The cottage is set on a small private road with stunning views of the Devon countryside and Dartmoor. It has a lovely garden with lots of birds visiting it. The house is very spacious for a couple and suits a family. All local facilities are a drive away to Ivybridge although you could walk it in about 20 minutes along the road. We loved walking out from the house on to the moors. It is peaceful with some minor noises from railway and Devon Express way. The house was very clean and tidy. Covid-19 restrictions mean that a lot of the games, books and DVDS were not available but we were informed of this in advance. There is only one bathroom plus WC which was ok for us but not so good for families. There was a present surprise for us on arrival to make it extra special. One of the best.

One of the best. Very good quality of equipment, and the rooms very clean. The location is quiet. The view over the countryside from the lounge is outstanding. One can just spy the sea on a good day. Also watch the birds feeding. Some nice walks directly from the cottage, also along the river in Ivybridge. Lovely cottage, super clean, stunning views towards the sea with beaches just 25-30 mins drive, while Dartmoor is just a two minute walk up behind the house. Very well equipped, the only thing that could improve our experience is a king or super king rather than a double bed but we would happily return to this home from home. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Beacon Cottage, even though the weather wasn't at it's best. The views from the cottage are stunning and on a clear day you can even see the sea. The cottage is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Primarily we were in Devon to visit family in Plymstock, so the location for us was ideal.
