Hi Michele, I am so sorry that you thought our text exchange was rude, I totally understand that its difficult to tell someones tone over text but it was not my intention to be rude to you at all, what you were sensing was probably my disappointment. I was definitely disappointed that I had to cancel my plans with my children that Sunday night because after having confirmed our meeting time days earlier, you and your group decided to stop at Navy Beach first for drinks/ dinner, causing you to be late, which honestly wasn't fair to me. But thank you for taking good care of the house and I am glad you enjoyed it despite a bumpy start!

This situation was very bizarre for the homeowner as well. Catherine's description of the home is not accurate at all and stems from her dissatisfaction of the property upon her arrival. Shortly after checking in Catherine requested that additional furniture be brought to the home for the kitchen and living room which was a bizarre request when there are 35 photos of the property indicating exactly what to expect. In fact, the kitchen and living room photos are many and were taken from multiple angles indicating exactly the amount of furniture as well as the setup of the furniture. There is no room for chairs in the kitchen, there is no kitchen island for stools and the large screen tv is not conducive for furniture being placed right in front of it. These requests likely arose from the fact that Catherine brought her elderly father(in his 90’s) and wanted the home to accommodate his limitations and needs. If that was her concern, she should have done her due diligence and looked at the photos to see if the home was suitable for his needs. (She admitted to looking at the photos only after I expressed my confusion at her request for more furniture. She also acknowledged that the photos did not show the furniture that she felt was "missing"). Catherine was also notified 2 days prior to her check in that the hot tub heater needed to be replaced and that the required work would likely not be completed during her stay. She expressed some disappointment however she wanted to continue with her reservation but yet posted as if she had no knowledge of the issue. (The hot tub heater is now brand new and working.) Catherine had additional complaints about the quantity of lamps and towels. The homeowner immediately purchased and delivered additional lamps, light bulbs, extension cords, additional bath towels as well as some other amenities in an effort to resolve the issues that could be addressed. Catherine did not even acknowledge receipt of the items despite the homeowner asking if she received them and also asking if there was anything else that could be done to make her stay more enjoyable. Catherine did not respond to any of these messages. Catherine was rude and the small amount of interaction with her made it evident that she is a very privileged individual making it an impossible situation to remedy.
