It is a really lovely place to stay for a quiet, relaxing holiday. Check-in was seamless via a key left in a safe at the entrance gate. The kitchen is fully equipped. Everything you need for a great vacation is there. The pool was always good for a refreshing dip. We'd love to come back.

A great villa in a great location - if you are looking for peace and quiet. The views are amazing, the private pool was a total bonus. Great facilities, wifi for a 10 year old invaluable. Great kitchen equipment. The pool was cleaned during our stay and the local property team always at hand if required. Although they were not as the property was in great shape for our stay. Thank you all.

Lovely stay

The villa had everything we needed for a lovely relaxing break. The location is a little isolated so a car is definitely needed, and with it being so hot walking to village wasn’t a good idea! Armenoi is a few mins drive away, Kiosky is a lovely little coffee shop with gorgeous treats. Kalyves has a lovely beach, 10 mins drive with beach bars and restaurants. For some really big waves, we headed to Episkopi beach. Lake Kournas is worth a visit too (but go early). The pool was a welcome relief from the very hot sun! As a family of 4, with 2 teenage girls we had a lovely time.

1 week holiday in July

A lovely villa tucked away amongst olive and citrus groves with amazing views towards the village, Neo Chorio, and the White mountains. The pool and garden was thoroughly enjoyed by us all. The house was well equipped; the air conditioning worked well and was a necessity. It was an easy walk into the village, which we did most evenings. It didn't seem to be very touristy in the local villages, which was lovely. Plenty of small shops, bakeries etc. so no need to find a big supermarket. We saw quite a bit of the area, but would love to come back one day to continue our explorations. Thank you for having us.

Perfectly private peaceful rural villa

A little difficult to find despite great instructions (we were following Google Maps!) but definitely away from the hustle and bustle which is just what we wanted. Beautifully equipped villa which felt immediately like a home. Delightful pool area just right for lazing all day, and plenty of shade if needed, plus the gorgeous view of the mountains. Only 5 minutes drive from couple of villages with nice little eateries, and 12 minutes or so from Kalives, a small coastal resort with some lovely restaurants overlooking the sea . There was also a good supermarket there. We had a drive around some of the local villages which was interesting too. We had a couple of small issues which were dealt with swiftly and with good grace by the owners. All in all it was just what we were looking for in a week to escape the UK weather and completely chill.

Perfect!

What a lovely villa! So clean and welcoming. Thanks to clear directions we found it easily, even in the dark! The villa is located in a lovely, quiet spot. Surrounded by orange trees, it’s really tranquil. There is a villa behind but you really aren’t aware of it as the privacy is so good, and as a private residence it was so quiet we didn’t even really know if anyone was there! So don’t be put off, it still feels very secluded. The villa worked well for us as a family of 4; plenty of room, equipped with everything you could need and the pool was perfectly maintained and a pleasure to use. I have to mention the views as they are just incredible! The villa looks out towards the white mountains and they provide such a wonderful backdrop. The local village has lots to offer in terms of food/drinks and a little shop and the next town on has even more. The villa is such a good base to explore Crete from, everywhere is so accessible from it. We met the House Managers during our stay, and they were lovely, full of information on places that made our holiday even more special. Thank you and we will definitely return!

Kreta 2025

Wir hatten einen schönen Urlaub in einem gepflegten Haus bei dem es an nichts gefehlt hat. Die Lage in mitten von Orangenplantage hat uns sehr gut gefallen und war ideal als Ausgangspunkt für unsere Ausflüge.Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen.

Nous déconseillons !

Maison bien située, jolie vue et plutôt agréable MAIS problèmes d’eau à répétition, très mal pris en charge par les gérants qui sont soit absents soit débarquent sans prévenir et expliquent que c’est indiqué dans le contrat qu’il peut y avoir des coupures d’eau. Literie ancienne de mauvaise qualité. Bref on a eu du mal à se laver et on a mal dormi… forcément personne ne souhaite cela pour ses vacances !

