The view over the lake was stunning and amazing. The living area of the home was spacious. Some items were provided and any others not there (soap, shampoo, some cooking items) could easily be bought at the store a few minutes away. We used the kayaks one day, and having a grill on the deck was very convenient. We would definitely stay again when we come back to visit the area.

The home was exceptionally clean with the most beautiful view of the lake. The Hudson Valley was putting on a fall show of amazing colors. The host provided nice touch points, such as a bottle of wine for our arrival. He also communicated with me promptly and thoroughly. I cannot saw enough good things about this property. We will definitely plan to stay here again!

The house was just as described on the listing. Very clean, beautifully situated right on the lake and stocked with everything you could need. Don was very easy to communicate with and had great suggestions regarding what to see in the area. Sunsets were beautiful and directly in front of the house as if they were choreographed! We had a great visit to Orange Lake. The home was just as described. Easy to communicate with and everything you could need for a relaxing weekend at the lake. We enjoy the kayaks, games in the deck, grilling and the bottle of wine. Close to activities and USMA! Would definitely come back!

Clean and inviting small home on the lake. Outside deck is relaxing but bring bug spray for evening outdoor dinners. The owner is very welcoming. Would stay again.

Perfect Weekend

We had the most relaxing 3 night stay at Don's vacation home. It is spacious and comfortable. Orange Lake right out the back door was a beautiful backdrop all throughout the day. Don gave us great recommendations for local restaurants too.It was the perfect weekend.

Weekend Away

Fortunate to have found the time to spend a long weekend by the lake. Just the right remedy for our usual fast-paced schedules. Caught a beautiful sunset the first evening but every day was just as enjoyable.

Lovely place, lovely stay

The house, yard, and lake were beautiful. Everything was well-equipped, and it was clear it's a house that belongs to a real family and not corporation. The kitchen was well stocked (there was even a blender!), bedding was plentiful, and when the owner discovered there were no beach towels he brought some over. Even on a rainy weekend we had beautiful views, and with the lake so close we could dash out to swim and paddleboard whenever there was a break in the rain. Great experience overall!

Beautiful memory in orange lake

This house is even better than the pictures and contains everything you need for a short trip around New York. My friends and I were in awe of the place and everything was just wonderful. We will be back again.

Having grown up in the Hudson Valley (specifically Wappingers Falls), I’ve always had a deep appreciation for the beauty, community, and lifestyle this region offers. This home’s central location keeps us close to family, friends, and the many places that make the Hudson Valley so special to us.

Every time we’re kayaking or relaxing on a boat on Orange Lake, it feels as if we’re tucked away in the northern Catskills or Adirondack Mountains — even though we’re just 65 miles north of New York City. Orange Lake truly is one of southern New York’s best-kept secrets, and we’re thrilled to share it with our guests.
