We booked this property last minute. Only our fifth VRBO. This property was better than our other four. We didn't use the hot tub or the barbecue but the place was spotless. Really spotless. We had one question and they had an answer for us within maybe 20 minutes? They also checked in via email to see if we had any questions after our first night. We spent 6 nights. Location was excellent for skiers and gamblers. The owners treat the house as if they were living there. My wife used well-stocked as her review. I have covered the rest. We got lucky based upon our other four experiences. I can't think of a reason we wouldn't use it again if we need another six days in South Shore.

Wonderful Family Vacation with Friends

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home perfectly fit our needs for 4 adults and 4 children, ranging in age from 1.5yo-6 yo. Everything was clean, the TV is amazing, & the location is incredible. It’s a 3 minute drive to parking for the slopes, ski school + daycare. You’re walking distance to Himmel Haus restaurant (4.7 stars/1,300 Google reviews), a very short drive to other restaurants & shopping. This was incredible because the soles of snow boots I had couldn’t manage the deep, wet snow and I was quickly able to buy some at Tahoe Sports just a few minutes away. We stayed during the barrage of major storms after Christmas in 2022 and were able to keep warm with the gas fireplace, plus overall good insulation of the cabin. Before the big snow dumps occurred, there was some wind that blew out the pilot light to the gas fireplace. I called RnR for some troubleshooting and they were extraordinarily prompt, with their technician Justin coming to assist in less than an hour. He restored the pilot light and was very professional and kind. On New Years Eve, our power went out, along with many other homes all around Tahoe. The gas fireplace kept us warm. The cabin has ample lanterns and light sources so we all rang in the new year with backcountry charm. The other key is this cabin has a gas stove, which allowed us to cook food and boil water despite the loss of power, which made everyone happy. Storms happen. Power failures happen. This cabin is equipped to help you and your family stay warm and fed should Mother Nature strike. I have friends who recently stayed in Tahoe elsewhere, & when they lost power due to a storm, their cabin was not insulated well; the temperature began to drop precipitously in less than 30 minutes. Not so with this Heavenly Mountain Gem. RnR is one of the best management companies I’ve interacted with, which is why they are at the top of my list when booking in South Lake Tahoe. We’ve stayed with RnR before, and

We really enjoyed the property. The kitchen refrigerator was out and we had to use the downstairs refrigerator for 6 which was unfortunate but the host let us know prior to arrival. The 10 AM checkout is a rush to get a number of people ready, packed, and clean.Overall we really liked our stay and the host is very responsive.

Thank you for your review and for choosing to stay with us! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the property and found our team responsive throughout your stay. We appreciate your understanding regarding the kitchen refrigerator. While the timing was unfortunate, we're glad we were able to notify you before arrival and provide the downstairs refrigerator as an alternative during your stay. We also understand that a 10:00 AM checkout can feel early when traveling with a larger group. Our check in/check out times are posted on the homes listing page so you can review them before you book. Unlike a hotel, we unfortunately cannot be flexible with our check in/check out times so that we can properly clean and inspect the home for the next guest. Thank you again for staying with us. We're so pleased that you had an enjoyable visit, and we hope to welcome you back to South Lake Tahoe in the future!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was super clean and comfortable and had everything to make our stay easy and cozy. Lots of utensils in the kitchen, plenty of towels and bedding, a working fireplace, tons of games, and more than enough room for my family (2 adults, 2 children) and my parents. Location is great- lots of yard to explore (saw a bear in the backyard one morning!), and super close to the mountain for easy drop off and pick up.

Walk to Heavenly Ski Resort

Perfect location to ski at Heavenly Ski Resort. The kitchen is very well stocked. The windows let in a lot of light and nature views. The property management company was terrific to work with, very responsive and helpful. Unfortunately, we had a hot tub and shower issue and they resolved it very quickly. They were great to work with! I would highly recommend this house.

Very Nice!

Our family really enjoyed staying at this house. It was really close to both the Ski resort and shopping centers (very close to state line where all the south Lake Tahoe stores and shops are). The house was clean, neat and well kept. The beds were all comfortable and the bedrooms were plenty big enough . The only issue we had was with parking. The homeowner keeps his large SUV in the garage allowing for a very tight fit of a small second car in the garage and two cars for the driveway. We brought a small boat which we normally can easily fit into a garage but it would not fit and we were not allowed to keep the boat in the driveway. So we had to pay 400 dollars to store the boat down at the keys launch ramp area for the week. There are no cars allowed on the street for parking. So make sure you get your parking situation dialed in before renting this house. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay here.

David, thank you for your review. We are glad to hear you were pleased with the spaciousness, cleanliness and ideal location of the home. We greatly appreciate you mentioning the small garage and the South Lake Tahoe ordinance that prevents vacation home renters from parking boats in driveways. We’re sorry to hear these were hurdles for you and had the unexpected storage expense. While some smaller boats fit in the garage, the Tahoe Keys Marina is a good backup storage plan for medium-to-large boats. Call ahead to reserve a parking spot. We are glad you enjoyed your stay in beautiful South Lake Tahoe!
