I chose this neighborhood because it offers the perfect balance between being in the heart of Florence and enjoying a more authentic, residential atmosphere. Piazza Indipendenza is just a short walk from the Duomo and the city’s main museums, yet it is quieter and less crowded than the busiest tourist streets.

What I love most is that you can explore everything on foot during the day — historic sites, markets, cafés, and restaurants — and then return to a peaceful setting in the evening. It allows guests to experience Florence not only as visitors, but as if they were living here.

What truly makes this property unique is its rare combination of space, historic character, and privacy in the heart of Florence.

At 160 sqm, it offers generous living areas that are uncommon in the historic center, allowing guests to relax comfortably rather than simply “stay” in a small city apartment. The home is located in an elegant historic Florentine palace with an elevator — a feature that is quite rare in buildings of this period.
