed nothing. Rita and Guiseppe welcomed us. Best hosts you can imagine. For example Rita not only made reservations for restaurants, she also ordered a birthday cake for our son as a surprise...

Wir genossen unsere Frühlingsferien an diesem schönen Ort. Das Wetter hätte noch etwas Potential nach oben gehabt, aber trotzdem konnten wir die vielen wunderschönen Plätze im grossen und gut gepflegten Garten (Park) geniessen. Das Haus ist gut eingerichtet, man kommt an und die Ferien beginnen sofort. Einziger kleiner Wermutstropfen sind die Sanitär-Anlagen, welche teilweise in die Jahre gekommen sind. Das neu renovierte Badezimmer neben dem Wohnzimmer ist aber super...

Una casetta che è una meraviglia.

Abbiamo passato una settimana indimenticabile. Tutto è iniziato benissimo sin dall'inizio. Claudia, un'amica della propretaria, ci ha dato il benvenuto e ci ha spiegato perfettamente tutta la casa. Anch il cestino di benvenuto con le meravigliose leccornie è stata una bella sorpresa. La casa l'abbiamo trovata in perfette condizioni e pulitissima. In tutte le camere da letto c'erano asciugamani per casa e per la piscina in giardino c'era un armadio pieno d'asciugamani da poter prendere. Il salotto è molto spazioso e in cucina non manca proprio niente. Con i quattro bagni a disposizione, non abbiamo mai avuto tempi di attesa. Il giardino una meraviglia con una piscina grande e molte possibilità di sdraiarsi. Per il nostro cane il giardino e stato il paese delle meraviglie. Intorno alla casa molti posti coperti per poter godersi il sole che sorge fino a dei fantastici tramonti da mozzafiato. La casa vicinissima al mare di Castiglione della pescaia, alla città di Grosseto, a dei bei paesetti come Vetulonia e cè anche la possibilità di andare a provare il vino direttamente dai viticoltori. Non sarà certamente stata l'ultima che andremo in vacanze in questa meravigliosa casa. Grazie a Rita, Claudia e Giuseppe per l'ospitalità che abbiamo ricevuto. Un saluto dalla Svizzera. Luca

Italian paradise!

This is our 3rd time staying in this beautiful villa ( and won’t be our last ) . Each year the owners have made new improvements despite us thinking it just could not be improved! It is extremely well equipped if you are wanting to cook and enjoy the food in the beautiful dining room or in several of the outdoor eating areas. Our 10 & 7 year olds never tire of the fun to be had in the pool and due to the very private location there are no concerns about their whoops and screams of delight! Despite the idyllic, peaceful setting of the villa it is only a short drive to the coast and numerous bars and restaurants. Thankyou once again Rita for letting out your beautiful home.

Magnifique propriété, séjour merveilleux

Quel bonheur de revenir en Toscane et de retrouver cette magnifique maison. Les propriétaires, Rita et Giuseppe sont toujours aussi accueillants, sympathiques et disponibles. Encore un grand merci à tous les deux pour leur gentillesse. La maison est très confortable, elle a même été améliorée par rapport à il y a 5 ans. Elle est très spacieuse, possède l'air conditionné, et est équipée aussi de moustiquaires à toutes les portes et fenêtres. Notre plus grand plaisir reste le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse, avec une vue splendide des collines toscanes. Le jardin est magnifique, la piscine un vrai plaisir après avoir visité la région. Nous avons passé de magnifiques vacances et nous recommandons à tous cette splendide location.

Beautiful property and house in a quiet location, short distance from beaches and charming towns

We've been traveling as two families (4 adults and 5 kids aged 10-16) for Summer vacation for many years and this year's trip to Il Peperoncino overall was the most relaxing and enjoyable. The large property is beautifully landscaped and offers numerous places to spend time as a group, but also to sneak away on your own with a book in the shade of olive trees. The very large pool was the main attraction for the kids, the adults loved the beautiful views, the atmosphere especially at dawn or dusk, as well as the walk up to Vetulonia. The owners Rita and Guisepppe were always most helpful and responsive - we couldn't have asked for nicer hosts.

Unsere Familie (8 Personen mit Kleinkind) genoss eine Woche Ferien im Peperoncino. Ein schönes, gepflegtes Haus mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet! Rita eine wunderbare Gastgeberin sehr hilfsbereit und mit ihren Ausflugs- und Restauranttipps eine grossartige Unterstützung!! Sie und ihr Team haben uns einen tollen Aufenthalt bereitet. We purchased our dream house 'Il Peperoncino' in 2000. When we first bought it, it only had 1 room! We have slowly rebuilt it with patience and care for our whole family to enjoy. We are very happy to share it with guests who have become friends over the years. The essence is 'Il dolce far niente.'

Once you enter the gates, it feels like you have reached THE place to unwind. Maremma is a special part of Tuscany where local traditions are very much alive and the towns around us are unique and unspoilt. The proximity of clean and blue flag beaches made our choice much easier. Sailing in the waters around is a true experience which I hope you will enjoy.
The house had a lot of potential and you will see the results when you come. The wine is divine and our olive oil, no words! We knew we could slowly revive the old olive grove and make pure and delicious olive oil, eat pesticide free fruit and vegetables, cook with our herbs straight from the garden surrounding the house and enjoy La Dolce Vita. A dream come true which we are happy to share with you. 😊
