Perfect weekend stay

Our stay could not have been any better. The place is one of the best we have ever stayed and the view was just incredible! The journey there by boat was all part of the adventure and we had so much fun jumping off the jetty at high tide and having BBQs in the evening. Everything you could need for cooking your own meals were provided and everywhere was so clean and comfortable. Could not recommend more, we will be back!

Absolutely stunning!

My Wife and I stayed at Allawah for our honeymoon and I can't recommend it enough. The photos hardly do it justice. The house is immaculate with a great kitchen and everything you need to relax but the views and privacy of the location are absolute perfection! I wouldn't change a thing - other than staying longer next time :)

Our 2nd trip to Allawah

After visiting once before we had an idea what to expect but we were taken by surprise!! Since we last stayed five plus years ago the kitchen has been replaced, stocked with absolutely everything you would ever need. There is a new addition of an outside laundry and second toilet. The owners definitely have very good taste. Everything from the candles to the plates and even the blankets and throws are all of top quality. We will definitely be back to stay in the near future :)

Perfect!

What a fabulous property. We've been meaning to come to the Hawkesbury River and stay for the last 30 years, so glad we waited til now. The property was exceptional. The concertina verandah doors were open wide like it welcomed us with open arms. Candles lit, aircon on. Beautiful, thoughtful, decor. It was super clean and fresh with everything you could possibly need (being remote it was a blessing). Spares of everything including torch batteries, we only really needed to bring our groceries (and wine). Olive oil, salt and pepper, various teas and coffees were provided. Plenty of information before and during our stay was clearly written out, as was all necessary instructions. Though the weather was contrary, we really didn't mind as we just enjoyed being there and enjoying the peaceful nature of the setting. Just go, you won't be disappointed, and we will definitely be back! Thank you for providing such a wonderful experience.

Amazing location

Had a great weekend staying at Allawah. Amazing property with spectacular views. Property had everything you need for a relaxing private get away. Great base to explore the Hawkesbury area of you have your own boat. Highly recommended and will definitely book again for a longer period (not just a weekend)

The perfect escape for two

This property is simply perfect. Stunningly located on the Hawkesbury it is pristine, unique and perfectly appointed. You will feel a world away from it all - but still in complete comfort, with everything you need for a perfect weekend. We booked this for my husbands surprise 50th romantic weekend getaway and just loved it. Just an hours drive from home, but once you arrive after the boat ride it feels a million miles from the everyday. Jacque the booking agent is superb, kind and organised. Take all her advice for the perfect weekend! We got our boat from berowra waters marina and couldn’t fault them. Just wonderful people (take their advice to have a meal at chefs secret 😉). My tips are - take all the food you need to cook, as it’s not easy to get more. And in winter take firewood to get the wood burning fireplace going.

A Magic Place

This house was delightful, beautifully decorated, immaculate, and in a perfect position to explore the Hawkesbury. The added touches of candles, lovely plants & gardens was much appreciated. The jetty is superb & was so easy for us to tie up our boat.

Perfect romantic weekend getaway

My partner and I stayed at Allawah House for our anniversary. It was perfect. The communication and information from Jacqui was so helpful which made it easy right from the beginning. The location and house was outstanding. We fished, went for a bush walk behind the property and swam in a waterfall and enjoyed absolute peace and quiet for the perfect romantic experience. Couldn’t recommend more!!

What else can you say about this place that others havent said before. Its truly a mini paradise on the river. Styling is classy but comfortable, the layout of the house is breathtaking, espacially the master bedroom. The hosts were nothing short of welcoming and super helpful for me, and I can’t thank Jacqui enough for all she did to make our stay the special occasion it was.

Wonderful getaway

This property was absolutely beautiful. It was even more impressive than the pictures. The main bedroom was stunning with views of the water and we loved watching the stars at night cosy and warm. Everything was extremely clean and the finishes modern and so well thought out. Perfect for our little family.

Outstanding hospitality

Beautiful weekend away!! The house was just stunning from the time we arrived to when we left. Our boat actually suffered an engine failure on our way to Spencer - managed to get towed back to Allawah where we were ‘stranded’ until Sunday. Magnificent place to be stranded 👌😊

Perfect

Photos didn’t do Allawah justice. Beautifully and artfully appointed to suit couples and we had the best and most relaxing time. Fantastic communication with Jacqui and some well worthwhile recommendations that made the 3 night stay seamless. This included long lunch at Peats Bite with transfers from jetty to jetty as well as water taxi and tinny package for the weekend. We took the tinny to Spencer for beers and steak sandwich and took our fishing gear to enjoy our slow but enjoyable punt up river. Private jetty and beach is delightful. Husband caught a lovely flathead (released rather than eaten) right off the jetty. We went kid free as a relaxing weekend however would quite happily return with our 7 and 5yo - a family holiday would also be perfect at Allawah. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again. I loved the Hawkesbury and Allawah is the epitome of a all-rounder best river stay experience. Glad we chose Allawah over a house boat.

This is the most perfect house in a perfect setting

We absolutely love Allawah, this was our second visit and we will definitely come again. The house is prefect with stunning views of the Hawkesbury. Jacqui is a great host! We have our own tinny so had a wonderful time exploring the river and relaxing on the deck. Absolute heaven, we couldn’t recommend it more highly!

Beautiful place/property

This was a lovely place with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is especially well equipped. Felt like we were in a remote tropical location rather then 45 min drive from Sydney!
