Discover the loft apartment by WP Relais in the 17th-century Palazzo Berardi. Situated in the heart of Florence, this unique space is located on the "piano nobile", the main floor of the historical building, and extends over two levels for a total of 220 square metres. The neighbourhood offers a wide range of services, from luxury boutiques such as Gucci, Ralph Lauren and the WP Store, as well as supermarkets, pharmacies and banks. The privileged location on Via della Vigna, just a 2-minute walk from the River Arno and 10 minutes from Piazza della Signoria, makes the loft even more special. Via della Vigna also intersects with the famous Via Tornabuoni, one of Florence's most prestigious shopping streets.
The WP Relais apartment can accommodate up to four people and is a true architectural gem. The décor is characterised by an antique design, with inlaid parquet flooring and a wood coffered ceiling adorned with original gold leaf. The majestic windows illuminate the 8-metre-high walls, decorated with frescoes that have been restored and repositioned on panels. At the entrance there is a large table, while the other side of the room features a TV corner with a sofa that converts into a double bed. On the lower level, a spacious, fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a bright window and shower complete the layout. The two levels are connected by a wooden spiral staircase which leads to the large mezzanine bedroom complete with a double bed and a spacious walk-in wardrobe.

The spiral staircase was very old and creaky. It was impossible to go into the loft or use the restroom at night without waking the entire house. Partying in the street was loud in the apartment at 4:00 am. All and all. Good accommodation

Hi Timothy, Thank you for spending your time for leaving this comment,we are so sorry that you have some issues with finding the parking,we understand that it’s not easy for a foreign person and not to manage,we are happy to help people with vehicle and we made an agreement with a private parking very close in order to get a discounted price,unfortunately the day of your arrival there were some works in the city and you had to make a one way street to access the garage ,unfortunately we weren’t aware of the situation cause they start making works without notice. Most amazing stay in Florence !

The flat is in the perfect location. Very stylish apartment, with lots of room to spread out. Easy walk everywhere including the train station. Quiet street, great restaurants nearby (not the touristy ones!). Highly recommend this spot. Kept our luggage stored while we toured around in the last day.

Wonderful place with everything you need!

This is a great place, nice, clean, great location away from the commercial center but very close 5 min walking distance . Prompt response, good info, organized, very clean, good towels, all the basic coffee, tea, sugar ready . Comfortable for a family of 4. Pietro was very responsive and courteous.

Perfect location in great city

My wife and I spend 5 days in Florence and this unit was perfect. Gaia answered all of our questions and was very helpful. The apartment has more space than you would ever need. Centrally located to everything you could want to see in Florence. Easiest checkin process I’ve had before. Highly recommend.

The loft was spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed during our stay. Near the bathroom there is a washing machine with soap ready to be used. Pietro and Gaia were kind and helped us solve an electricity issue.

Loved our stay!

We are a family of four, with two boys, ages nine and 10. We absolutely loved this apartment, couldn’t get over looking at the beautiful ceiling. The living area was very spacious. The location is perfect, within walking distance of the main train station, and an easy walk to Ponte Vecchio, Duomo and many fabulous restaurants and high end shops. On the street just behind the apartment and connected to the apartment building is a wonderful restaurant called Parione-would definitely recommend a meal in the basement wine cellar.

Loved our stay in Firenze

Loft was huge and easily could hold 6 people, we were only 3. Kitchen had pretty much everything to Cook with, including oils and spices which was really nice. There is even a dishwasher in a large refrigerator. Conveniently located by the bridge and a bunch of restaurants and gelato shops. Also a short walk from the train, about 10 minutes. Easy communication with the owner and check in at his store is half a block away. Just know there is a spiral staircase to get upstairs, as in the pictures, which may not be for everyone. Would stay there again.

everything was perfect

Probably the most beautiful and romantic apartment we’ve had the pleasure to stay in. We were greeted on the street below the apartment and when the host put the key in the door he looked at us and said “are you ready?”. All we can say is wow, the place exceeded all our expectations, from the stunning ceiling, loft bedroom, spiral staircase, harvest table for 12 and beautiful windows. There was a large full kitchen and the bathroom was modern. The apartment is conveniently located in the heart of Florence only minutes away from the Duomo and other attractions. We had an amazing stay and you will too if you choose this home for your next visit.

Great location

The location for this flat could not be better. Everything is within a 10 minute walk. There are over 30 steps leading to the property so it’s a pain if you have a lot of luggage like we did. The air conditioning wasn’t great but Florence was having record heat. The hot water in the bathroom also didn’t work but we didn’t realize until the day after we checked in and it was late at night. A cold shower was actually refreshing. I’m sure these are easy fixes and we would stay here again…maybe just with a little less luggage.

Hi Emmy ,thank you for sharing this comment,the apartment has always been booked for recently , in Florence there is a heat wave that lasts from the end of May and evidently the machines have been under pressure after 2 years of pandemic.In order to get in it takes two flights of stairs ,I know that can be painful to carry the luggages up ,but it’s the price to get the charm of an original reinassance space You are always welcome GaiaΠetro

Fabulous property

Amazing place to stay, even better than the pictures suggest. Great location to explore Florence and at the end of the day, it was great to have somewhere special to chill. Forgot any negative comments about the staircase, it added to the charm and character. Waking up each morning under that ceiling was very special.

Wonderful location, the property is beautiful, and the owners were extremely helpful. We really enjoyed our stay in Florence. The wifi for the keyless entry had its moments and the staircase to the apartment is challenging with luggage. In sum our stay exceeded expectations.

Really unique and spacious property and in a perfect location-walkable to everything. Good air conditioning, which was appreciated during really hot days. Very easy access and communication with hosts. Overall the apartment was clean, comfortable and full of charm..creaky stairs and all!

Amazing Loft In Heart of Florence

Loved this property. Very open and spacious with bedroom upstairs in loft area with huge closet and a desk. Downstairs has queen size fold out in living room with a total of 3 comfortable sofas (including fold out). You are literally steps away from the river, the Duomo, world class shopping and the best of Florence. The dinning room table was so large you almost want to host a dinner party at this hip and inviting space. This will be our go to anytime we are in Florence. I highly recommend the restaurants they suggest on their things to do flip chart. All were amazing.

Unique and so special!

Couldn't have loved our stay at this fabulous apartment more! The stairs from the loft are noisy- but part of the charm. If you have light sleepers- late night bathroom visits could be a disruption. However, in a city of small apartments, this large, special unit is fantastic! And, the AC was great!

Perfect location, creaky stairs.

Overall the apartment is great, and I would stay there again. However the stairs to get to the loft are old and creaky. My wife ended up sleeping on the couch because she was afraid to go up and down. I weigh two times what she weighs and enjoyed an empty king bed. Overall it is a minor issue but the stairs probably should be replaced.

Massive apartment

Large modern/renaissance apartment in a great area. Somewhat quirky/inconvenient layout with very loud spiral staircase to loft with bathroom on first floor.

Gorgeous flat in Florence

If you want to stay "in the heart of the city" in a spacious flat with wonderful ambiance, this is the place to stay. If we can, we will stay here again on our next trip to Florence. Need I say more?
