Just short from utter crap

- The shower is leaking, inundating the bath room every time you take a shower. We informed the manager who said he would look for someone to fix it. Noone came to fix it, nor did we get any further response. - There is no closet, just a cheap cloth rail. - Internet stopped working for about 2 hours. It had to be reinitiatied. - The are no windows that can be opened, only two that can be tilted, which was unfortunated considering the tropical climate inside the flat. Very noisy, particularly during the night. (construction workds nearby, noise of slamming dors (!), waste disposal, bars, etc.) - No contact person on site Overall just short of a one star-rating. To get the full one star rating, the flat could have been far away from the city centre, wich it wasn't. On the contrary. It is in the ancient heart of the town. It could alsly have been even more dirty and run down. Still some room for deterioration.

BEST POSITION!

top position! the apartment is small but nice, easy to retrieve the keys from the keyboxes. Excellent cleaning, only that you would expect more from an apartment described and photographed. living area and where to sleep as in the photo, we had studio flat 2 with parrots. excellent remote management for problems inside the apartment, he would replace the apartment for us, but we told us to avoid it, which was not an insurmountable problem (there was a leak from the shower which flooded the bathroom and consequently the tiles moved, so it's probably been going on for a while). The bathroom is really small, not even the door that beats in the toilet opens, the size of the sides is about 60x40 cm, really mini. the shower narrow but definitely better than the toilet, mini sink. for such a well-kept apartment, perhaps the bathroom could have been better. the mini kitchen is facing the bed, so we didn't use it and it has two flying plates.

Un séjour magnifique

L'appartement est très bien situé, tous les lieux d'intérêt, tout comme la plage, sont accessibles à pied. Le personnel est vraiment accueillant et sympatique. La superficie de l'appartement n'est pas grande, mais convient pour trois personnes (deux adultes et un enfant. La cuisine est bien équipée, il y a tout ce qu'il faut - la vaisselle, la cuisinière, le bouilloire, un micro-ondes, ect., on trouve même du sel, du sucre et de l'huile végétale. La nuit on dort tranquillement, pas de bruit de l'extérieur. Aucune objection concernant la propreté. Rapport qualité/prix imbattable! Je recommande vivement cet appartement, surtout pour les familles avec un enfant.

A minha experiência

O apartamento é ideal para um casal com uma criança pois não é muito amplo. Como não tem garagem e não há estacionamento na rua, é necessário deixa do carro num parque pago (6€ por dia) a 10 minutos do apartamento. Tem muitas janelas e de manhã o que faz com que acordemos assim que i sol nasce porque fica com imensa luz no apartamento. O anfitrião é bastante simpático! A localização e excelente, mesmo no centro do funchal.

Pelourinho Apartment is very comfortable, the bed is comfortable (has more bed linen inside wardrobe), the kitchen has enough equipment to cook something (with fridge, microwave, cooker, etc), the living room is also very comfortable and the bathroom it's good. The apartment is very close to the best streets in town, there are a lot of supermarkets and restaurants near the house, the Mercado dos Lavradores and Avenida do Mar is about 10 minutes walk. I would go back again!

Holiday in Funchal

Pelourinho II is an apartment located at second floor of a block in old city center of Funchal.- a very good location from my point of view, close to Teleferico Funchal for Monte and Tropical Garden), good restaurants in the neighbourhood and close to a supermarket. Communication with host was easy and fast, we got all informations we needed, also we appreciated the way we were welcomed. We recommend this place, it has all you need for a relaxing vacation.

Estadia bem situada com espaço amplo até 4 pessoas em que 2 dormem na cama e outras 2 dormem numa cama sofá, água quente suficiente só para duas pessoas e os outras tem de esperar cerca de uma hora, toalhas do duche só são trocadas uma vez por semana, mesmo assim gostei muito dado a sua localização com ar condicionado e mini bancada de cozinha suficiente.

Impeccably clean, great price, perfect location in the centre of town. 5 mins walk to two supermarkets and close to buses, Teleférico, seafront etc. Highly recommended!
