Karen & Dave are very friendly, helpful, and professional. Perfect place for my little family. Ample supplies in kitchen, bathroom, living room, and bedrooms. Everything was very clean! We have no complaints. We will definitely be coming back to this place whenever we visit Prescott again!

The hosts, Karen & Dave, were wonderful. We were greeted on our arrival with fresh flowers and a small welcome gift was in the fridge. The Casita is a wonderful place to stay - a perfect retreat to enjoy Prescott. Karen has filled the casita with all kinds of material about where to go and what to see in the local area. The casita is beautifully decorated, cozy, and has absolutely everythind you need to ensure we had a great stay. We will be back for a longer stay for sure!

The host David was wonderful! So helpful and accomodating. The Casita is a true home away from home! Everything you could want was there and even some things you didnt know you needed! Beautiful little trail and garden walking area, loved the grill and patio area. Such a nice place to just relax and feel comfortable. All the amenities you could want. Highly recommend!

What an amazing property! We visited in early october and the weather was lovely. I'd love to see it at different times throughout the year ro see all the critters running around.The hosts were wonderful and checked in with us during our stay to ensure all was well.The beds could use some updating in the casita property, but everything else was stellar.Thanks to Dave and Karen

Everything in the house was nice. We didn't like or realize it was so close to the road with lots of traffic. We were not left alone to enjoy the place to ourselves and there was no yard for our dogs (which we did know) but it still made the stay difficult for us.Other than that it was nice!

Hosts were great. Attentive and friendly. The place was clean, comfortable (the bed was very co. Great mattress and comfy sheets. Best of any VRBO so far. Not a complaint just a note for anyone tall or big is the space between the walls and the bed is very tight. Shower was hot and powerful. Patio and garden was nice. Kitchen was well equipped. Would recommend staying here. Enjoyed it

We were delighted with the cottage for our 7 day stay in Sept. The description in the listing lives up to everything we found while there. Obvious quality in everything from furniture, linens, décor, and grounds. You can tell Dave has experience as a bldg contractor! Grounds are well lit at night and shaded by day. Creek is nice but seasonal. Easy access to downtown Prescott. Frys grocery close by. Cabin is well insulated from street noise and even the Yavapai County Fair nearby did not distrub us. Great hosts. Great value. Pet friendly. Already reserved our next trip!

The house was perfect for our visit. It had everything that we needed and some! The owners were wonderful at communication and offered a lot of extra information about the town. The house is a little tricky to get to, but was worth it.Definitely plan on staying here again.

Fantastic stay, owners great at thinking about the little things

Stayed with my partner and our dog. Owners did a great job communicating with us on check-in procedure and and went above and beyond with local hiking and food recommendations (food was incredible!). The cabin was cozy and we were impressed with the owners considerations of the small details. Would definitely visit again!

From start to finish, this VRBO experience was top-notch! The hosts were absolutely amazing—friendly, responsive, and thoughtful in every way. Communication was seamless, and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. The property itself was spotless, cozy, and incredibly inviting. The location couldn’t have been better—peaceful and tucked away, yet still close to everything I needed. The grounds were simply stunning, with beautiful landscaping and a magical little wooded area that felt like a hidden retreat with a lovely hammock to rest and relax in. The outdoor patio and grill were a major highlight. It was the perfect setup for enjoying meals outside and unwinding in the evening. One of the sweetest surprises was how welcoming the hosts were to my cat. Not only were they completely accommodating, but they even left a little cat toy for him—such a thoughtful touch that made me feel truly at home. I can't recommend this place highly enough. I will definitely be back!

Perfect location near downtown Prescott

We were in Prescott for my youngest child’s college graduation. And the casita was just right for us. It was close to everything we needed to get to, had all the confits of home and so many thoughtful special details to make our stay extra comfortable. We loved every day we got to spend there and would highly recommend a stay at Karen and Dave’s quiet little oasis near the town center.

We purchased the property in 2016 with the help of the previous owners who'd owned it for nearly 40 years! Dave and I are both in Housing: Construction and Sales. With both of us self-employed in the housing industry we lost about everything (except each other!) in the crash. After business losses, bankruptcy, IRS audit, short sale and deaths in the family, we moved to Prescott, nearly on a whim. We rented from another couple we just met who believed in us and loaned us the down payment for this parcel of land. We started thinking about the possibilities of such a cute property and did a little work on the Log Cabin but tried to keep it mostly intact, even with its funky fixes by other owners and tenants. We renovated the Cottage down the lane in a big way (#883663), opening the floor plan and adding a garden.
The Log Cabin appears to have been owned (and possibly built) by a man who was a piano tuner and salesman. His wife worked as a bookkeeper for an attorney. They had one daughter who eventually taught dance in Los Angeles but returned to Prescott to care for her father in his last days and bury him in the local cemetery next to his wife (researched at Sharlot Hall Museum).

We really liked the location near the Fairgrounds and Downtown (but not too close) and the seasonal creek. With all the large elms, locusts and cottonwoods, we knew we wanted to preserve and improve upon this little park-like setting. The owners were thrilled with our vision and were finally able to part with it, knowing we would be good stewards to the land and the creek which adds to the water supply in Prescott.

この宿泊施設の特徴

Dave had a great vision for the Casita and did most of the work himself. It was a long, expensive haul! We originally thought we would decorate it in a Mexican motif. My vision came later with a Native American theme to honor the indigenous people of the West. We enjoyed furnishing meeting people and buying from their personal collections and from auctions, antique stores, yard sales, thrift stores and estate sales. It's so wonderful to see so many works of art, antiques and collectibles and remember the people and stories that go with them. It's been heartwarming, magical and humbling to repurpose someone else's beloved or handmade items!
