The house was truly fantastic, and we thoroughly enjoyed the amazing property. The host was initially welcoming and graciously offered us a late checkout, which we appreciated. Communication with the host was clear and effective. However, several issues impacted our stay. The living room lounges were uncomfortable and badly sunken. Complimentary toiletries were lacking; there was no hand wash in the ensuite, which is unusual for holiday homes. The toilet seat cover seemed poorly repaired and broke during our stay. We met all requirements by taking out the bins, washing dishes, tidying living areas, and some of us even made the beds out of courtesy. Despite paying 1,934.40 in cleaning fees, the host contacted us with irritation, describing the house as “filthy” and complaining about fingerprints. They appeared to expect us to mop and extensively clean the house. This response was very disappointing and overshadowed what could have been a much better experience.
