A beautiful, peaceful spot in the bush with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We absolutely loved it and would happily recommend it. Even though it was hot outside, the place stayed cool and comfortable, making it easy to relax and unwind. Debbie and Noel were great hosts!

My partner & I loved our stay, we didn't want to leave. This property offers the feeling of bush camping with all the amenities you need and is dog friendly. It's the perfect location to explore the coast. The hosts communication was good and they were very welcoming. We have already rebooked, can't wait to come back

Such a cute little place, you feel so secluded but only a 10 minute drive into town! Perfect place to stay :) bed is very comfy too!

We loved the secluded location of the property and especially the spa bath that was nicely located within the main area of the cabin. The bed was comfy, we loved the fact that all basic cooking needs were there- oil, salt, tea, coffee and milk. The place was clean and serene, and we didn't realise until the following day that the fireplace was stacked and ready to light! Loved the fireplace too. It wasn't the best weather, so we stayed indoors, but the outdoors looked like a lovely area to explore. The wifi was fast and worked well, we were overall really happy with our stay- it was just what we needed to unwind and relax from our busy lives!!

11/10 highly recommend!Before we even got there, Debs communication was great. Location of the Love shack was amazing, we already felt detoxed as we parked the car and we hadn't even opend the door! Upon entry, the shack was spotless, warm and cozy. There was plenty of wood for the fire, bed was comfy, spa was perfect and it was only about a 15ish minute drive to the restaurants with 5 star food.I already want to go back! If I was to nit pick and point out the faults which were very minor, I would say I was really excited to wake up to horses however there wasnt any around as pictured. Also the spa jets didnt turn inside the bath so they were either really strong or they had to be turned off, we couldn't adjust them.Thank you for a stay to remember, we will definitely be back some day, it was up there with one of the best!

Love Shack

Thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting/needing a relaxing stay. We loved sitting on the back porch with a glass of wine and taking in the scenery. Take some carrots to feed the horses. Cottage exceptionally clean and well appointed. We look forward to another stay - this time in the cooler months.

Beautiful Rural Property - The Love Shack

My partner and I along with our dog had a lovely short stay at this delightful property. It is secluded and private, set in Bushland and very quiet. The accomodation had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay.

Great little getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Love Shack. Very peaceful and serene which is what we both needed. Our 2 dogs had an absolute ball there. This is our second time there and we certainly will be back again.

Gorgeous weekend getaway

Absolutely perfect! We stayed here for the 3rd time and loved it just as much as ever. The property is gorgeous and private. The cabin is warm and cozy. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Cosy and quiet

The place was neat and tidy, and the setting was calming. We came on a rainy day, and were able to enjoy staying indoors for most of the day. Very relaxing.

Perfect winter getaway!

Despite 24/7 rain and wind for our stay we loved our time here. The woodfire and spa bath made it really comfortable inside and our 1 year old border collie loved exploring the area. Great little touches such as warm fire waiting for us and plenty of dog towels helped us manage the wild conditions. Highly recommend

Middle of everwhere bush retreat

Quiet, beautiful bush/rural location.A spacious mudbrick studio, fab ambience and views. Everything you need for a relaxing getaway ot a base to be just a short drive to all that Torquay and Anglesea has to offer.Hosts were so accommadating and great to deal with.

Tranquility

Relaxing, tranquil, mesmerising surroundings. Just enjoying the spa, sitting on the verandah listening to the wildlife, watching the horses, sitting around the fire at night, took us far away from our crazy busy lives.

Gorgeous surprise

Arrived in the dark, but thanks to Deb’s directions we found it easily. Loved our stay and so did our two border collies. Watching the horses were amazing and so were the birdlife with no less than 3 different species of owls calling at the same time on the first night. The cottage is cozy, the linen gorgeous and really appreciated the goodies on arrival. Thanks Deb. Hope we can stay here again soon.

With Noel's love of surfing and mine of horse riding, this was the perfect location for us.
We have now both retired from our careers as professional fire fighter and practice manager, to really enjoy the beauty that our property delivers.

Mud brick houses have great thermal properties. Cool in the summer and warm in the winter. We have designed the cabins using secondhand timbers.
We work at being as sustainable as possible. Solar panels, tank water, recycling, orchid, vegetable and herb garden, all are part of our way of life.
