Bev, You were such a great guest and we so appreciate your review of the property so that future guests know what they have to look forward to. The views are definitely AWESOME from this condo - of the gulf and of the gated, tropical grounds that surround 2 of the 3 pools at this complex as well as the hot tub, some of the BBQ grills and picnic tables, the volleyball court and the many bunnies that hop around this property. If you weren't aware, there is a third pool on the east side of the property which is HEATED in the off-season for our guests who come from October through April to enjoy swimming as well. There is also a fitness facility, a small business center in the office (though we do offer WiFi in this particular unit), and other outdoor games including ping pong and cornhole at the property. We can't wait to have you Come Stay With Us again, Bev. I am shocked by this review as you called and extended your stay and mentioned nothing to us about any concerns or problems. I sure hope that future travelers reading this review will consider our response and ask us any questions they have about the property before turning it down as a possibility since I believe that the weather change is what fully contributed to your review. I will agree that the weather turned just as you arrived in Galveston and there unfortunately is nothing we can do about temperatures, the weather, mosquitos and sunburns. Oh my goodness we are so very sorry that you were not pleased with your stay. The photos accurately depict the property, and states on the map that the beach is .5 miles from the complex. Closer than that - however, is a miniature golf course with batting cages, a go-kart track, axe throwing venue and more as well as a couple of restaurants and a coffee shop - so I suppose walkability is all in perspective as well. There is a small airport near the complex - not a commercial one at all, and a flight or two of private nature either small propeller plane or a helicopter lands or takes off - to read the review makes it seem we are at the end of a runway in Chicago or Atlanta or Houston. One bedroom has a king sized bed and en suite half bath. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed and as our description is clear - there are bunk beds in the hallway and a sleeper sofa in the living room. I verified that the heated pool was heated to 82 degrees (there is only one heated pool) and that the hot tub was functioning during your stay. We know that everyone has a preference when it comes to bedding - some prefer softer, some more firm - but we have not previously had anyone mention the comfort level of the beds in this property - nor did you raise that concern when you extended your stay with us another night. Again - WOW - nothing was raised during your stay which was extended at your request so this review came as a total shock to us. We sure hope that future travelers will ask us any questions about this review before swiping left or right to another property.

We are truly sorry to have been unable to earn your 5 star review. If anything was not to your liking upon arrival (floors) we would have had our housekeeping team return immediately. Also - while we do leave a couple of towels hanging for aesthetics and immediate use - there are always 8 sets of towels (bath, hand and wash) in the drawers and cabinets of the vanities in each of the bathrooms - we are sorry you did not locate these. There is seating at the countertop with bar stools and I agree - the bedroom door does swing a bit - the entire island is on sand, so settling is the normal way of life. We will look at that to make an adjustment as well as the sliding door. The owners of this condo are in the process of considering replacing the flooring throughout the condo and your comments will be shared with them.