Il est dommage de voir cette critique qui est très différente de toutes nos autres critiques qui ont 4 ou 5 étoiles. Nous sommes désolés que ces clients disent qu'ils n'ont pas apprécié leur séjour à la villa, mais ce qu'ils prétendent à propos de l'eau et des gérants n'est pas correct. Il y avait une coupure d'eau générale au moment de leur séjour et la pression de l'eau était basse à d'autres moments. Les gérants ont fait savoir aux invités qu'ils viendraient à la villa avec un plombier pour voir s'ils devaient faire quelque chose pour augmenter la pression de l'eau. Une deuxième pompe a été ajoutée mais les invités n'étaient toujours pas satisfaits. Dès le début, ces invités étaient difficiles et nous avons senti qu'ils voulaient juste récupérer de l'argent même si la villa est d'un excellent rapport qualité-prix. Depuis leur séjour, un grand réservoir d'eau a été installé à la villa au cas où il y aurait une large zone coupée à l'approvisionnement en eau qui est hors de notre contrôle (comme cela arrive parfois dans les pays chauds en été). Nous voulons que tous nos clients passent de merveilleuses vacances sur la magnifique île de Crète, et à en juger par toutes les autres critiques, ils le font. It is unfortunate to see this review which is very different to all our other reviews which have either 4 or 5 stars. We are sorry that these guests say that they didn't enjoy their stay at the villa but what they claim about the water and managers is not correct. There was a general area water cut at the time of their stay, and the water pressure was low at other times. The managers let the guests know that they would come to the villa with a plumber to see if they to do anything to make the water pressure higher. A second pump was added but the guests were still not satisfied. From the very start these guests were difficult and we felt that they just wanted to get money back even though the villa is excellent value. Since their stay, a large water tank has been installed at the villa just in case there is an area wide cut to the water supply which is beyond our control (as happens occasionally in hot countries in the summer). We want all of our guests to have a wonderful holiday on the amazing island of Crete, and judging by all of the other reviews, they do.

Belle maison mais...

Avons passez un très bon séjour dans cette maison. Maison propre et très bien équipée. La vue est magnifique. Elle se situe dans un environnement campagnard et à quelques minutes en voitures d'un village agréable ainsi que d'une petite ville côtière. Belles plages , petits restaurants et activités pour enfants. Une chose importante à savoir, il y a un couple d'anglais qui habitent la maison juste derrière. Ils ont deux chiens et des coqs. Les chiens aboient toutes les 30 minutes durant la nuit et nos 3 premières nuits ont été très mauvaise. Nous en avons ensuite parlé aux gestionnaires de la villa (Steve et Jane) qui ont fait le nécessaire pour que ça n'arrive plus, merci à eux. Concernant les coqs, ils chantent à quelques mètres de la maison et de 04:30 à 07:00.

Wundervoller erholsamer Urlaub

Die Villa hat eine traumhafte Lage. Wir konnten bequem zu Fuß zum nächsten Ort Armenoi laufen, um die tolle griechische Küche zu genießen. Für weitere Ziele haben wir einen Mietwagen benutzt. Dieser ist für den gesamten Aufenthalt unverzichtbar, allein schon für die Einkäufe. In der Villa ist alles notwendig vorhanden, um selbst zu kochen. Für diejenigen, die Probleme mit den Zirpen haben, gibt es sogar Ohropax. Wir empfehlen die Villa gerne weiter. Natascha, Michael und Kinder

Bel emplacement pour rayonner entre Réthymnon et la chanee

Maison à la campagne parfaitement équipée rien ne manque et surtout les orangers sont très appréciables pour le ximo portokali ( jus d’orange frais quotidien matinal!!!) Emplacement idéal pour visiter toute cette partie située entre Réthymnon et la Canee mais aussi La montagne magnifique Très proche des plages et village de kalives où les tavernes sont bonnes simples et bon marché Voisins tres discrets Un grand merci aux managers jane et Steven qui ont été très disponibles et gentils Best regards et glad to se you again

Belle villa au calme avec une belle vue sur les montagnes et à 5 mns de la mer.

Etat standard pour le pays. Juste problème d'eau à répétition. Pas de pression ou d'eau chaude
