wonderful stay

This is our second stay at Casa Carolina and we really enjoyed it, the view, the location, the garden and the house itself is unique, Stephen's support was always excellent and his demeanor was extremely friendly, we'd love to come back until next time.

A wonderful Spanish escape

We had such a lovely stay at Casa Carolina. It is in a great location, with a few minutes drive to the beautiful village of Frigliana or 15mins from the seaside. The gardens were our favourite feature with wonderful views towards the mountains providing an idyllic backdrop. The only recommendation to the owners would be to provide a few more household basics such as bin liners and washing up pads. This didn't distract from the overall experience however which was great. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Una casa que esta muy vieja y sin ninguna comodidad

La casa esta muy vieja y necesita bastantes reformas, tiene muchas cosas rotas ( tengo fotos) La cocina es francamente vieja, sin comodidades los cubiertos muy viejos y en unas baldas en el suelo, por lavavajillas nos dejo una especie de microondas y donde solo cabian 4 tazas y 4 vasos y SOLO 3 pastillas de lavavajillas para 5 dias, el jabon para lavar los cubiertos un bote con una 6 parte y relleno con agua por lo que en un dia se acabo eso no limpiaba nada , en los baños no hay jabon ni siquiera para lavarse la las manos, no hay NADA por haber no Hhay ni mamparar hay nocabiuespecie

Een fijne woning

We hebben een fijn verblijf gehad in een prima huis op een goede locatie. De woning was erg schoon. Stephen is een fijne, vriendelijke verhuurder die zeer behulpzaam is!!!

3ter Aufenthalt und einmal mehr perfekt

Wir haben zum 3ten Mal wunderbare Tage in diesem schönen Haus verbracht und sind einmal mehr begeistert. Von A-Z hat alles einwandfrei geklappt und die Lage des Hauses ist ideal sowohl für Tagesausflüge als auch einfach den Tag am Pool oder auf der Terrasse zu geniessen. Wir freuen uns bereits jetzt auf das nächste Mal.

Estupenda

La casa está muy bien, muy bonita, aunque le faltaría un aire acondicionado en la habitación de dos camas. El jardín enorme y precioso y la zona de la piscina estupenda. Lo hemos pasado muy bien.

Zuerst die guten; Gute Lage, toller Garten. Ruhig und uneinsehbar. Schlechte; Das Haus und die Einrichtung ist sehr alt! Absolut renovierungsbedürftig. Sonnenliegen defekt , Couch mieft. Ein Badezimmer in Takt das andere nicht. Kommunikation mit dem Eigentümer funktioniert dann wenn es in seinem Interesse liegt. Sehr späte Rückmeldung bis gar keine. Pool bis zum Schluss dreckig, trotz mehrfach Erwähnung nicht gereinigt. Ich denke für den Preis bekommt man schon modernere Häuser in der Gegend.

Fantastic!

This is an excellent property, easy to locate and a perfect distance between Nerja and Frigiliana. The views are breathtaking, it is your own private slice of paradise! It’s a traditional Spanish finca with plenty of places to dine, relax, swim and enjoy the views. Kitchen was basic but we had all we needed to enjoy our stay. Stephen was so helpful and we would happily return.

Séjour agréable.

Villa très bien située, très au calme. Le propriétaire est très réactif (organisé) si besoin. Procédure d'arrivé et de départ simple. Un seul défaut : La 2ème chambre n'a pas la climatisation. Je reviendrai volontiers si ce point est corrigé.

2 Wochen voller Entspannung

Wir konnten in diesem tollen Haus 2 wunderbare Wochen verbringen. Die Lage ist optimal für Tagesausflüge. Geschäfte und das Meer sind in Kürze zu erreichen. Das Haus ist mit Liebe und viel Geschmack eingerichtet und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Steohen und seine Frau sund sehr gastfreundlich und zuvorkommend. Bei Fragen sind Sie jederzeit da und trotzdem respektieren Sie die Privatsphäre. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

La casa es estupenda , rodeada de un jardin enorme y una piscina muy agradable . Por ponerle una pega , las noches han sido muy calurosas dentro de la casa, sería interesante mejorar ese punto. Por lo demás, muy recomendable.

Amazing property in great location, lovely house with beautiful gardens

Had a brilliant week, couldn’t have hoped for better house with such an amazing garden and setting. Nerja and Frigiliana both minutes by car or walkable. Lots of restaurants and beaches within a 20-30 minute drive. Pool was fab, picturesque views of the mountains and across to Nerja. Stephen was very kind (provided Christmas tree with lights and decs, plenty of wood and lovely wine), very helpful and suggested some great restaurants / adventures that we embarked upon and very much enjoyed. A wonderful place to visit, unwind and experience the true taste of Andulucia. We’d love to go back again and explore even more, so much to offer. Thanks for a great holiday.

A spacious villa in a quiet residential area; some aspects of the villa need attention.

Pros: the villa is large with a spacious terrace and pretty garden. There was plenty of room in the living accommodation.The double bed was comfortable. Cons: we were unable to use the modern shower/wet room as it flooded the floor and was dangerously slippy. Parking space is for one small car, our Nissan Micra only just fitted in. The steep steps up to villa are unlit, dangerous at night. A simple welcome pack of tea bags and milk would have been appreciated. Town maps of Frigiliana and Nerja showing, for example, location of supermarkets, would be helpful. Two/three bin bags were needed rather than guests having to buy rolls of them. There was a lack of instructions for the washer, etc. We could not find a visitors' book (always full of useful tips); it was mentioned in the file. Some dvds had no discs in them! Outdoor furniture was past its sell buy date and only two loungers were available on the upper patio.

Hi, I am Patricia Todd and welcome you to this little, perfect corner of Spain - the hamlet of La Molineta and the village of Frigiliana.

My late husband, Stephen Todd moved here from UK in 1997 and made Frigiliana his home. Stephen was an architect, he chose and refurbished this house with an eye to classical Spanish/Moorish culture and his own eye for design.

I hope to continue his legacy of generosity of spirit and welcome . I live close by, providing on site help as and when needed.
