Very nice cabin with beautiful views! I was happy to find a cabin with two king bedrooms, We were traveling with friends and it was nice to each have a king bed. Be sure and bring whatever food items you need, it's a little far out. We forgot to bring coffee, but fortunately someone had left a can from their visit and we were saved! We would most certainly stay here again. Our one regret was that we didn't another day to just stay and relax in this wonderful place!

Wonderful cabin enjoyed the sunset and how clean property was didn’t enjoyed the car show and loudness of the cars but that had nothing to do with cabin it was wonderful. Will be calling to stay on property again in the futures

We have stayed at the Highlander twice now and I would highly recommend it! Amazing views, clean cabin with excellent furnishing, new patio furniture and very comfortable beds. The owner was also very accommodating when I had to change our dates.

Great place to stay!

We had a great time and the bears came to visit us, it was very exciting!! Also the cabin is only a few minutes from Pigeon Forge!

Beautiful view from cabin

Our stay at the Highlander was wonderful. The view from the cabin is awesome. The cabin was lovely and provided everything we needed. Valerie quickly responded to us when we contacted her. We were easily able to extend our stay another day. We hope to go back sometime.

We had a great week

The property is very clean and comfortable. The views are spectacular and the neighborhood is great. It's a very convenient location to Pigeon Forge attractions and to the national park.

Perfect family stay with a stunning view!

Couldn't ask for a better place to stay! This cabin had everything we needed for our family of 5. Kitchen had all the utensils and pots/pans we needed in addition to seasoning and cooking oils. The cabin itself is gorgeous and squeaky clean. To our surprise, it was decorated with beautiful Christmas decorations which really topped off the magical vibe. It's easy to tell this place is well cared for and loved by the owner. The view from the back porch is amazing! We were lucky enough to see snowfall while we were there. The kids were thrilled to watch snow flow over the mountain tops all the way to our back porch. Such a unique experience to say the least. We especially loved how easy it was to enjoy the fire place by simply turning on a timer. We would love to stay here again for our next trip to Gatlinburg!

Amazing views

Cabin was nicely decorated and fully stocked with anything you would need. Plenty of room for 4 adults. Driveway was a little steep but managable. We had a great time and even got to see some snow!

Gorgeous Views

The Highlander is a very nice cabin in our favorite Sherwood Forrest Resort. Having stayed in over 14 cabins in the Smokies, this is a good value for a vacation rental. Squeaky clean, well stocked with everything you need, comfy beds, and a short commute to the Pigeon Forge Parkway. Yes, you need to put your parking break on for the steep driveway but it’s worth it. This is a cabin we would return to.

Beautiful View!

Beautiful cabin. Clean and stocked with enough essentials to get you set up. Neighborhood is on very steep incline up the mountain, but it’s manageable and worth the view. Had a great time!

Perfect Location

The drive can be steep, so I don't know how it would be in bad weather but parking at the cabin is pretty level, and it was easy to navigate with a senior and 2 kids. The view is amazing. My daughter didn't want to leave and has requested to come to this cabin every year. It was clean, easy to find what we needed, and had all the connectivity we needed though we spent most of the time wanting to be disconnected and took walks, swam (the pool was cold from heavy shade so fair warning), chilled in the hot tub, and played pool in the loft. It was also within 10-30 minutes of everything we wanted to do over the 4-day stay.

Great Experience

The location of this property was perfect and the views were breathtaking. Parking with a full size vehicle can be tricky but it was manageable. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The host was very responsive to any requests or concerns we had. We did recieve a couple unwanted visits from two racoons when we were on the back deck but that was no fault of the owners. Otherwise we enjoyed every bit of our stay.

I am a very blessed Mother of (2) children. We are native's, born and raised in Middle Tennessee. We have traveled all over the USA, with my children athletes. In all of our travels, there have only been (2) places that we always want to go back to, and one of those is the Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, TN. area. I can tell you that the Smokey Mountains are some of the most spectacular mountains in the USA. Home of the Great Smokey Mountain National Park, no matter what time of year you visit, you will be blessed, with spectacular scenery! Our favorite months are during the winter, if you have never experienced the snow capped mountains, ice climbing, etc. it is about time you did! No matter what time of year you decide to visit, you will be blessed that you did, and we will be here to welcome you! We are absolutely positive that you will fall in love with this place, just as much as we have!
