This property is nothing short of a gem! The decor is gorgeous, the home is beautiful, the location is great, and the flowers outside were breathtaking! We come up to this area all the time, and I will absolutely stay here again with friends or bring my husband and children up with family friends. It is very spacious and plenty of room for all. Gigi was responsive and very kind! Thank you for a great stay, Gigi!

Sweet cottage near beach

We enjoyed our weekend stay. There was plenty of space for our large family in this cute shabby chic cottage. The beach is only a short walk away and we loved exploring the little harbor towns only a short drive away.

Simply magical!

This was our 3rd stay at Gigi’s cottage and it just gets more charming every time! The location is perfect, the gardens beautiful, and the amenities and beds wonderful. We love this magical cottage so much and couldn’t recommend it enough!

Wonderful stay!

Perfect cottage in an amazing location!

Gigi’s house is perfect! It was even more charming in person than in pictures. It’s very large, super clean (especially for being older - it was totally updated!) and was so close to the beach. We will be back!!!

Relaxing stay!

Loved this cottage - it was perfect our family! Decorated very nicely, very comfortable and clean. The garden setting was very relaxing! Kitchen was well stocked with supplies. Beach easily walkable with access to private beach area. We’ll be back for sure!

Amazing Shabby Chic Beach cottage

Wonderful Family New Year Getaway

Our family of 6 adults and one baby stayed here for three nights over the New Year holiday, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, the house felt like a true home away from home. It’s spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches throughout that made our stay incredibly comfortable and memorable.The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials, making it easy for us to prepare family meals. We loved gathering in the cozy living areas, which were perfect for lounging and enjoying quality time together. It’s a lovely little getaway spot! Beautifully decorated and has everything you need. Very cozy and comfy. Just a short walk to Lake Michigan and a short drive to many wineries and breweries! We really enjoyed our time there!

Cutest Cottage

Perfect place for our girls’ weekend! The house is so charming and comfortable. Surrounded by the changing fall leaves, this home is conveniently located with only a short drive to all New Buffalo restaurants, shopping, and the wineries of Berrien County. The kitchen and rest of the house was well-stocked with plenty of towels, extra blankets, and shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in both bathrooms. The family/hearth room was where we spent most of our time, the furniture was very comfortable making for a great place to hang out and watch a movie. We would love to come back in the summer to take advantage of the beach. A favorite stay for sure!

Charming lake house

Lake Michigan cottage with the typical charm of the lake area. Nicely laid out with master on one side of the house with the other two bedrooms on the opposite side. Great decks on the exterior and as always the beaches are spectacular!

Great stay

We had a great visit for 2 nights in this adorable cottage. We loved the setting and arrangement of the house - great indoor and outdoor gathering spaces. The house was clean and well stocked. Lovely private beach super close by. Easy process to check in and out. We would definitely return! Only feedback point was there was an extremely overpowering amount of air fresheners upon arrival so we had to open windows and air out the living room. Also there is some train noise but I think it’s normal for this area.

Beautiful and peaceful cottage

The cottage was gorgeous with plenty of outdoor space for relaxing or dining. So tranquil! And it was beautifully decorated. There were plenty of towels and sheets/bedding and it was nice to have a washer and dryer in the unit. It was a short walk to the association beach, which was never very crowded. Would definitely stay here again!

The photos do not do this place justice. It was such a perfect little oasis for our two families. We have 8 people total - 4 adults & 4 kids ages 3-5 - and it was absolutely perfect. The kitchen was spacious and clean, there was plenty of property to explore, the outdoor shower was ideal for post-beach clean off, the beads were comfortable, and having a separate living room for the adults to hang out in once the kids went to bed could not have been more perfect. Couldn't recommend this property or Gigi (the host) more! Can't wait to come back.

I was born on Long Island, NY and spent many a summer on the North Shore of the island, including Montauk Point. Imagine my joy when I found the Hamptons of the Midwest just 75 minutes from Chicago! Beautiful beaches. Great dining. Romantic evenings. Long sunsets. Peace. Quiet. Perfection.
And so began the story of creating the most amazing storybook cottage and the ideal place to enjoy the easy breezy life Harbor Country offers. I am thrilled to offer you that same experience.

To me, the house is the intersection of all the places I love. . . a little bit of New Orleans, Key West, and Long Island. The front porch surrounded by lush greenery and flowers is reminiscent of a Tennessee Williams play. And that is what drew me here first. . That moody front porch I spotted from the road. Serendipitously, It happened to be for sale. To me it was the quintessential summer cottage. At the time, the property contained two small vintage cottages. I joined them a year later, updated...well everything, and added a large kitchen/family room addition.

I love everything about this house. The hydrangeas that greet your when you drive up, the rooms filled with light that make you wonder if you are inside or out...the vaulted beamed ceilings in almost every room that provide the most airy experience. The private deck that is the most awesome room in the house. I am truly a lover of beautiful things and wanted a place to house them all. I hope my home reflects that. Oh and did I mention how awesome it is to watch a thunderstorm roll in from the beach?? The best entertainment ever:-)
