Great Condo & Great Location

Great condo. Affordable compared to other properties in the same area. Location was perfect and convenient to restaurants & shops. Condo was very clean, had great furnishings, decor and linens. Felt more like home than a rental to be honest. You can tell that its well maintained. Having access to beach chairs, umbrella, sand toys, floats, nets, flashlights, boogie boards, etc., saved us money and we had less to pack and take home. The owner was great to work with too. Our family can't wait to come back!

Enjoyed the Condo and Area

This was a very nice condo. Nicely decorated and very comfortable beds. The master bedroom was large, but no closet. Plenty of dresser space. Being on the beach was perfect, just beautiful. We needed to contact Kristie about a small electrical problem and she was right on it. Very responsive before, during and after the rental period. I would certainly recommend this unit to other couples for a winter get away.

The living furniture was out of date & old. The couch cushions were re-stuffed & mounded in the center. It was uncomfortable to sit on & the fabric was scratchy. The balcony furniture was cheap. The master bedroom bed literally fell apart at the touch. I was constantly having to put pieces of the footboard back together. The mattress is unbelievably hard. The half bath in the master bedroom is almost unusable, it's so tiny and I stand 5'3, and you have to step up to get into it. Makes nighttime bathroom use very difficult & distruotube for all. The windows are old & need replaced. You can hear everything & the neighbors cigarette smoke could be smelt in the room my kids were in. The shower floor stood in water 2-3" deep & I had to plunge it daily. The ice maker would hardly make enough ice for the food bag to take drinks on the beach. We were awakened several mornings by the maintenance lady on the premises running a blower on the walk way around the condo at 8am. The wifi router didn't work. I needed to answer work emails and had to make my personal cell phone a hotspot. I used all my data the whole week there. The property needs some attention and some upgrading. I wasn't impressed.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at our condo. I am sorry that your stay didn't meet your expectations. You and your family would probably be better suited in $4k a week property rather than an affordable low-density property on the beach for families. The living furniture is not outdated & old. It is also, not cheap! Most of the furniture is less than 3 years old as we redecorate regularly. Being in a costal setting, we incorporated the coastal colors without being to "beachy". Exactly like the pictures. The sofa is not something you would typically have in a rental as it's a much higher quality linen with down stuffing. Additional support has been added so that the cushions are more firm as most people prefer not to “sink” when they sit. The balcony furniture is appropriate for a 12’x6’ balcony. You just can’t have large oversized patio furniture in that space. I would also like to address your concerns regarding the bed that was “falling apart at the touch”. A guest just before you sat on the footboard of the bed and a few of the spindles popped out of the footboard. We had to make temporary repair during the turnaround until it could be properly repaired/replaced. This was more of a cosmetic issue rather than the bed was just falling apart. As far as the comfort of the mattress, you were the second guest who slept on the $3k Stearns & Foster mattress. The half-bath in the master is exactly as advertised – it’s a half-bath. You also stated that you were awakened by maintenance blowing the sidewalks. They have to perform these functions prior to people using the common areas – usually between 9-10 am. We can’t let the property go because people are on vacation. When you are in a concrete building, between two other concrete buildings, you will hear some outside noise. I can assure you that in the 15+ years we’ve owned the condo, we have NEVER EVER had outside cigarette smoke come in the bedrooms. Perhaps you left the balcony door open? The icemaker makes so much ice, guest often turn it off. Maybe someone raised the arm to disable. I also provide ice packs for the also provided cooler. Most rentals don’t provide extras like that BTW. The WiFi wasn’t working when you arrived because we had a storm w/ power outage the night before you arrived. This required a router reset which I walked you through. In one of the 36+ text messages we exchanged, you stated that it worked after reset. Best of luck on your next vacation.

Wonderful Condo!!

Our stay could not have been more comfortable. The condo has a nice view of the beach and was beautifully decorated. The beds were very comfortable and the condo is stocked with everything one would need to cook a full meal. Also provided for your use are beach chairs, boogie boards and other beach toys. The condo is located within walking distance to the Hangout and shopping. I will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone. The condo owner was wonderful to work with.

Relaxing Spring Break Beach Therapy at a Great Condo!

I needed every minute of Beach Therapy that I could get in Gulf Shores this Spring Break! Kristie's condo was the ideal location and a perfect fit for my daughters and me. We woke up every morning to a beautiful beach view off of the balcony & then either relaxed on the beach or walked down to the shops and restaurants. The weather wasn't too cooperative as it was unseasonably cold, but we still loved our time in GS. When we got too cold, we sat on the couch with a beautiful view and played games or read. My 8-year-old loved the smart TV with YouTube and all her favorite kids' channels. Kristie had everything in perfect working order and the condo was spacious enough and incredibly clean. The only negative thing that I would say is that the walls are very thin. If you are a light sleeper, earplugs might be the key to a great night's sleep. The beds are super cozy, but you can certainly hear the street noise and water running in the pipes from other units. This is not a deal-breaker for me though & I will certainly book this condo again. It is the most reasonably priced condo with a balcony and a view that I have found in the Gulf Shores area.

Wonderful condo. Can’t wait to come back!

My husband and two other friends rented this condo for the NCAA Volleyball tournament and it couldn't have worked out better! It was exactly as the pictures showed, very clean and quite. Everything went smoothly during our entire stay. Very clean unit and nicely decorated. We loved sitting on the balcony catching the ocean breeze and listing to the waves. So relaxing! The location is perfect & convenient to attractions, restaurants, shopping, Wal-Mart and grocery stores. Easy access to major highways. It was so easy working with Kristie. My questions were answered promptly. We will definitely recommend to family & friends and look forward to our next visit! Thank you for sharing your condo with us.

Great place to stay, perfect for families!!!

I’ve been staying at this condo for the last 3 years and stay at least a couple times a year. My family and I love staying in this unit. Kristie is a pleasure to work with and very helpful. We usually have 4 adults and 2 kids and this condo is plenty of room & comfortable for family of 6. The décor beautiful and the quality of furniture, bedding and linens are nicer than most condo rentals. Feels more like home and it’s well cared for (and very clean). The king size beds in the bedrooms is very comfortable and kitchen is well stocked with everything you might need. We love the size & location of this condo. Not too crowded, easy to park and get your things loaded/unloaded as you are right off the elevator. It’s nice not having to wait on the elevator like at large complexes. Gulf House condo complex is on the beach and you are able to walk right out without a long walk. Having small kids, being able to get everything down to the beach and setup is important. It’s nice having the beach chair & umbrella rental option right in front of the condo. We usually eat in instead of going out and use the grills & cookout by the pool. The pool is not huge like a resort type, but very appropriate for the complex and never over crowded. We come for the beach anyway, so not having a huge pool is not a big deal for us. My husband likes to fish and having the fishing pier close is a plus. Occasionally, we walk to Sea-N-Suds or the Hangout to eat. The Hangout & Pink Pony Pub is a great place to listen to live music. We will continue to come back because you can’t beat the location or the price!
