Morrison cottage, wine country getaway

Morrison cottage is a four-bedroom cottage situated in the heart of Pokolbin, in the Hunter wine-growing area. Morrison is set in quiet, private bushland, within walking distance of Audrey Wilkinson's winery.

With three queen beds and twin singles, the cottage sleeps eight guests. The bedrooms are en-suite. Morrison cottage has a large living area and an outdoor verandah with a gas BBQ. All linen is provided, and the kitchen is fully equipped. The cottage has air-conditioning and a fireplace.

The cottage is kept meticulously clean by our long-term housekeeper,

It was a really pleasant stay, and everyone had an amazing time. It was so lovely to be surround by nature, waking up with kangaroos hopping around. We all had a very relaxing experience. We definitely would like to stay there again.

Girls weekend

Rather than staying in several motel rooms, Morrison cottage was perfect.4 bedrooms, 4 ensuites a large kitchen and a lovely log fireplace kept us warm and the conversation flowing. Great communication from the host.

Great house!

We had a great stay. House is big, clean and in a great central location for visits to wineries, lunch and A day on the green. Owner was flexible with stay and check in/out times and communicated clearly. We will be back! Thank you for having us!

Bush outlook to a spacious Pokolbin cottage

Morison cottage is conveniently situated for a stay in the Hunter. It is roomy with 4 bedrooms, each with an en suite. It has a large living area with a wood fire, and effective airconditioners. The kitchen is well appointed and stocked. The cottage has a sizeable deck with table and chairs and a barbeque overlooking the bush. A very quiet and comfortable stay. We would certainly stay there again.

Lovely setting

My friends and I had a lovely girls weekend. We did have a few suggestions for improvements: some of the cleaning could be improved as well as provision of guest instructions. Bill will take these onboard. The location is gorgeous and quiet in a bush setting, the fire set up ready to light, and we were comfortable. you might need more wood if using the fire more than one night.

Gorgeous old house. Wonderful location!

A really charming, spacious and clean house backing onto scenic bushland with beautiful native birds singing. It had a wonderful feel to it and despite its age, it was very clean and comfortable. The location is ideal in the heart of wine country, yet you feel like you are tucked away in the middle of nowhere. We will definitely come back.

Cosy, Quiet, Convenient

We loved our stay! The location is perfect if you’re visiting wineries, or just after a relaxing getaway. The cabin looks out into bushland which is very relaxing and peaceful. The check-in process was easy as! I would happily return for another getaway.

Hens Weekend

Perfect for friends getting together. The en-suite bedrooms meant everyone was comfortable and had their own space. Large balcony and living area were great for board games and sunset drinks. Cooked up breakfast on the BBQ overlooking tranquil bush. Everything we needed was there including fully equipped kitchen and bath towels.

Great place for a mini break !

Can't fault anything about our stay ! Great location, close to all the wineries. Settling down next to the fire was an added bonus at the end of the day. Thanks so much.
