We came down to for a wedding. I was doing both the cakes and needed a full size kitchen and appliances, this place did not disappoint. We also want beach front and access. This place provided it all. Will be making future reservations to stay here again.heasy

Great Vacation!

We love staying at the Moonspinner! This is the first time staying in this condo. The view was great and the accommodations were lovely. It was a little dated but it suited our needs!

Great location/property

Love the location and amenities the moonspinner has to offer. This unit was a bit dated, could use a face lift, & new furniture but overall clean.

Good Place

Clean space right on the beach. Prompt and friendly customer service. Just could have used a few more cleaning supplies, spray for counter, dish soap and more toilet paper but otherwise had a really good stay and enjoyed our time there.

Beautiful, convenient, and quiet

Moonspinner 211B is a wonderful condo!! Beautiful views and super easy access to pool and beach. The complex is off the beaten path and is well maintained. Plenty of room for a family of 4 with a full size washer/dryer and well-equipped kitchen. Even on a busy weekend the condo was sound proof and the beach was not crowded at all. Would definitely book again when we come back!

Quiet getaway

Loved the fact it was next to St Andrews State Park. It was close enough to everything we enjoy at PCB and far enough that we did not have to fight for a spot on the beach. Our girls enjoyed the pool at all times. Apartment had everything we needed to make a meal. Will definitely be back again if opportunity arises. Bring your own beach chairs/toys as they are none on the property.

Great stay

Our stay was very good. Great location. Well stocked kitchen. The unit really need new beds, they are very hard, and I had to buy thick pads to put on the mattresses. The cover on the couch needs to be replaced. Other that that it’s very comfortable. Real Joy, who has the listing, Is very responsive and we’ve rent through them a few times. We we will rent this one again.

Good stay

Condo was clean. The sliding door to the patio from the living room did not open, we let the property manager know and they said they would have someone come out and look at it. Overall was a good stay!

Perfect

The place was perfect for our family. We worried about going in March for fear of a lot of college partiers (good for them, not so good for us, lol) but we were truly on the best (quiet) end of PC. There were a few items in the condo that are probably in need of being replaced. Bedspreads and pans, for sure. But I cannot say enough about location, view, amenities and traffic in our particular area! The blue notebook should probably also be updated to include the best restaurants/pricing/delivery. Overall we would definitely book again!!

Great view

I have a few complaints about staying in 211B. Dryer was broken our entire stay so I had to hang clothes, towels, and wash cloths everyday to dry 😕 Kitchen sink does NOT get hot water bathroom sink in master leaks under cabinet and that’s where the wash rags and towels were stored 🙄 On the upside the view was amazing and the “ugly jean couch” as our kids called it was VERY comfy!

May 26-29th visit

The master bedroom had the hardest bed I have ever slept on. The sink in master bath wouldn’t drain. The toilet paper was the worst I have ever had to use. Cereal from last visitor was still on floor. It’s a great location that needs some updating, and especially for that price. Disappointed.

Beach Vacay

Check in was simple. Staff was very polite. The property is definitely due for some upgrades. It was somewhat clean but could use a good deep cleaning. Adjusting the water in master shower was certainly a task. The master bed is very squeaky even during the smallest little adjustment. Family room furniture is very old and damp. Definitely time for some new furninture! Location of the property was great in regards to beach access, local restaurants, stores etc. There was 0 overcrowding in the pool area and beach.

Moonspinner

Our condo was just satisfactory. The tile floor was filthy. One of the recliners was broke when we got there which I reported to Dawn at Real Joy Vacations. The AC was not working but they got someone out there quickly and all was good. The bathrooms could use some updates. Very dingy and dark. The bedrooms had been updated with porch ceiling and vinyl wood flooring. The plus is that is was not overly expensive. All the maintenance people around the property were very nice.

Family Fun

Reason for poor overall rating; TV in master bedroom not working. Reported to management on first day (Sunday). Told it would be Monday before maintenance would come. Received call back from management that the TV need a refreshed signal that would take about 1 day to correct the issue. Refresh signal did not resolve the issue. Called management again on Monday. Maintenance was supposed to come check it, but never showed up. I hope this not an indication of how issues are handled.

Bad Experience

AC was broken during our ENTIRE 7-day stay, furniture is outdated & dirty, mold in master shower ceiling, construction going on in the building that was NOT listed in the ad, and tile floors were disgusting. The only positive about this condo was the location. Construction was going on all day starting at 7 am. Since we had no AC, all windows/doors were open all day/night letting in all the sounds of the construction. We had 3 minor children with us and temps reached 80 degrees in the condo. When contacting RealJoy Vacations about the AC, a technician came out within a few hours. A part had to be ordered, which caused us to not have AC the entire stay. We talked to several RealJoy customer service agents (the guest service manager never contacted us) throughout our stay, which was a hassle. We requested to move to another condo and were told that was not possible. They did offer additional box fans, which the condo already two. When we asked to be compensated for our troubles, we were offered a $200 refund (8% of our total cost). Apparently, the value they put on guests being comfortable in their room and stay is not worth much, which we find very inhospitable and feel like we were taken advantage of because none of this was posted in the listing. There were many places in the area we could have chosen to stay that had AC and were not under construction. I will never rent from RealJoy vacations again.

Amber, we truly apologize for your less than perfect vacation rental experience at the well located Moonspinner in Panama City Beach. We strive to resolve any issues or answer any questions that are brought to our attention in a timely manner. The construction on a penthouse on the roof was an emergency situation and we were not notified that this would be happening. We appreciate your patience regarding the air conditioning, but a part needed to be delivered in order for the air conditioning unit to be fixed. A $200 refund is almost 20% of the rent paid. At times there are no other Real Joy properties that are open, as they are being rented by other visitors. We will forward your message to property managers so that they may review and assess the issues that you have commented on regarding the furniture, shower, and floor. Thank you for choosing Real Joy.

Beware the management company policies

This condo is in a great location. The primary bdrm mattress is very uncomfortable. The biggest issue though is the cancellation policy by the mgmt co. You reserve and pay on VRBO and then you are sent a list of "rules" including the cancel policy which basically says they keep your money if they CANCEL you. It is onerous. Owners have insurance that covers their losses so the money in this case must be kept by the management company. We only reserved a couple of weeks out so I wasn't as concerned but if you reserve months in advance, I'd consider something with another company. The policy reads "Refunds for events that may render the unit, area and/or amenities unavailable (to include but not limited to; natural or man-made disaster, owner usage, technical glitch, maintenance, pandemic, endemic, travel bans, health concerns, state of emergencies, ordered evacuations, local venue closure, community amenity closure, beach closure and/or the property remaining as a RealJoy Vacations rental at the time of the guests stay) will not be issued under any circumstances." Although I don't think this would be enforceable in some cases, you would have to file a case against them. Sure, trip insurance is a good thing to have if you 'cause' the default but they are saying if the owner wants to use the place and you're not allowed to come, they are keeping your money. This is questionable. I would not rent from this company again for this reason. There are plenty of other options out there
