FAMILY GETAWAY AT Mt COOLUM BEACH

Great location, close to beach, parks, and shops not far away, great rooms for family, big enough but not too big for family of 10. Clean, comfortable and very friendly community. Would stay there again

Great for families

Beautiful house in a fantastic location. So close to bike / walking paths, coffee shop, surf club, dog beach and patrolled beach. Only negative is the mozzies in the evening 😬 nothing a bit of bug repellent won't fix though 👍

Birthday celebration

Great place to stay. Position great for beach, walks, coffee shops and local IGA. Easy to visit local attractions, Ginger Factory, Bali Bali Castle and Australia Zoo. 5 year old Grandson from NZ said the pool was his favourite! Would certainly recommend.

40th Bday Getaway

I can’t say more fantastic things about The Green House. The property incredible and it felt like time slowed down while we were there. It was so close to everything and you can either walk or take a short drive to many cafes and restaurants. Will definitely be staying again and also recommending to EVERYONE!!!

Great holiday stay.

We enjoyed the space of the home, giving our family areas to get away from each other. The location was perfect with the beach being a short stroll away. Unfortunately the wi-fi was very limited and then ran out quite quickly so on the rainy days we couldn’t access Netflix - with teenagers in the home this was quite disappointing as it was part of the attraction. It was great to have our dog with us and the accessible dog beach was perfect.

Great place for extended family

Stayed here at Easter with a group of 8 - 2 adults in 50s plus six aged 18-22yo. Lovely place to stay, lots of different spaces, big central kitchen. Large bedrooms and lovely master suite with a large private upstairs balcony/deck perfect for a morning coffee in the sun. Photos were indicative of the place. Some minor areas where the place was showing its age slightly but no problems with anything. Not sure the aircon worked but we didn't need it. Couple of minutes walk to the beach, peaceful location away from the hustle and bustle of the towns but still close to everywhere we wanted to go. Would happily stay again.

Summary

The property is pleasant and nice in that it is so near to the beach. Unfortunately the stay was marred by the air conditioning not working, but we were remunerated for this shortfall by a partial reimbursement.

Wonderful stay at town of seaside

Beautiful property backing onto a peaceful nature reserve and walking distance to gorgeous local cafes and steps from the beach. Comfy beds and beautiful pool. Love the dog friendly beach and that the house accommodates fur babies! For a large group, the lounge configuration would be challenging to all watch a movie together in comfort. Some appliances (such as the toaster) is in need of replacement in addition to a couple of little maintenance issues that I will advise of for future guests comfort. A beautiful area and house in a lovely location if peace and nature is what you’re dreaming of.

Great Location

The property is in a great location, quiet and pet friendly. However, the property is in desperate need of a good spring clean and maintenance, just some of the issues identified as follows: 1) Cushions on outside lounge filthy and could not be used 2) Cushions in lounge room dirty 3) Toilet seats whilst clean where perished and need replacing 4) Fan on balcony rusted out and needs replacing 5) Some blinds do not open or close properly 6) Some door handles need to be fixed 7) Pot plants by the pool add no aesthetic value, are perished and drop leaves in the pool, get rid of them

Davey Green House Stay, June,2024.

Overaĺ happy with holiday. Unfortunately weather bad. House had a few short comings. No downstairs shower or electric plug in downstairs bathroom/powderroom?, bifold doors kept locking us out(needs handles on outside, bbq too small for 10 guests, maintenance items that should have been reported by cleaners had to reported by us and the lovely maintenance nan came and fixed, laundry door leaks in storms and the water comes in and goes everywhere except down the drain hole?Lovely stay just a shame house had shortfalls that in most cases could be so easily fixed. Holly was good at follow up but limited by the house shortcomings.

Slipshod

First impression, the lawn needed mowing and sand in the pool. A man turned up unannounced to vacuum the sand. We also found male underwear in a drawer, the ignition to the BBQ didnt work, the Finish rinseaid bottle was nearly empty, very little handsoap or toilet paper. The location is great with a short walk to the beach and a quiet neighbourhood. We enjoyed the pool and all the space as its a big house. I had to phone twice re. BBQ with the Prestige Homes compan asking if there was a bbq lighter to do the job. Sure, but its not listed as required. On booking i enquired about bringing 2 dogs but it wasnt until a few weeks out, they informed us the family will only accept 1 dog.

Special Birthday holiday

Hi Just some feedback re our booking. The house was beautiful and location great. Our family had a lovely time in Mt Coolum. My only concern and disappointment was the fact that we were not able to swim in the pool due to equipment failure. The solar heater was broken and was not repaired during our stay. We were advised on the day of our arrival that the pool solar heater was broken and that an electrician would come to the house to look at the issue. In the end not fixable during our stay which was disappointing. The wi fi router was not working but was advised that a dongle would be left for us to connect to wi fi. That was fine but our main concern was we were not compensated or given an apology for the inconvenience when we checked out. I understand these problems can occur and are sometimes out of your control but the pool was part of the attraction for booking with you. I look forward to hearing your response.

Had a brilliant stay at this lovely property. We had 8 adults staying in the house and it was perfect. Close to the beach but a little drive into town. Loved the area and would consider booking this property again.

Great location

Lovely stay over the Easter period. So close to the beach and the walking/bike path through the nature reserve between the house and beach. Only a few minutes walk to good coffee. A beautiful area. Very tranquil, even at peak times when the Sunshine Coast is so busy. A hidden gem. The house was everything we needed and the manager, Vicky, very helpful.

Best family stay on the coast

Amazing location, great for multiple families, perfect distance from some good cafes and restaurants in Marcoola (little boat). Quiet neighbour hood. Could not fault our stay.

My family and I had a great time at The Green House. It is a minute or two walk to the beach and the property is well maintained. We were met at the property on our arrival so a very easy check in process. Highly recommend The Green House.

Beautiful house and had enjoyable time for the long weekend

The house and location provided us with everything we needed for a great family getaway weekend. The dogs enjoyed the house and being able to run on the sand without a lead. Just had to remember the time restrictions for dogs off the lead.
