Lara, I’m sorry you encountered the issues mentioned in the review. I wanted to address all of them but also mention that no one reached out to us during the week in an attempt to rectify. I would have gladly addressed all of these immediately. 1. Upon arrival if the house is not cleaned to the satisfaction of renters I would have and will have the cleaners return to the house and address anything pointed out. 2. I have address all of the cleaning issues. The owner will be self inspecting cleanliness prior to arrivals. 3. The plastic shower guide on the bottom of the door has been reattached and secured and the hinges on the bathroom toilet have been tightened. Simple fixes. 4. The rusted furniture was under the covered lanai at the beginning of the season and Should have stayed there. This is a noted owners area and the items within are not to be used. They must have been brought out front and used sometime during the season. I have had them removed from the property. My apologies. That was unacceptable. 5. The bikes have been there for 3 years. Up to this point no one had made any reference to poor condition. They have accumulated rust from the sea air but were functional at the start of the season. If someone had contacted me about the condition I would have rented a set of bikes from the local shop. I do appreciate you pointing this out to help my next renters whom I did rent two bikes to use as replacements for the week. 6. As the rental season lags on items do and have gone missing. It would have been very easy for me to order a set of forks through Amazon Prime for next day delivery. I did have the cleaners count after your stay and they counted 10. I have ordered more for the season. We take tremendous pride in our house and rent it out to families like yourselves a few weeks out of the year so others can have memorable family vacations like we have over the years at the beach. I just wish you had given us the opportunity to address the issues by reaching out during your stay. Whenever an issue has occurred during a rental, the comments from the renters usually include “incredibly responsive”and “addressed any issues during our stay”. I can only fix these issues if they are communicated and I’m happy to do so to ensure families renting have the best possible family vacation at our home. Thank you for letting me know about these concerns. The cleaners were inspected, forks replaced, loose items tightened, rusted items removed, bikes rented.
